Great quality on clothing and accessories . I enjoy going to diffrent stores to see what they have to offer.

This Macy's is a bit smaller than the other Macy's locations that I'm used to but still I can usually find most of what I am looking for here. I've bought very good quality clothing here, especially nightwear and sweaters. Their cosmetics and fragrances department is really nice and there are always plenty of salespeople behind the counters to help you out if you want to try on a product. I've bought several items from this department and have never been disappointed with what I've bought. One of the last times I was here someone from management helped me out with a gift card that I was having trouble using. So the customer service here is great and I can always count on leaving the store happy. They always have their departments attractively set up. And the prices on the merchandise and displays are always very clear. This location is definitely worth visiting. read more

Horrible service, the people who work there are not good. Me and my girlfriend asked if they had baby cloths and the guy said no in a condescending way. We then found baby's cloths in the back of the store. read more

While the last thing I ever want to do on the day after Thanksgiving is shop, my husband talked me into running a couple of errands with him. We ended up at a nearby Macy's. I can't tell you the last time I was in any Macy's outside of the one in NYC, but here we were in search of a particular men's shirt. I was surprised as soon as I walked in. No hordes of people on this the "biggest shopping day of the year"! It was almost too good to be true and I found my inner reluctance melting away. Almost as soon as we hit the men's department, we were greeted by a salesman with an offer to help. Alas, the shirt hub was looking for was not available. We discovered this fact a lot sooner than we would have without the salesperson who knew right where to look. We're both the kind of shoppers that actually like knowledgeable salespeople helping us but are usually bemoaning the lack thereof these days. Our next stop was linens. Here again things were calm. Where was everyone at 1:00 PM? Things in the linen department were so slow in fact that we had not one but two very helpful saleswomen assisting us. Hubbie's sense of humor wins salespeople over all the time even in hectic situations, as they were falling all over us...laughing with the customers is always better than dying of boredom in your job. There were some gorgeous sheets calling out to me here. Silky, high thread-count and amazingly inexpensive given the sale for this Black Friday. There was an unfortunate lack of organization to the merchandise that I have come to think of as typical in department stores, sad to say. However with all the sales help we had, there were enough of us all up to our elbows in sheets trying to find the right sizes and then the extra pillow cases I wanted. But we found it all and quite surprisingly had a bit of fun while doing so. Then these two lovely ladies were turning drawers upside down just to find us a coupon they were surprised we didn't have to begin with, for an extra something or other percentage off. They were sweethearts really and the sheets were an absolute steal. From here we roamed around the kitchenware department. We didn't need anything but hub is drawn like a moth to a flame to pots, pans, kitchen gadgets. There were a few people shopping here but no crowds and again almost immediately we were asked if we needed assistance by a salesperson. This visit to Macy's was not only painless but surprising. It reminded me of the good old days when getting help in a department store was the rule. This visit might even be the start of turning a department store loather into a lover. read more

Came here for a quick visit, but somehow forgot to pack shorts (please don't ask me how). Sharon in the juniors department was super friendly and I was able to find what I was looking for along with some other things. In attempt to exit the store we stumbled into the fragrance department. It immediately hit me that I was running low on my favorite perfume back at home and I had to get it. Janice made the buying experience AMAZING! I was with my boyfriend who is not a perfume junkie, but left with a greater understanding of scents. read more

Macy's is going downhill and it is no surprise to me that they are closing stores all over! You can never easily find an employee to help you with anything and the one in Hanover is always a hot mess and very unorganized and dirty. Low inventory on everything and also have items in the display counters that they don't even sell in the store. read more

I ordered a pearl necklace online on September 26th. I tried it on when it arrived and it was really cute! It was originally $200 but I got it at a discount price. I did not keep the receipt, as I had every intention to keep it. Well, I don't wear jewelry too often and went to actually wear it for the first time on Thanksgiving. I cut the price tag off and then went to put it on and a pearl fell off...the clasp parts were stuck together on one end and there was just string on the other end. I was wondering if I had cut it by mistake when I took the tag off but that doesn't even make sense bc that's not what it looks like...the string on one end is in a loop still...if I had cut it it would obviously not be in a loop. I'm a super weak person so that necklace is really low quality to just break like that!! I went into the Hanover store to see if they could offer to repair it or maybe they could do an exchange. I have worked in retail so I know receipts can be looked up through credit cards..I went to customer service and the man was really rude and did not seem to care one bit!! It is really frustrating to buy something that just breaks, especially an expensive necklace (even if I got it on sale). He sent me over to fine jewelry and they acted like I stole it bc I didn't have a receipt!! I had to ask that she try my credit cards to find the record that I did in fact purchase it. She did find that but she still said there was nothing she could do!! She laughed at me and told me I was like her daughter because I didn't keep receipts...again, I've worked in retail for years so I know it's easy to find a record of a purchase if you paid with a card. Where I worked, there was a 90 day return policy so to act like it was too late for something to break that I purchased two months ago seemed ridiculous. It's a nice looking (bad quality) necklace that one wouldn't wear everyday. I was hoping she could at least offer to fix it somehow, but nope. I substitute teach- I'm not made of money..I treated myself to this necklace and I didn't get to wear it once, except the first time I tried it on when it arrived. I was shopping with my husband and 15 year old son in the bedding department today to buy a new bedding set for my daughters bedroom. My son sat down on a display bed to adjust his shoe and was immediately rudely told by the salesman who had ignored us the entire time because he was chatting to "get off the bed".....needless to say his rudeness caused us to not make the purchase we came for. read more

Went in there last night and I just wanted to express how kind every single person who works there was. We chatted with about 4 associates while perusing the different sections and everyone was so kind and helpful. One nice man behind the counter (he works in men's fashion, I think his name was steve) gave me a 25% off coupon because I left mine at home. Thoughtful! read more

Do not ever shop at the Macy's Furniture Store. Bought a size double mattress and waited a week for it to be delivered. They sent a Queen Size mattress and I told the driver to just put it back on the truck, spoke with customer service and told them to cancel the order and give me a credit. They said no problem I would see credit in 2 days. To be safe I called the store and made sure they cancelled the order too. Checked my credit card a week later and not only wasn't there a credit but they had another charge for a new second mattress (that I did not order). Called store and they said the was a "ghost charge". Who every heard of a ghost charge!!!!! Store called customer service and then let me knew everything was going to be taken care of and I would get a credit for first charge and the ghost charge would disappear, because that's what ghosts do, I guess. Soooooo, just checked my card again and ghost charge has now been applied to my account and the first charge is still there. Called store AGAIN, told I now have to call a third party to be a go between the store and my credit card!!! Are you kidding me! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER shop at Macy's Furniture!
