The color palette seemed to rely heavily on pastels which are not colors I typically wear. So J. Jill for the most part fell off my radar. Fast forward to several months ago when I decided to go back in for a look around. I was pleasantly surprised to find a number of adorable things many of which were in colors I do like and wear. On that one visit I was able to select quite a number of pieces that have since become staples in my daily wardrobe. The quality of the merchandise is good and the sizing and fit are on point and for me have not needed altering. One of my favorite of these recent pieces is a pencil skirt that I liked so much I returned to buy it in another color. Paired, as one example, with one of the tunics that J. Jill is known for, makes for a comfortable yet stylish outfit for work. Many of the items can be dressed up or down and I appreciate this convenience and versatility. The sales help at this Hingham store is phenomenal....I've met some wonderful saleswomen here who have gone out of their way to be helpful and kind. Prices are reasonable with 5% off your bill when using the J. Jill credit card and 10% off during your entire birthday month. I get loads of email offers too with hard too resist deals. J. Jill is now back in my shopping rotation.

One was named Linda, which I overheard her tell another customer. I was never greeted or asked IF I needed help. She addressed everyone else, but conveniently ignored me. I found it very rude! When I asked the other associate about petite clothing, she seemed put out since she was hanging other merchandise. What ever happened to the customer comes first? Today, I visited the Lane Bryant store in Braintree, Massachusetts, and had one of the worst customer service experiences. There were two employees behind the register, one of whom appeared to be a manager. Neither employee acknowledged my presence, despite the fact that I--and at one point another customer--were the only people in the store. I stood in line for a noticeable amount of time while the manager continued working on something else rather than assisting me. At no point did she acknowledge me, make eye contact, or offer even a simple statement such as "someone will be with you shortly." The lack of basic courtesy and professionalism was disappointing and came across as both disrespectful and dismissive. I have been a loyal Lane Bryant customer for several years, but after this experience, I will not be returning.

There were also lots of racks that had signs advertising 40% off so I would definitely say you could easily find some good deals here. There was another customer in the store who was telling my friend and me that she buys from there a lot and the clothes are long-lasting which tells me that the stuff here is of good quality. They had some accessories as well such as jewelry. I had already spent a bit more than I had planned to at another store in the mall so I actually didn't end up buying anything here but it was very fun to look around and I did see a few tops that I liked. I would definitely like to come back here next time I'm in the mall and next time hit this place first!

They will look at all the other stores inventory and tell you if another store has it. They will tell you when the next shipment of coming in. Just super helpful when you ask a simple question. Either way, with the new renovation, and the seemingly new set of staff, I'm confident that three stars suits this store well. While not the newest, this store was renovated recently and is sometimes a goldmine for a specific (and popular) sneaker or shoe, due to their location in the deserted Westgate Mall. On both occasions I have made special trips into this mall just to come here and just a particular pair of shoes they had in stock in my size that none of the other Famous Footwear locations had. Around the summertime they normally have sandals, and if you shop smart, they nearly always have coupons available to use (and when I called here recently and asked if they would accept a coupon that clearly said on it that it was only eligible at the new Braintree store, they had no issue accepting it here). I think I tried on 50+ pieces over the course of 3-4 hours (I know... I'm a little crazy, and I shop like it's an Olympic sport ), and Diana was incredible from beginning to end. She gave honest feedback, suggested perfect pieces to pair with tops and bottoms I liked, and patiently ran back and forth countless times to grab different sizes and colors. She was also incredibly organized, keeping track of what I was buying in-store versus what would be shipped to my home, which made the whole process so much easier. Toward the end, after I'd gone through everything I picked myself, I asked Diana to surprise me with items she thought I'd love. She absolutely nailed it. Every piece she brought matched my style perfectly. She somehow understood exactly what I was looking for--even when I couldn't put it into words. Shopping is usually stressful for me because I'm not very confident when it comes to fashion, but Diana made the experience genuinely fun and effortless. I walked out of the store much poorer , but also incredibly relieved and excited because I finally have a wardrobe full of pieces that make me feel confident. I usually get overwhelmed with looking at walls of product and give up. I have a lot up top that needs support, it's nice to find something that does that job. Definitely more tight and supportive than bras I've bought in the past. I have to admit though, I am usually pulling the bra off as soon as I get in the car to go home. It gets a bit uncomfortable after a full day. But hey, that's how it goes. I'd like to visit again to see if they have any recommendations for something supportive but a bit more bearable for longer days. Still, I'm happy I tried this place.
