I love J. Crew, as I am the very definition of a preppie, yuppie, etc. I live by the Preppie…read moreHandbook, and I love the fashion, values, and the mindset. Great selection. Classics and timeless. Priced just right. Plenty of parking. A very nice staff. If they do not have it in the store, then check out their website. In fact, they do have a larger selection and close-out items online. No negatives.

I am surprised by the low ratings for this J. Whenever I have stopped in, (which admittedly is not often), there is almost always someone who greets me fairly quickly and lets me know they are available to assist. On this latest visit I did have a question or two about a blazer I was looking at. The saleswoman was at the ready and was quite helpful. She let me know that even though the blazer was on sale already there was an additional 40% off. It was pricey to begin with but with both a sale price and the additional percentage off it became hard to resist...so I bought it. (I have been updating my seasonal blazer wardrobe over the past several months as I find blazers are often a great way to elevate an outfit and pull everything together.) I was also able to find a pretty gold belt. Alas, the belt was not on sale, and priced higher than I think it should have been but I think I will get a lot of use out of it so I purchased it. When I checked out the cashier was very helpful. She made sure to remind me that the blazer was now a "final sale" and I was in and out in no time flat. Pleasant and easy shopping.

REI is a Co-Op, so join, as it's a win-win for everyone…read more They have a really nice staff; the folks working there are into the outdoors. They like biking, hiking, camping, climbing and etc. they know the lingo, they know their merchandise, and they are always willing to help the customer. Hingham Derby Street Shops... well, parking is plentiful, I do tend to park in the back. Never jammed up back there. If you plan on buying anything, you will want to bring your own bag as the chain is 'bag free'. Prices are very good. Competitive with Amazon.com and better than Cabela's. I used to go to the store in Framingham when I was in metro west, also the store in Reading... I'm not sure if both are still there. Shopping since '96, Co-Op member since '12. No negatives,

They have basically anything you need for outdoors activities. I've usually shopped for hiking gear and camel backs or osprey / rei branded stuff. Also got a pair of hiking boots. I think it's cool REI is a coop brand. Member owned. They have plenty of sales going on, bicycles standard and electronic assisted, survival gear, clothing from all sorts of brands, boots and hiking gear, camping gear, lanterns, knives, paddles, water shoes, and also have deals on traded in gear. Nice experience. Love walking around and looking at stuff i probably don't need but it's a cool tool or utility purposed item.
