I must preface my review with the fact that I am a huge fan of Macy's. Given, however, that I'm utterly obsessed with shoes, I find that their shoe department is quite lacking, and unremarkable. Their brand-name apparel selection is likewise limited, in comparison to other Macy's locations! I went to Macy's a couple of months ago knowing I needed to buy some sort of jewelry as a gift. I am pretty inexperienced when it comes to this so I asked the representatives in the Jewelry/Watch department for help. Deby Wilkin specifically guided me to the perfect set of sapphire earrings and a necklace - and they were even on sale! This made my experience much better than I presumed it would be and I will definitely turn to Macy's if ever in a similar situation. read more

Clearly they are eager to go home. They turn off all the light 5 minutes prior to scheduled closing, even when people are in the fitting rooms. I asked 2 employees if this is normal and they said yes, it's just how they do it. Not only is this VERY poor customer service and it's most certainly losing them business, but it's also DANGEROUS. Honestly, every time I come in here I get the worst customer service. I am never greeted upon enterance, I have always had to approach employees myself if I want any kind of service and then I am teated as though I'm an inconvenience and waste of their time. They are only pleasant when you purchase but, if you have a return, be prepared for the sales reps to be rude. I needed to return a couple of items I ordered online because they didn't fit. This Macy's almost always has what I need. It's a large store with a rather extensive home section. Some Macy's locations do not offer a furniture or mattress department, but this location does. A bit pricier than I'm willing to spend, but if you are in the chips and like the contemporary modern look then this might be the store for you. I always shop here for my Estee Lauder products. Sometimes it's hard to find someone to assist you at the counter, so in that regard there could be some improvement. Of all the Macy's locations in Colorado, this is my favorite store. read more

Worst customer service ever. The woman in the men's shoe department said a particular shoe wasn't in stock so we asked her to call the store in Colorado Springs. She said she didn't have access to their inventory system but would be glad to place an order for free home delivery instead. So I called the Chapel Hills Store in Colorado Springs and the salesperson checked the inventory system, which actually indicated that the Park Meadows Macy's had the pair in the size we needed! Truth was that the Park Meadows salesperson was working either under commission or under a quota, so locating a pair of shoes for a customer elsewhere wouldn't have benefited either the commission or her quota. I took exception to this and asked another woman in the men's department for the store manager. The men's department manager showed up, listened to our experience, then brushed everything off. No sign of the store manager whatsoever. We used to shop at the Macy's in Colorado Springs way back when they were May D&f, and later when they were Foley's. The quality of their products and customer service have dropped severely. I'll just shop at Nordstrom from here on out. Their customer service philosophy is clearly better than Macy's, hands down; salespeople at Nordstrom actually treat their customers as if they were valued, and not just as another sale. read more

My husband and I just bought a Nespresso machine there. They had the guy there providing a demo who made us a latte. The cashier ordered the red one and it will be shipped directly to our home. I didn't want the red one but my husband insisted. I'm more the traditional type. Anyway, there was a little trouble selecting the right one since we wanted the combo deal but they got it all figured out. The best part was the combo was a great deal with $100 worth of free coffee pods and half off on the milk frother thingy. And we saved with a 15% off coupon. Thanks Macy's read more

Today I went in to exchange a pair of shoes that my husband got for Christmas. I went into the men's shoe department and no one was there to help me, So I waited for about 10 minutes to see if anyone would come out but no one did so I walked over to the ladies shoe department and asked if one of the people could help me there. The sales associate said that she could not help me and that there should be someone over there, I then replied that there isn't someone over there and she said sorry I just can't help you. So I said should I just stand over there and wait for someone to come by? And she replied yes. So I walked back over and waited for about five more minutes and no one came. I then decided to just return the shoes and skip exchanging them. While I was there to return them, I said to the cashier that It was a shame that I had to return them because I really wanted to exchange them, but she did not care one bit. Lost a $1,700 sale. My husband and I have been looking for the right couch for 3 years. 3 years! And we finally found it. After looking at every furniture store in 20 miles we arrived at Macy's and the sectional I loved from the website was the first display! At $1,199 it was considerably more expensive than we had planned on paying, but the quality and style were EXACTLY what we wanted. We spoke to Tanya and told her we were very interested but had to sleep on it. They very next day, today, we went in to test the couch again and make our purchase. When we told her we were ready to buy she informed us that she hadn't checked their stock and it would be out of stock until late March. I was understandably disappointed and she laughed about our needing 'Instant Gratification'. There was no attempt to save the sale. There was no offer of any kind to ease the fact we would be waiting another MONTH for delivery on something she had gone out of her way to sell us. No showing us other models that were of similar quality and type. The moment she realized we were NOT going to have an $1,199 couch with tax, with $264 warranty and $161 delivery (though we live less than 3 miles from the store) she was done. And so are we. There is no chance I will spend $20 here let alone make any major purchases. Tanya, thank you for saving us so much money on a couch. We will surely pay less at any of your competitors. read more

I came in to purchase a few Clinique makeup products but could only see one employee in the Cosmetics Dept working behind the Lancome station. It was a bit of a wait as other customers were asking questions before selecting and purchasing products. Deanna was so nice, kind and pleasant even though it was almost closing time at the store on 9/25/17 and several more customers were waiting to purchase items even after she finished helping me. I can't imagine how stressful this had to be for one employee working multiple product stations, showing customers various products and patiently answering all their questions while others are waiting for their turn also. I was in Macy's getting a $200 gift card in the Mens/Womens Cologne and Perfume Department. Never in my life have I ever felt so pushed to buy "on the spot" or "TODAY" in a department store then at Macy's. I had 1 associate processing the gift card while spraying perfume samples at me. 2 others trying to sell me men's cologne at their "sale" price of $149 for a Gucci package of cologne. I asked for samples and they laughed at me like I was a cheap skate because I wouldn't help them with their quota and buy product on the spot. Forget I dropped $200 in their department store on a gift card, they only care if you buy the product because that's how they get compensated. Also when a 50 or 60 something year old lady calls perfume "SEXY" over and over again, it has the opposite effect (on me at least), and now the perfume to me is anything but sexy. So overall, I walked out of Macy's completely frustrated that I dropped $200 because it wasn't appreciated, and I felt I was talked down to by their very PUSHY saleswomen who only care about selling and pushing product then their customers. I'm surprised they work at Macy's vs. selling time shares. read more

This is for the Park Meadows Store. I really like the brand but I hate the fact that they dont have enought people at the registers or floor. You need to roam around the store looking for help. In addition the casheirs don't put order when you have people cut in line. I waited for over 25 minutes in line and this lady cut in and when i said somerhing the register lady did absolutely nothing. In addition the store is looking rather messy and in ocassion no better than Ross. In the womens shoe dept I saw noone in the floor and I asked the lady at the register if they had anyone else. She said she was busy and no and then asked rather rudely " what do you want " I had two pairs in my hand and she snatched them off my hand and said we'll get back to you. Worst experience I have ever had in any retailer. If I could rate it less than one star I absolutely would. I went in with a return after ten minutes of not being able to find a sales associate I looked through their sales racks. I found an item that I was going to exchange my return for. Again I walked three circles around the second level looking for a sales associate. I even had two who completely ignored me when I asked for help. I then proceeded to the first floor to see if there were more employees that could assist me. I found an woman whom I asked if she was an employee she stated "Excuse me" in about the most rude tone you can imagine. I again asked her if she worked there and she literally stated, "what do you want!" I stated that I needed to do an exchange to which she responded by saying "so what do you need." Well I need you to return this item and sell me this item. Finally she walked me to the cash wrap to check me out. What should have been a five, maybe ten minute trip took me forty minutes. This wasn't just poor service this was down right insolence. I will never step foot into a Macy's again and I would suggest for those of you reading this to stay out of there unless you enjoy being treated like crap. Just called Macy's Park Meadows TWICE. They actually picked up the phone, but told me to hold for a minute. I could hear them assisting customers, however I think some came up AFTER I called. ELEVEN minutes later I decided to hang up and call back. They did answer again, got the "hold on for a minute". Another ELEVEN minutes I decided to hang up again. Your customers on the phone OR online are just as important as those in your stores. You need to figure out how to balance both. read more

Typically, I don't shop at Macy's, however my MIL gives me gift cards here and they had a sale on Free People. I did the order online and pick up in store, waited for 10-20 minutes for someone to come to the desk, that I was told to go to for online pick ups, a man and woman in the sunglasses area saw me standing there and never offered to call someone or asked if I had be helped, secondly, a group of guys went and asked if he could check them out: his response "oh any other day I could but not today" and directed them to where I was standing. Finally, I decided to go to another sales counter that actually had someone there, this gentleman was very nice and helpful. After picking up my online order, I went upstairs to the home area, waiting in line while the lady was helping a young man in front of me return a bag, she said she would be with me in a minute, then asked what i needed, I asked if they carried a certain product for all clad pots and pans, her response was No we don't in a very rude tone. This visit clarified why I do not shop at Macy's. read more

Macy's is not the best place to shop for many reasons. Lack of selection, for one. Also, I've paid off my Macy's credit card twice and they try to charge me an extra $2.50 each time. When asked, "It's a fee." It isn't interest because the account has been paid off. Both times they've removed the fee after I've questioned them, but I no longer shop at Macy's because of that issue. read more
