AVOID Macy's at Eastridge Mall at all costs! Today, my daughter and I were treated like trash by the employees when we tried to return a Chanel eyeshadow and Lancôme mascara. The staff seemed to assume we were trying to scam them, handling the products like they were toxic and questioning us aggressively. The whole experience was condescending, rude, and completely unprofessional. If you value your sanity, take your business (and returns) elsewhere. Don't recommend at all!!!!!!!!!!! I felt I was being followed today. This white worker at the men's cologne section was staring at me so I stared back cause why are you staring at just me??? Then I left and I was just being followed. I definitely won't be coming back at all this place is disgusting the workers are terrible. Alarms going off every second !!! This review is base on the furniture department only! We were looking for a new bed frame and mattress, While we were looking, one of the staff name Yasmine helped us. She was very friendly, helpful, and a joker too lol. She explained and recommended any brands and comfort that would fit our needs. We had many questions which she was able to answer with good knowledge. Throughout the whole process, we made our decision. She scheduled our shipment date and let us know what to expect. This review is only for my pick up experience at this store. Have been here for curbside pickup a couple times. Each time it takes about 40-45 mins to receive the order. This time, after waiting for 30 mins in my car, I went inside to pick up the order in-store instead. The pickup counter was closed and the staff just kept making me go to different counters. I came in the other day to look for dress shoes for my son. The shoe department downstairs was only adult shoes. So I went up to second floor, browsed around the new spruced-up Toys R Us displays into the Children's department. No kids shoes? I walk to a young Gen Z employee to ask where kids' shoes are... she replied, "Ummm... usually the kids stuff is in that area, so if you don't see any, I guess we don't have kids shoes." I reluctantly accepted her response, and questioned why the heck Macy's doesn't carry kids' shoes! I continue to browse to the backside of the second floor corner. And low and behold... kids' shoes! Scattered on scattered shelves. They had a sad selection of kids' shoes, pretty unorganized and not helpful. Like I said, the whole experience was depressing. Just an additional note, to the employers of Gen-z-ers, please help your staff understand the importance of customer service and being acclimated with the store in which they work, especially in retail! The perfume department workers are not kind. Me and my partner wanted to look into some scents that just came out and when we asked to look for the dolce and Gabana scent and after she showed us the scent on the testing rack she took it and walked away before we could sample it. Just purchase as a guest. Pick-is was super smooth! 1. Go in from the front entrance (not from inside the mall). You see all the women's fragrances. 2. Stop the urge to check out the fragrances. Remember you are there to pick up. 3. Turn right and go to the end to the pick-up area. 4. Get in line. If you go in the evening, there is no line. 5. Four stars simply for the sales associate Kathy. I encountered her on the 2nd floor [men's department]. I had previously made a purchase downstairs on behalf of someone else and apparently made the wrong buy. Luckily for me, I had not left Macy's due to browsing and attempting to get some holiday shopping out of the way. Being that I was currently on the 2nd floor and still technically in Macy's, I didn't think it would be too difficult to fix my initial purchase. I walked around for a bit until I found Kathy at the registers. After explaining to her about my boo-boo, she kindly told me she would refund my purchase and ring everything back up with my slight adjustment. Fast Forward: what I thought would be a quick fix turned out to be a bit of a headache. Not once did Kathy seem annoyed or come off rude even as a line began to form behind me. This Macy is close to home but their customer service is horrible. My wife and I called to ask about their return policy and can't even get hold of a manager to talk to them. We got transferred to different departments and they didn't answer. Beside this the store is big with 3 stories. The first floor are the woman clothes, jewelry, purses, makeup, and perfume. Second floor have mens clothes, kids clothes, cologne, electronics, and luggages. On the third floor is where you can find housewares and furniture. read more

Wow, I revisited this store for the first time in about two years and it's really been turned around! They reopened part of the second floor that was previously closed off and added a Macys Backstage. The store was organized (not perfect, but no Macys is), and the registers have been replaced with centralized checkout areas on each floor, and each of them had someone working at them. Part of the store even had new carpeting. I'm super impressed with the turnaround this store seems to have had! read more

No Help to Be Found Finding assistance in any large department store can be a daunting prospect, so when one finds themselves in a store spending dozens of minutes searching in vain for help, the experience isn't easily forgotten. I accompanied my GF here to this Macy's in Eastridge just a few weeks ago. She knew exactly what she wanted to buy: a specific bottle of high-end makeup. The spot on the shelf was empty, and she was ready to leave at this point, but in my naivety I convinced her to wait around in the chance there might be a bottle in the locked cabinet beneath the display. So, I set off to flag down some assistance, darting here and there like a steel ball in a pinball machine. My astonishment grew exponentially with every minute that ticked by and not finding ANYONE working in the department. After a consorted effort, I almost broke my ankles to follow an employee speed-walking though the makeup section. I was so relieved and asked her for help looking for a bottle in the cabinet. "Oh, I'm sorry hon. I don't work in this area." ... Needless to say, this was the proverbial camel-abusing straw. We resigned to give up at this point and I offered my apologies to my GF for wasting our time when she had suggested we leave to begin with. After a few quick cursory glances over a couple adjacent displays, we made to exit the department. Just then, like a black t-shirt clad angel, the speed-walking girl from before returned, saying: "I don't work over here, but let's see if we can find what you need together." I wish I noted her name because she deserves praise. Unfortunately, the cover-up we wanted was all sold out! Haha! It figures. This was like salt on the wound. Overdue review! This review is for the Estee Lauder department. I had the pleasure of getting assistance from Deja a few months ago. She was relatively new at the time of my visit so she was getting some help from another associate Kate when I needed help. They were super helpful with helping me choose the right shade for my Double Wear Foundation. They were also extremely patient as I compared different shades on myself with indoor and outdoor lighting. Kate also recently did a webinar on how to choose the right shade based on the undertone of your skin so she was showing me the link. They never made me feel rushed and it was such a fun and pleasant experience! read more

Worst customer service . The cosmetics salesman in the Estée Lauder booth was too rude. When they couldn't resolve the transaction I asked to speak to the manager in Macy's. One of the salesgirls pretended to be a manager in a pompous way. While another lady went upstairs to talk to the manager at my request. It just depends who you get and what type of mood their in that day! I am giving my review for the nice sales person who helped me get the best bargain during this Father's Day weekend. I was able to use up all of my gift cards that had been sitting in the drawers for I don't know how long and got most of my purchases at this store with up to 85% off regular price. I can't complain - so I am a happy camper. I am sorry that I did not get his name but he worked at the shoe department and I was also able to checkout other things at his same register. Ighhhh their return lines are the worst!!!! Today I waited well over 30 minutes in a very long, horrifically slow line just to return something. They completely ignored the pick up line because they expected the far right counter to do it. But the lady there was slow as a damn snail. A man complained about it after being ignored twice. I felt bad for him, really. As a matter of fact, the only person that was doing a good job was the only man behind the register. There were four other, young women who were soooo slow! Two of them hung around the far left register and just stood there watching the employees do the work. Neither of them did anything to help speed up the process. The line was 7 people long in the returns line, and 5 people picking up orders. Valley Fair was much faster than these idiots. Next time I'll return my stuff elsewhere unless I can get here as soon as the store opens. But Eastridge is far and I only come here when absolutely necessary. Macy's is so understaffed and the associates so lazy. The women in the customer service counter looked like they didn't even want to be there. The store was an absolute disaster and nearly always is. It looks like it's been looted. Dressing rooms are unattended and each have piles of tried-on clothes inside. Also all the carpets are disgustingly grimy. Such a trashy store, I never want to go in there again. Worst Customer Service by this lady working in Men's Cologne section @ Eastridge Mall! I came in asking specifically for something I wanted to purchase and she comes out with all these bottles and gets offended because I tell her I don't like anything she's showing me. Then she goes on questioning me if I don't trust her 20 years of experience in the field. Quite honestly I don't give a damn if you own the company, you don't push people to buy something they don't want and you don't question their preference. This lady is the reason why Sales would go down, she might bring in some good numbers but she's definitely not someone I would like to buy something from. As I explained what I wanted, she rolled her eyes and walked away to help someone else. Very unprofessional but she did me a favor!! I left without purchasing what I wanted. Shopping anywhere on Wednesday, December 23rd around 1pm is probably horrible and hectic. I was trying to get a quick gift and figured Macy's would be an easy stop. This location reminds me of some of the smaller Macy's I've been to. Not a huge variety in terms of selection. But in a pinch, it'll probably do. It's not very organized and clean, but I wasn't sure if it's always like this or if it was due to all the Holiday shopping. After looking around for a bit, I found a gift on the 2nd floor in the men's department. When going to the nearby register, I see a sign saying it's broken and to go find another one. Unfortunately, the next avail register had a super long line! I had no choice but to wait. Given it was the holidays, I wish they had more open registers. The wait wasn't too bad, but getting a receipt proved to be a challenge. I'm set up to have receipts emailed to me at Macy's since I shop there all the time for myself. This time I was getting a gift and wanted a gift receipt. Not sure if the cashier forgot to note a gift receipt before she finished my transaction, but when she went back to try and print me one, she realized she couldn't without the actual receipt. Wtf?! There's no workaround? She said if my friend wanted to exchange the item, there's a Macy's return sticker on the tag, so there should be no problem. Lesson learned. If you want a gift receipt, Macy's does not want you to be green. Don't get receipts emailed to you as you need a physical receipt to get a gift receipt. Sounds like stupid logic to me. read more

My boyfriend & I came here to get new dress shirts & pants. The workers here suck, customer service sucks. I can't tell if this place is understaffed or something because I literally don't see any employees anywhere when you need assistance. but anyways the huge issue for me was when my boyfriend was trying on clothes, I had 3 employees walk past me (3 different times) saying nothing about going to the dressing room. I was mostly sitting outside on the bench waiting for him to call me in. The dressing rooms were literally empty & I would see an employee go in there to use her phone. Then an Asian employee comes in and told me I can't be at the dressing room (i wasn't even inside of the dressing room, but outside of it) because it's the mens dressing room. There aren't any signs stating that it's a mens dressing room. But I agreed and walked out, then she starting talking in trash about me to her coworker in Vietnamese. There was literally no issue till she starting saying stuff about me, in a different language as if i wouldn't understand. It infuriated me when I told her I couldn't understand her and she looked shocked saying "oh you can speak viet too?" She knew she was in the wrong for talking about me with her coworker thinking I wouldn't understand. She was trying to speak to me in viet and belittle me, pointing her finger at me? Like what the hell? She wouldn't tell me her name or if she worked there but she was grabbing clothes on the hanger outside the mens dressing room. Service here sucks, employees treat customer with very little respect. Also trying to get rung up to check out items took so long. Employees literally don't do anything here, my boyfriend and I stood in line for over 10 minutes, then the employee told us the other check out station was opened as the lines got longer and longer... she should've told us sooner LOL. read more

I went into Macy's today because I had a $75 dollar gift card & figured I needed to use it sooner or later. I walked around for a while & couldn't find anything I wanted to purchase... Their inventory is very limited when it comes to shoes, fragrances, and accessories. It was difficult to even find anything worth buying. Their inventory is not up to date & they can't guarantee anything. I asked about a pair of shoes they didn't carry in their size and was told 1 at other stores basically means 0 because they don't update the database for 3 or 4 days. I also asked about t3 rollers for my hair which is in their inventory but not to be found anywhere. Their customer service wasn't the best either. The way the sales person found me was to shout size 5! around the store.. I was asking about fragrances and tried some samples, the worker seemed reluctant to help and as I gave the sales person the fragrance sample back she just threw it behind her back.. which I found extremely unprofessional. Not all their perfumes are left out for samples either, you have to specifically ask for some left behind the counter. I also went over to the sunglass hut area to ask a woman about the purses since it was nearby and was told "sorry I just work for sunglass hut" & I explained I actually had a question about some raybans, and she goes onto her computer which looks like shes looking. I'm standing there waiting.. and then I see her grab her phone and just text... irritated I just walk away. There needs to be some better management here. I ended up going home with a Lancome summer set, which is missing a eye shadow... so make sure you check your purchases before you leave the store. I just went back to go return it, and was lucky enough to get the last set. As I went into the store to ask an associate at one of the cosmetics counters where I would go for this issue... she was texting on her phone. Typical Macy's. read more

Was standing at checkout at Macy's backstage area and there was a lot of workers there to help but they were all just talking. They saw me but just ignored me and went on talking. They could of directed me elsewhere but they all continued talking like I was not there. I wasted like 10 minutes waiting for nothing. Maggie was very sweet and helpful. I like how she made it her mission to find me exactly what matched my skin for a foundation and listened to my opinion. She gave me a sample that should last me a few days so that I can see if I really like it before buying it. The only negative thing I noticed, is that her coworkers seemed like they couldn't care less about the other customers. One of the workers even walked straight up to two ladies and grabbed her cell phone off of the dock and walked away, never saying a word to the customers. It was pretty sad...
