Equally he could not measure a coat properly. I guess he went on break during my experience too and a different man took care of me. This man atleast knew how to take measurements for my coat. Also whomever does the alterations needs to be more careful with items because they come back incredibly wrinkled. I had to bring my new coat to the dry cleaner. In general though the staff seemed bothered with my inquiries. The store selection is nice. I'll be going to a different location next time.

Before making the trip to Fairfield we checked the online return policy to make sure we would receive a refund if an exchange wasn't possible. The policy clearly confirms that if an exchange is not possible, a refund will be issued. Upon arrival, she was told that only store credit could be received and that they would not get anymore Snap-Ts in stock to exchange. They were also unaware of the online return policy despite my wife's insistence to look. They denied any refund and while they won the battle and retained the 100 dollars from my Snap-T, they will not receive anymore business from us. FYI, Patagonia in Westport gladly exchanged Island Outfitters' Snap-T. Stick to the larger retailers like REI and Patagonia. Better prices and far better service.
