This is by far the worst furbiture store experience I have ever had. Avoid this place, unless you like hassle and inflexibility. The system here is from the 1990's befote the internet was invented. Whatever you buy here, once your credit card goes through is unchangeable. They have no furniture in stock ... everthing in the store must be ordered and delivered. Add $300 to the cost of any furniture you buy for delivery. You heard that right ... $300 delivery fee! Non-negotiable. The worst part ... if you buy a dining set and decide you want two more chairs once its delivered ... $300 more for delivery of two chairs! We (regretfully) bought a couch here and after it was delivered, decided we wanted the matching ottomon. The $400 ottomon had a $300 delivery fee attached. 'You shoukd have bought it with the couch', they said. It's almost like they don't want to sell furniture. The wirst is the total inflexibility of the system. We ordered a sectional couch, which would take almost a month to arrive. Three of the pieces were delivered in 1 week. The other two pieces would be delivered in 5 weeks. We paid one $300 price for the two deliveres since it was the same order. However, when the couch arrived, it looked totally different in our living room than it looked in the showroom with a million spotlights on it. We called to ask if we could change the color before the next delivery of the last pieces came. They told us we would have had to pay something crazy like a 20 - 30% restock fee plus another $300 delivery fee to change the colour. The couch was $4,400. That would mean over $1,000 to be able to change to the different colour. We live 10 miles from the store!! Jordans, Bob's and just about any other furniture store offer a satisfaction guarentee where if you don't like what you buy, they'll exchange it for free! Macy's won't help you. So, now we are stuck with a $4,400 couch we hate. It looked and felt great in the store. It looks like shit in our living room ... and even worse, it feels like shit. The soft, foamy cushions in about 3 weeks of use lose their fluffiness. There is a crater where I have sat to watch tv and when you sit in the cushions, now your ass practically touches the frame below. Read the reviews of Macy's couches and you will see this is a common theme. I'd expect this from a cheap couch ... but a $4,400 couch that now feels like we bought it at Big Lots. Pardon my french but fuck this place. The staff here suck ... they are unfriendly, swarm you like flies when you walk in ... stalk you around the store like Michael Myets while you are browsing and then are of zero help after the sale. Seriously, I hate to give this place even one star. Delivery fees 3x the other stores ... no in-stock inventory at all ... total inflexibility on exchanges ... it's just a huge nightmare dealing with this place at all. read more

Not a good experience, will not be using them again. We ordered two custom sectional sofas for our basement. Given the tight stairwell to get the pieces downstairs, we asked for someone from the store to come measure to confirm what we had chosen we fit. He said it would. Turns out it wouldn't so we had to go back and choose something else. Then they called four times for my credit card info between ordering and placing the deposit and the delivery. They actually called me a month before delivery to say that they had to put a hold for the charge on my card just to make sure we'd pay it. When the sofas were delivered, the delivery guys were convinced they wouldn't fit. I told them to take the pieces out of the boxes. They fit down the stairs but left us with a big hole in the wall and a huge mess of styrofoam and cardboard all over the house. One of the sofas was damaged and the customer service rep - when we finally got someone on the phone - insisted that someone had to come out to look at it despite me sending them a picture of the ripped fabric. We worked for weeks to get someone to agree to reimburse us for the damaged wall and then ultimately decided to return the damaged sofa instead of ordering a replacement because we were done dealing with them. When the "white glove" service came to pick up the sofa, after changing our delivery time 90 mins before they were supposed to be here, they damaged our newly painted walls in two places. The men barely spoke English, didn't offer an apology for the damage he very clearly caused with his carelessness, and walked out of my house. Customer service then argued about reimbursing us for both damages and went back on the price they agreed to after the sofas were delivered. Needless to say, we will not be purchasing anything else from Macy's and will suggest others steer clear as well. One of the worst furniture buying experiences we've ever had. read more

Items are marked up then marked "sale" but in reality their "sale" price is what you'll pay somewhere else... Wasn't impressed with the furniture like I thought I would be. It was okay. Their 3rd party delivery service, White Glove, cancelled my approved delivery without a phone call. Waited three hours, jumped through many hoops to find out what happened to me delivery? Zip. No answer why it was cancelled same day of delivery. I had to keep calling to get a reschedule. Even though my sofa was being stored 30 minutes away, I had to wait four days. One of the movers was talking on his cell to his girlfriend while the other mover practically delivered my sofa alone. He gave me the White Glove Delivery Commitment Checklist and told me to say I had outstanding service. Not one thing was done that was on that checklist!! Confused by all the poor ratings here. I have bought a few pieces of furniture here over the years, and I have no complaints with my most recent experience. I ordered a bed and kitchen set, and worked with Cathy A in the process. She was absolutely delightful to work with. So helpful and just so sweet. She helped us set up our delivery for our bed, and she explained every step of the process- e.g. what to expect on the day of our delivery, what if our furniture doesn't meet our expectations, etc. She covered it all. Our kitchen set was on backorder, and she clearly explained the process of arranging our delivery once the furniture was back in stock. It was easy to do once I got the notification. Macy's sends email and phone notifications once your furniture is in stock, and once you schedule your delivery online, which was easy to do. On both delivery days, the delivery workers were courteous and professional. They were efficient setting up our furniture and cleaned up any packing materials from the setup. I received a call prior to them arriving telling me they were on the way. Both deliveries occurred within the two-hour time frame that I was given. We love our furniture! We even received follow-up phone calls from Cathy after both deliveries were made, and she sent us a thank you card in the mail. Great customer service, great furniture, great quality and value. You find out how good a company is when you have issues with product quality. I have been a Macy's customer for 30 years, purchased several pieces of furniture from Macy's and other companies. August 2016 purchased Italian leather sectional, "superior quality" and 15 months later quality issues with one piece. After live chat, transferred, then asked to call customer service, then transferred again, Macy's will do nothing. Manufacturer warranty one year. Don't purchase the Worry no more protection as it's a joke. Lesson learned. I have reached out to manufacturer Chateau d'Ax to see their response to quality concerns. Went in looking for some furniture to put inside our new home. Presidents day week sale had some ok offers. your not supposed to use your credit cards or open a new account at all during the process of closing on a home. The sales person told us it wouldn't affect us as its not "charged" on your card until the delivery date. Does that mean the "Pending" sale and credit to debt ratio on my credit score isn't going to show up either? I think not sir.. I prefer not to loose our new house over a "couch" just cause you want to make a sale.. They also made it seems like the sale on the couch was going to end after this weekend, it was not as the sale is for another 3 weeks, after our move in date which we told him. When I first moved to Boston 5 years ago, I more or less started from scratch and furnished my entire apartment at Macy's Furniture. I never intended for it to happen that way, but in the end Macy's had the best selection, prices, and service. In fact, I found their prices to be as low or lower than IKEA, for much better quality. So this weekend as we started our furniture hunt for our new condo, I suggested Macy's Furniture to my sweetie. He wasn't buying it. His tastes lean toward the modern European designers, which is all fine and dandy but we just can't spent $15 grand on a couch. So I humored him and went to a few of the fancy design stores, and finally pressured him to check out Macy's Furniture. Lo and behold, we found a really rad orange leather sectional that was actually on the low end of our price range, and it's already in stock (compared to the fancy places that take 20 weeks to deliver your furniture). It's as stylish and well-made as a similar couch that we found elsewhere that was $6 grand (!!!) but much, much cheaper and it has a built in sofa sleeper to boot. Hot damn! read more

Worst experience ever!!!! If i had not loved the furniture we had purchased i would have never continued with the sale along with contacting the better business bureau and the attorney general. Purchased item to receive a call GM the following day that the incorrect tags were on the item and that i would need to pay the difference after i already bought the item 24 hours earlier! Seriously, couldn't believe the balls this guy had to call me to actually follow through with saying that they sold me the furniture at the incorrect price! meh 3.5 stars. we landed up buying our couch and chair for the living room here, it was not an easy decision by any means, but i was sick of sitting on the hardwood staring up at the flat-screen. the salesman was just that, but he knew his product, so that was fine. i didnt get the whole bob's/jordans sales pitch thing, so plus for that. the cost was comparable to any other middle of the road store (ie Boston interior) but the fact i could save 100 bucks for opening a macys card was enough i guess to proceed. delivery took a long time and when it arrived the delivery people were nice, they didnt cover their boots, so fyi there, but all in all a bit better than average. read more

My wife and I went to almost all furniture stores in the MetroWest area in Massachusetts looking for a couch and a dinning table. When we got to the Macy's Furniture Gallery Shopper's World we where greeted by Judy Su. She was the first person to actually treat us as customers and not tire kickers, and gave us complete attention from the moment we walked through the door. Judy Su took us around and showed us every option, was friendly and obviously knew her product. We where very impressed and ended up purchasing at Macy's Furniture Gallery mostly because of the amazing work Judy Su did. The furniture is of good quality as well, but the service we got was exceptional, keep up the amazing work Judy! read more

Here's a fun update - it's January 3rd, we just spoke to Macy's customer service, who told us the sales team at Framingham checked on the couch on January 1, and they have discontinued the couch so it is no longer possible to repair it, in spite of them promising us they would before December. I am in the middle of a nightmare with Macy's Furniture Gallery. Purchase a leather chair for $800. First chair was delivered and improperly "assembled". It was jammed together to get the back on, so "assembled" might not be doing them justice. It took a month to get them to re-deliver another chair and that is when the real fun started. The delivery people arrived. They failed to hand over the Macy's 5 Star Service Paper describing how they would be careful and use precautions to protect my floor and other belongings. They failed to wear shoe protectors. The attempted to disassemble the first chair. They tipped it forward. I offered them a blanket to protect the floor. They declined and stated they were professions and had been doing this for a long time so did not need the blanket. They gave up on disassembling the first chair and brought in the parts to the second chair. I offered them a blanket again to set up the chair on to protect the floor. They again declined the blanket. I then provided the blanket and MADE them work on top of it to assemble the new chair. They failed to follow the instructions to assemble the chair. The instructions state that the back should be installed, the Velcro flap on the recliner should be attached and then the feet should be attached. I had to make them follow the instructions. I thought all was well since the new chair was now set up on the blanket I had forced them to use and no damage had been done to the floor. Upon completing the assembly of the new chair, they proceeded to work on removing the old chair. Since the back would not come off the first chair they had to awkwardly try to recline the chair and then lift it in the reclined position to get it out of the door. AS THEY LIFTED AND ROTATED THE FIRST CHAIR, MY HEART SANK. That horrible noise was made when you hear two pieces of wood scraping together. I knew either the floor or the first chair was damaged, but not sure which. Did the floor win? Did the leg of the chair win? The leg of the chair being returned won. The 1 year old maple floor lost, so I have a new 6 inch long scratch/gouge in the middle of a pre-finished 3/4" maple floor that I installed. I informed the delivery person of the damage as soon as he put the chair down outside. He came inside, took a picture of the damage and provided me with the route number and the names of his two man crew and indicated that they had insurance and would make it right. I also took a picture of the damage. I called Macy's furniture store. I spoke to someone there for a while and they try to get me to connect with somebody at their call center to file the damage claim. I was provided a number to call and an extension, but the sales person did not realize that that number would not work from my phone at the current time and so I wasted 30 minutes trying to navigate the menus and get through to the extension. After wasting time trying to call a number that was not going to work, I finally had time to look at the new chair they delivered. It was not in good shape. The leather was damaged by shipping I think. I received a voicemail informing me of the 1-888-822-6229 number and that I should talk to Naomi/Niomi. I called the number on Monday and was informed after holding for more time that she did not work on Monday and that I would get a call back. I never got a call back. She managed to call my fiance, but I never got a call. I gave the person my number. So finally today, I called to make sure the 3rd chair was going to be delivered and check in on the progress of the damage claim against the floor. I was told the damage claim had been DENIED. Really? I didn't get a call letting me know. Thanks Macy's Furniture Gallery for sucking at customer service. They claimed that the delivery people claim that the floor was already damaged. Wow. Thanks for lying to cover up your mistake. So to wrap up, I started with $800. so far I have wasted 2 Saturdays waiting on broken furniture and will have to waste another Sunday waiting again for hopefully not broken furniture. HAD MY MAPLE FLOOR DAMAGED BY THE DELIVERY PEOPLE and HAD THE CLAIM DENIED FOR NO REASON! I have spent hours on phone, been given phone numbers and extensions that don't work and in the end all I wanted was a chair. If you have to buy furniture from Macy's Furniture Gallery, have the delivery people set up the furniture outside, spend 20 minutes inspecting it, and get some friends you trust or respectable movers to move the stuff inside. read more

INCOMPETENCE AND TERRIBLE SERVICE. I don't know where to begin... My wife and I ordered a bedroom set, and gave them six weeks to deliver. Six weeks later, the bedroom set shows up, missing all of the bolts and screws needed to put the bed together as well as the dresser mirror that we purchased as part of the bedroom set. Looking back, I'm surprised the rest of the set showed up in decent shape. We call customer service and they say they can get everything resolved for us the next week. Fast forward to the next week - mirror shows up, but bolds/screws are missing. After wasting a ton of time with customer support, and another couple of weeks of waiting, we get a box containing the hardware needed to put the bed together. Sounds good, right? About a week later, Macy's sends their delivery people to put the bed together. They take a look at the hardware and note that the hardware we received is incomplete. So basically it is status quo or they can PARTIALLY build the bed. TO SUMMARIZE: it has now been over 2 months since our original purchase, delivery people have shown up at our house 3 TIMES and (a) we still do not have a bed to use, (b) we still do not have the hardware we need, and (c) there is no end in sight to all of this. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company to stop Macy's from getting paid... which is the first time I've ever had to do that in the decade-plus that I have had a credit card. If the service is this bad when Macy's hasn't been paid yet, I can't imagine how awful it would be if they already had our money in hand. I'm sad to say that I will never purchase anything else from this place... and I'm somewhat in shock because this is the second bedroom set I bought from here, and my experience the first time around (a few years ago) was totally positive. read more

simply stated, this is the largest macy's furniture store in the area. trust me. downtown, south shore plaza, auburn - all smaller in terms of furniture. this one, as opposed to the macy's in the natick mall, is *just* furniture and mattresses. they don't have everything that's in the catalog, but if you want to see something in person to get a sense for it, this is the place to go, and this is the reason i went. sales staff is pretty good - a guy my wife spoke to about a specific piece of furniture remembered the call nearly a week later when we strolled in. nice guy. helped us sort through the 461 gift cards we brought in without any grumbles. sales staff waaaaay outnumbered the customers when we went in on a warm saturday afternoon. we got the, "hi. looking for anything in particular?" line a number of times as we ran the track around the perimeter of the store, but no one was pushy when we said we were just looking. it did take a while for the furniture to arrive - over a month - but it was a large item that they don't stock in quantity, and our salesperson let us know the date we could expect it in before we bought, so we knew we were in for a wait. look, it's macy's. it's not an heirloom, but it isn't ikea, either. wait for one of their frequent sales. white glove delivery - they put it together and remove all the packing materials - is great, and they're going to be there in the future if something goes wrong, but, yeah, it's furniture and how interesting can that possibly be. read more

Ok 2 stars because the store was ok- the help was ok - and ordering was easy. Now with that being said- Don't buy anything here ever! There delivery service is horrible. So bad I could cry. They didn't come in the time frame. The time frame that they give you. They came 35 min late. Because they didn't call to say they would be late and didn't call when they did show up. They where not in any kind of recognizable macy logo uniform or truck. (I was like who are you) There so called"white glove delivery service"is a lie and Im being nice. They showed up in a u-haul truck. Personal appearance and hygiene was not good. They wore shoes in the house and walked over my new rug to go under the table leaving dirty shoe marks. Argued about how to put the table together. He shortly admitted he never put this table totter before. Took 45 min the put two legs on a table and then to top it all off, didn't have 6 Yes count them 6 pieces to the table to finish the legs. Then told tell me they are done and to call customer service about the missing parts. I did and customer service say the only thing we can do is leave how it is - the audacity to say that to anyone that spent a couple of thousand on something and then doesn't get it is ridicules. Order the parts from the manufacture which takes up to 4 weeks Or you can schedule an exchange. :( really . So I am exchanging the table and now have to wait another week for them to came do this again. I know this is a book but its all true - and you should know. I actually have not bought any furniture from Macy's so far but taking a quick look at the furniture when I went there to shop for RUGS, I could see the furniture prices are surprisingly low and since I had just shopped for some furniture I had some benchmark in mind. Anyways, my fiance and I went to shop for rugs and there was a great deal going and we found a really beautiful rug with classic persian design at a great price. This has to be the worst customer service I have ever Had. I have dealt with 5 different people in the past 2 weeks only to be told 5 different stories. I have been on the phone over 6 hours in the past 2 weeks..And my issues were not resolved correctly. My wife and I noticed a beautiful 2 piece hutch (bottom buffet and upper hutch) in clearance one day, but it was being sold with a dining room table and 6 chairs. We didn't need the table set so asked a salesman if I could buy just the hutch, and he told me it was only as a set. I called the next day, hoping to get a different answer, but was told they were a pair again. We noticed it dropped in price then finally was able to buy separate from the table and chairs after I spoke with the manager (who was very professional). I set it up to pick up myself about 2 weeks later. I brought my trailer and a ton of blankets and bubble wrap to pack it in. When I arrived, they had it all packed up in styrofoam, bubble wrap and tape - extremely secure. Much more than I anticipated. Kudos to Macy's for having a great receiving staff and being able to coordinate everything. I'll be back again! read more

we purchased a reclining sofa (which come in 2 pieces) unfortunately after 5 delivery attempts returned it. The sales person judy was wonderful it was the delivery and no customer service that was why we returned the sofa. They delivered us 2 right sides of a sofa and came back several times only to again brings us another right side of the sofa after almost 2 months of dealing with the pieces sliding apart and an arm in the middle of the sofa we just sent it back. we could not imagine if we ever had a problem what it would have been like to get service after this experience. read more

Go see Joe! I went to this location with very strong ideas about what I was looking for and Joe is a godsend. He is very knowledgeable, extremely pleasant, and has the patience of a saint! The showroom is nice and has a good selection to choose from, but Joe is the real star here. Furniture shopping can be grueling, and he will go above and beyond to be helpful, all with a smile. He even offered suggestions of items not in store and knew everything about their special orders, delivery times, etc. He knows his stuff! I would absolutely shop at this location again. Purchased bedroom set on day of delivery they canceled 45 minutes before delivery time, I had already taken day off after just having gone back to work due to Covid19, I took next day off and when furniture arrived footboard and mirror broke. I asked delivery driver to call so could get replacement I was told 2 times he could not call anyone and I would have to call, an hour and ten minutes later I get to speak to someone. The sales rep then preceded to tell me that they could just not take my word for it as far as being damaged, if I did not send pictures I would have to schedule appointment for someone to come review damage THEN they would replace it, so sent pics right away. I asked if could get weekend delivery as I had already lost 2 days pay, I was told NO, they only deliver my area every two weeks. I ask to get morning appointment so I could only lose half day of work, told NO I could not pick delivery time it depends on where it ended up on truck route. The customer service here is non-existent. I wish I had enough time to cancel my order and start my search over, I'm going to regret this purchase until I get rid of the couches, I'm sure. We worked with Peter, not the most delightful person I've met, but I was trying to do the right thing, he was the one that approached us when we walked in, so I stuck it out, but shouldn't have. So, we were originally going to order two sofas and a storage ottoman, I decided the ottoman was too small, so I said I would only order the couches. He showed me a bigger ottoman and I liked it, so I agreed to order it UNTIL he told me the ottoman was special order and the couches weren't, so my options were: 1)Pay a complete separate (unadjusted- usually you get a higher price on the first item, then discounts on any additional items) delivery fee, or 2) wait 10-14 weeks for my couches. Hmmmm, tempting. Not. I even asked if we could just pick the ottoman up, Nope! So needless to say they didn't sell me any ottoman. So now it's time to order the couches and the computers are down. Lovely. So after 20 minutes of waiting, Peter decides to write my information down on a piece of paper that does not so much as SAY Macy's on it. He spells my name wrong, it's all a very fun experience I assure you. No member of management ever came out to address the situation, just left us all there waiting, and waiting, and waiting. One of the sales agents was saying "we knew this would happen because it's been so bad all week," so clearly this is something they should have been planning for. Only because we were desperate I proceeded with the bs. I would've appreciated a phone call when my card was processed. I didn't get one. Supposedly Peter sent me an email, I never got it, and never suggested he didn't send it, simply told him I didn't get it. He was offended and rude about that, too. I've tried to get some resolution to this through corporate as well as the manager of this particular location. I still have none. This was a horrible experience, no one takes responsibility for anything, "we can't control technology" is about all I got from these jerks. First excuse was that the delivery truck broke down, second time around, the weather issue. per rep that called, said due to next day weather concerns they would have to reschedule again. The furniture here is beautiful, but the ancient and slow sales people and horrid customer service, and ridiculous lack of logistics on Macy's part for working with 3rd party vendors, confirms that I will NEVER BUY FURNITURE HERE AGAIN. I bought thousands of dollars worth of furniture in July - couch, love seat, chair, dining set, coffee table and two end tables. At first the deliver date was end of mid-august. Then I got a phone call saying the coffee table and end tables wouldn't get delivered until December! I ended up cancelling the coffee table and end tables because it wasn't worth waiting for. The living set and dining set ended up coming begining of September and the dining table arrived damaged. So I didn't accept it and now I'm waiting on the next one. I've literally called Macy's customer service and told them how much I hate them and they won't do anything to make it better, no sense of urgency, no compensation for the thousands of dollars. Made the purchase process easy and helped with the scheduling of delivery and exchange of multiple pieces of furniture. We are glad he was the associate who assisted us. Canceled a delivery last-minute after waiting 6 weeks for delivery, telling us it was SUDDENLY out of stock (after telling us it was ready to deliver the day before), missed follow-up deliveries for other items, offered gift cards on two occasions, never came through, and had no record of their promises. This store has some nice items. However, the sales clerks are like vultures. As soon as you enter the store, one of them is assigned to you and you are stuck with that person forever. They follow you around the store and there's high anxiety over making a sale. They are super territorial. You can't ask any of the other associates questions. If you happen visit later, they will hound you over who has helped you in the past. It's a super annoying experience. It makes me dread walking into the store. read more

I'm very disappointed in Macys. I do a lot of shopping at their store, thousands of dollars a year. I bought a bed there and the mattress is sagging in the middle. We can barely sleep on it. Someone came out to evaluate it and then put me on the phone with Macy's. They told me that they will not replace the mattress. I respectfully pleaded my case but to no avail. So, I told them that I'm not shopping in their store ever again. I'll also tell my friends and family not to shop in their store again. I just had an excellent experience purchasing two rugs (for my living and dining rooms) from Macy's. I'd been sure I'd buy them from PB - but their stock is limited and, to my surprise, more rustic than I'd expected. A customer in PB saw me looking at the rugs and told me she'd just purchased hers from Macy's in Natick. I decided to check it out and I could not be happier. Their rugs range from contemporary to traditional, with many colors, textures and designs. I brought photos of the furniture and rooms where the rugs were to go and was assisted by Venkat Krishnam. He only showed me rugs within my price range and was very helpful in his descriptions of colors that work best in eating areas, for example. And he checked the stock and said it would take between 5 and 10 days for the rugs to be delivered - and they were delivered within a week, and even before Thanksgiving. That was a very nice surprise. I am not a designer and was very worried about spending a chunk of money on a big purchase where color coordination would be important. I would never have been able to choose rugs that coordinated so well and looked so great. I am very, very happy with this purchase. And my husband was pleased as well. I was thrilled with the selection at Macy's furniture today. We bought a gorgeous 3k rug for $800 and a 5k couch for 3k. The store closed at 9pm and unfortunately by the time the very nice rug salesman finished with our purchase it was 9pm. Another wonderful salesman rang up our couch purchase however the sale took 15 minutes to process. He was thrilled to stay late. However the nasty store manager walked by and stated "you only care about yourself" because it was past closing. He then walked by 5 minutes later and rudely on his phone in Arabic was telling the other person on the other line that some Indians were in he store late....Being pregnant and in an empty store with just him and the nice salesman late at night I was worried he was going to get violent and scrambled as soon as I could. Needless to say I knew I had to share my experience and will certainly be reporting his behavior to his manager tomorrow. What a shame. read more
