The store was clean, well organized, and larger than I expected. There was a spacious parking lot with plenty of free parking, which made the visit easy. There were a few employees walking around the store, but it wasn't always clear what their roles were. One associate, however, seemed to handle just about everything. He helped my husband try on his suit and shoes, made sure everything fit properly, answered our questions, and once he confirmed the fit, we were all set to go. The staff overall was decently friendly, and the visit was quick and efficient. Overall, it was an easy experience with good service, and we'd return if we needed another suit fitting or formalwear. read more

They forgot to include my shoes with my rental suit as the groom for my wedding. I had to wear a groomsman's shoe for the wedding. They did not try to make it right and you'd think they'd atleast get the grooms rental right for sure. read more

The reviews on here are old.....give this location another chance! We used a gray-rainy-soccer-games-cancelled-Saturday to stop in for a first suit for our graduating high school senior. Within minutes of us arriving and finding our way into the suit section, Travis came over and made it happen for us. He was easygoing, experienced and helpful, especially since we had NO CLUE. Travis gave great insights, measured then remeasured our boy (and all of his gym muscles) and helped with finding the perfect suit. It is just beautiful! He also spent time with us adding a belt, shoes, socks, and shirts around the BEST tie for a very cool ensemble. Who knew that socks match pants and shoes match belts??? Throughout it all, Travis was patient and rolled with our many unfiltered jokes. Men's Wearhouse felt like a Pretty Woman boutique but for guys. Go Travis or go home. read more

Forgot to leave this MW location a review. Years ago I made a return there for some shoes I purchased. The sales reps/cashier people involved made it the most uncomfortable, awkward experience ever. It was like I was some kind of criminal. I've never been back to this location and I tell people to avoid it at all costs. The Braintree location I've had no issues with. As an alternative, the Milton's in the South Shore Plaza is great too. read more

Came here with my husband, with no appointment. We were greeted promptly by Arthur, a lovely gentleman who was more than happy to help us. We were in town from Las Vegas finding a suit for my husband for my mother-in-law's funeral service. He was incredibly understanding of our time frame and very sympathetic. He was more than happy to lead us in the right direction - my husband is a very tall man and often difficult to clothe. We had very little issue. Arthur was also able to find a suit that was part of a buy-one-get-the-second-suit-for-a-discount deal. So he was able to buy two suits for around the same price he'd figured he'd pay for one. In just about one hour, we had two suits, shoes, belts, ties, and shirts pinned and ready for tailoring, and were checking out. He was also able to guarantee that the suits would be ready for pickup by Friday evening - just two days after our visit. It was a very pleasant and helpful experience, given that the both of us were a bit preoccupied emotionally. Cannot express how lovely Arthur was throughout the experience. Not sure what the negative reviews are about, ours was as pleasant as could be in our situation. read more

As soon as I enter the store, I'm greeted with: "Hi! Welcome to Mens' Warehouse! I can measure you to find what you need!" 1. Who said I needed your help to find anything? 2. Who said I didn't know my measurements? 3. Who asked you to measure me? 4. Why are you grinning like an idiot? Already from the get-go, I became guarded and wary. I don't really care for MW much, as I find their selection for old fat men. I may be fat, but old? Well, hopefully not quite yet. Anyway, the designs seem outdated and a bit boring. Also, in general, I find their sales reps annoying in a myriad of ways. Unless you have to rent a tux, I'd steer clear. You won't necessarily like the way you look. read more

Wow they have the personalty of mops here. Well that was todays experience. Last week when we came here the salesperson said completely inappropriate things to my husband such as calling him curvy and also mature. He said do you know what I mean by mature, he said overweight. We were getting a suit tailored that we just bought in NY mens warehouse (where we had awesome service). As a matter of fact before we purchased the suit in NY I called Hanover to see if we could return items purchased in NY and the person who picked up the phone gave a smart ass comment saying, if ypu love what you bought why would you return it. What an ass Hanover employees are. Id like to see how they like to be treated when one of their parents dies. read more

My family on the east coast had my son this summer and got his measurements done at this location to send to the Encinitas, CA location for us to pick up so we could have the suit ready for my mother's wedding this past weekend. So according to my understanding, they were not only rude but CHARGED my relative 20$ just to take measurements. I've never heard of charging for such a thing but apparently they do. On top of it, my sons pants were FAR too short. They weren't just off by an inch, it was approx 3 inches. So my son had to wear what looked like high waters to my mothers wedding as a ring bearer. the fact they couldn't even get it right is already very frustrating, but the fact it was paid for on top of it makes it that much more infuriating. You had one job guys. #fail In the end, we got her 20$ back but now we have to cut out the bottoms of any pictures my son was in because of his ridiculously short pants. Awesome. read more

Made an appointment and arrived only to stand there for 25 minutes with no one willing to help us or acknowledge us. I finally asked for help after being ignored and let them know I had an appointment for this time, and they said "we will get to you when we get to you". Rude staff, mainly the older guy who works there and has been there forever. He was extremely unfriendly. They seemed understaffed which I understand can be challenging, but if I made an appointment, don't blow me off. We'll use another company for our wedding party. read more

I've always been a happy and loyal Jos A Banks customer, but was in Hanover during the insane Christmas shopping frenzy, didn't want to drive to Derby Street and noticed Men's Warehouse/Hanover across the street. I brought my new tuxedo in for tailoring and was greeted by Ross Waldron, the Assistant Manager. He was friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming and very helpful with a tuxedo shirt and other things I needed. The prices and quality are excellent also. I felt totally comfortable and he helped me find everything I needed. The tailor came out to measure my tuxedo and promised to have it ready by 12/27 and it's already tailored. Sales men are nice but stay away from Men's Warehouse! Their corporate driven sales predatory practices are meant to pump up store sales regardless of the customers budget. Go somewhere else, a private tailor for example. You will even save money. I'm not the only one that has had bad experiences at MW. My brother did as well with him self and his teenage boys. A neighbor when renting a tux and my teenage son renting a tux as well. My son had gone to the store for his Jr Prom tux and MW saw him coming. Bled him for a prom tux for $280 for one night!!! I had him go somewhere else and got the same tux for $130. Then I had him cancel the order but they charged him $20 to do that. 3 hours after he placed the order. What a scam MW is. Praying on a minors inexperience is just wrong. That made me more angry then the crap suit I got from them for myself two years earlier. Just do yourself a favor and stay away from men's warehouse. I was very impressed with the customer service at this location as soon as I walked in everything ran smoothly. I ended up spending close to 2k on 4 different suits and that was in January 2013. Well not more than a year later and the pants are completely falling apart the seams. And I don't mean just one pair, almost every pair the seams are literally falling apart and I only have these clothes dry cleaned as well. I do not think that I will be spending any more money at any Mens Warehouses do to the quality not being where it should be. We have 13 men buying suits from MW and god forbid you go to a different location other than theirs (Hanover) to buy or pick up something in the package we put together for our guys. The salesmen there have been nothing but rude and condescending since we started the process back in February. This place defines rude. If you want to feel like the salesperson does not care about you, this is the place to go. They tried to rip me off of $50 on an exchange. Then when I questioned it, the associate called the manager over and said right in front of me "This gentleman does not understand how this works." Once I explained that it was an exchange and nothing more the manager understood what was happening and pretty much threw my receipt at me when the transaction was complete. I went into the Hanover location with my wife and son to get him some items for an upcoming wedding. We went to the store in Quincy for the Tuxes, so we had previous business with this company. Quincy was nice, but the service was nowhere near the what we received from our salesperson Ross. Ross was great he picked out several outfits for my son to choose from, including shoes. I also had Ross help me with a few outfits, and I ended up vary happy with him, he is a great salesperson. I suggest when you go into the Hanover location you ask for him, you will not be disappointed. read more

He seemed to take some joy in telling us he would not give us his birthday discount either. Took my son for tuxedo rental. Asked at the big inning if I could use a $40 off coupon. Yes, no problem. At the end, it was going to be $185. Did you apply my coupon? No, I'll do that now. Price changed to $175. But it's a $40 off coupon? We already have you $10 off for enrolling in our perfect fit rewards. Okay, so where's the other $20 off? Went there for a buy one/get one half off jackets in the fall. Didn't get that discount either. Sorry I gave them a second chance. Won't be back. read more

I had an absolutely terrible experience when trying to buy a new suit for my new job. I was helped by an older gentleman named Joseph, who was very condescending and offered little help. He only showed me one suit in the price I wanted, and preceded to show me several that were twice as expensive as my price range. The suit's I tried on clearly did not fit well, yet he said he wouldn't have anything done by the tailors. I was also addressed as "Bud" and "Buddy" which was extremely unprofessional. I highly recommend starting your suit search at Milton's, which has exceptional customer service and much better pricing for quality suits. I walked into Mens Wearhouse having the intention of looking at the selection and likely going to Joseph A Bank afterwards to compare. However, when the assistant manager Ross came over to my father and me, our plans changed. He was incredibly knowledgable, patient, and friendly. When it comes to salesmen Ross was second to none. He answered all of our questions and never made us feel rushed in any way despite a fairly busy day for the store. It truly was as if we were the only customers there. I ended up with a full suit, sports coat and pants, ties and a couple of dress shirts. Ross has locked up our business for the foreseeable future and I would highly recommend friends and family to go there and ask for him. In fact, I made a yelp account just to give him a review. I would have given this place a 0 rating but it was not offered. Stay away from this place at all costs, they will rip you off. Service the first time I went there was great 4 years ago, got what I wanted and liked it along with help. I don't know what has happen here but the service is the worst I have ever seen, maybe new management. If that's the case they should change hands again. The policy on Tux rentals is crazy, have to return it the next day or 20 bucks added on, the next day really. Try to get a refund that's another ordeal. As a smaller guy, this was my first time buying a suit. I was greeted quickly and was given friendly service. Unfortunately the fit was terrible. I lost trust in the salesperson since he measured me and was saying the clothes fit well and looks great when they were too large for me. The smallest suit ended up too big and after being tailored, it was boxy and unflattering. The sleeve were too long and the pants and jacket was still loose. They really seem to only care about the sales since they kept suggesting more clothes and saying that they will fit perfectly since he measured me. They did not. In the end it was too late to return the suit since it was already tailored but I returned the rest of the clothing. The shoes, socks, and belt was nice so I kept those. read more

Rude! Just left without purchasing anything. after wandering around finally a salesperson asked if I needed help. I said I was looking for something in aquamarine. He said "nope we don't have that". Being desperate and short in time I looked around for myself. Found a shirt and when I went to buy it guess who was there to get the commission? You guessed it the "nope" guy. I said I preferred he not use his number because he didn't help me. He blew up, all the customers and the other sales people had shocked expressions. The manager proceeded to say that this guy was a good sales person. If that's what they consider good no wonder all the reviews here comment on their rudeness here. We went to MW to purchase a suite for my father for my wedding. My dad is a retired janitor, who has never owned a suite in his life but was insistent he wanted to purchase one for this occasion. The salesman was incredibly helpful and patient with us, and made sure to show us the suites on sale/Clearance knowing the suite wouldn't get much wear. Everything was going great until it was time for checkout. I requested to purchase the shirt and tie separately as a gift for my father and the salesman simply asked a coworker (who I am assuming was the manger on duty) if he could split the sale or if he had to ring it in twice. A harmless question. The manager was extremely put off, arrogant, and annoyed. In his slight defense he was looking up something for a customer that had just walked in, but his attitude and demeanor immediately soured everyone around us. After speaking to his employee and indirectly to us in an extremely condescending manner, he returned to his customer with a fake apologetic tone "I'm so sorry about that." However, once he found their name in the system, he pointed to a different employee (who was already helping a couple) and said "he'll help you in a minute" and walked off. Obviously being polite and attentive to customers who are spending hundreds of dollars is not important to management at this store. It is a shame because all of the salesmen I've worked with have been great. read more

we ordered my husbands tux for my son's wedding - when I brought the tux home so many things wrong - the pants were way too short inseam measured 28 he has a 32 inseam - the Jacket was too short in the sleeves! So I had to take it back and have the items fixed(he works full-time hard for him to go and try on when you pick up!) - IWe didnt try on the shirt - until the day of the wedding - Big mistake that was too small in the sleeves also! - These people do this as their job!!!!??? You measure people - why can you not do it the right way! We will never deal with Men's wearhouse again - from what I heard some of the groomsmen had a lot of bad issues also!!
