I was once very impressed with this Macy's. I was a frequent visitor years ago. Back then the store was grand, well organized, and had exceptional service. The entire shopping center and this store recently sharply declined. I was very disappointed in my last experience. SHOPPING CENTER: The shopping center contains Macy's and Target. The plaza was formerly more lively. The store has multiple entrances, and two parking lots. Surface lot parking is limited. Parking garage space is plenty. However, this parking lot is very dark day and night. It doesn't quite feel welcoming or safe. STORE/INVENTORY: The store is your typical Macy's experience with a little less dazzle. There are no seasonal decorations. The inventory is mostly in disarray. It is also very dated. I was surprised to see the styles of dresses especially. The good news is that there is a big clothing sales section. Overall, it's hard to understand the pricing of items due to signage and labeling. The inventory online doesn't reflect the in-store situation. I was looking for various pairs of shoes that were available online but not in store. Not just a single pair, multiple. SERVICE: Honestly the service is terrible in multiple ways. Beauty department has very persistent sales tactics. Even if you politely decline the perfume offers, the sales people persist. Personally, most perfume gives me headaches so I didn't appreciate the persistence and lack of understanding when this was shared. Some areas of the store completely lack service. For instance, the shoe department is completely unstaffed. You are on your own. It just seems like one area where the assistance could be valuable. Checkout is the most unfortunate customer service encounter. I approached checkout with two pairs of shoes worth over $200. I was trying to find a second shoe for the display shoe in my size. Since there was no one in the shoe area, any other departments, it was the only place to ask. There was a lot of confusion before it was sorted out that the shoe area is not staffed. I was then handed the shoe and told to go resolve it on my own and find the other shoe. There were no attempts to even pretend to look. The statement was - "we don't carry these shoes in store, we don't know about them." The sales associate kept handing me the shoe and sending me away. It was very confusing, I genuinely didn't know what I was supposed to do. Return the shoes or look again? Long story short, I went to Dillard's and had an exceptional experience. I didn't buy anything at Macy's based on this experience. I wouldn't recommend this store for positive customer experience. It was once quite pleasant but not any longer. The service is severely lacking unfortunately and needs significant improvement. There is just no customer-centric experience. read more

Macey's, you need to give jasmine a raise or never let her go she is beyond valuable to your company. I went in unsure of what cologne to get, after looking I asked a lovely women named jasmine who works in the fragrance section. She not only helped me chose one I liked but also made sure it was the right choice for me. I highly recommend going to shop with jasmine she will get you right every time! read more

Macys is the best store. As prices go up these prices are still reasonable, and the clearance prices are wonderful. The store is picked up, except some clearance areas. Those areas are fun to sort through for quality merchandise. I always find a gift that I can put back for the appropriate time. Pay stations are located near the doors, not in each department. Now, the store looks super for the holidays. The parking garage is under the main floor. You can turn into it at the light on Cedar. read more

I love comin to this Macy's and I love their selections for men. I have been coming to it ever since I first started working for them. You can find good deals especially if they're on sale or discounted prices. I can sometimes find Ralph Lauren three pack Ts for 9.99$ and sometimes more items on discount for the same price. I once got a Calvin Klein suit jacket for 19.99$. They are friendly sometimes and help you as much as they can. I highly recommend. read more

I went to pick up my online order at the service center, the associate was friendly and professional, it was fast and easy, however when I decided to buy some shoes to go with my online purchase, there was nobody in the department to assist, luckily I found what I was looking for and it was on sale. For the safety of you and your loved ones, I recommend shopping elsewhere. I purchased a bed frame from Macy's thinking it would be high quality. It was extremely cheap (the actual wood supports and the fabric). The primary support beam broke in just a couple months. Macy's refused to take responsibility saying it was shipped directly from the manufacturer, yet they were also unable to tell me who the manufacturer was. Since Macy's is content with selling dangerously cheap furniture with no accountability, I will not purchase from them again. read more

The store is nice, bright, clean and well organized but i have to say I'm giving a 2 star rating because the women's bathroom on the first floor wasn't clean. Toilet paper and paper towels on the floor, worse of all the stall doors don't lock correctly or all the way and people can just open them up on you. My father purchased me a fine watch for my birthday and told me Macy's will size it for free. The watch was big on me so I took it in for my free adjustment. It was Memorial day, and no one was in the store, and I found the jewelry department where a woman was leaning against the glass, idly. I asked her if it was true they will adjust the watch free. She said it was true. She put it on my wrist and told me she would need to remove several links. I was delighted to see she was going to make the adjustment right then and there. The first try, and she had to go back, remove another link. When she came back the second time, the watch was still too big!!! This is when she tells me if she removed another link the watch would be too small. So I said if that is the case I will get my dad's receipt and return the watch. But no! She tells me, if the links have been removed you can no longer return the watch. I begged her to try to remove one more link, I was thinking if it was too small it is the same as being too big---a useless watch. I heard much huffing and puffing from behind the counter as she removed the next link. In fact, the watch fit perfectly after the last adjustment. When I thanked her, she snorted!!!!!!!!! read more

Absolutely no help available, the service reps aren't helpful when you do find them, parking is an abomination, store set up and flow is a nightmare, there's a million different bras next to the pots and pans section- yet not one low back corset in the store. A disappointing Macy's to say the least. Limited merchandise compared to other more upscale Macy's. And the absolute worst part was the music. It was loud. It played various parade songs over and over again as well as songs from, literally, the World War II era. It has been a hit or miss at this Macy's. Sometimes I have had lazy salespeople who don't even want to go get your size shoes to try on, and sometimes I get eager salespeople who want to genuinely help you find what you are looking for. I just like Macy's for their ability to ship things to you for free if it is not available in your size on the racks. Great perk! Unfortunately, they did get rid of their rewards program and looks like the only perks available will be associated with use of their credit card, which is billing nightmare! read more

I just cam back from this store and i was called a " stupid A**" by a Macys employee ; what happen was that i brought back a sweater that i purchased for my husband yesterday because they forgot to remove a security tag from the sweater; so i explained the situation to her and i told her that i purchased the item with my Macys card; so she told me in a very RUDE way : That she will remove it but next time i will need the receipt ( that i completely understand ) So i thanked her and she just turn over me and i was like OK... My son was shoked how rude she was.. First of all, they are in a huge parking deck area. Half the stores have left bc of the area it's in. Terrible service here. Had to go to three different service desk to just return an item. I finally found someone to help me, and her response was, just go down stairs and return it with them. She was too busy folding clothes. Mean while, the phone kept ringing at the register and no one was answering it. They kept calling back and that phone just rang and rang and rang. The store was very dirty, and not well kept. Rugs were flipped up and were blocking the main doors. I went through the store around 1 pm. So I guessing it wasn't cleaned from the night prior. I've never really been a fan of Macy's or the like, but one day, a friend and I stumbled in here on a hunt for shorts. While the hunt didn't really provide any good results, we did, however end up finding some great sale items! I sure haven't completely converted to a Macy's regular, but I do think that there's something to be gained from looking through sale racks. Also, of importance in my aversion: getting lost. I really have never understood how department stores like this are arranged. Nothing really makes sense to me. Trying to find your way around here will take longer than the actual shopping itself...or maybe I'm just confused all the time. Either way, I'd rather play in a corn field than go here looking for something in particular. On the same token, I'd NEVER try to brave holiday crowds here or come in a hurry. But, that's just me! As far as the staff goes, they were really helpful, though difficult to find when needed. We ended up paying at the men's cologne station because everyone seemed to disappear when we wanted to get out! (In other words, go to Whole Foods for their Friday 5x7 event.) Paying at the men's cologne area was fine, though we did get caught up with a very bored cashier who really just wanted to give us a hard time and get us to purchase Macy's cards. I can't remember ever going into a Macy's, or any department store for that matter, that was more of a mess! I have been to yard sales that are more organized. I felt like we had arrived 15 minutes after some sort of black Friday, "everything is free" promotion...the clothing tables were just piled with unfolded shirts. The selection wasn't much better. Writing to credit amazing service from the furniture department and, specifically Tim Neill. When my couch was delivered today one of the legs went right through my wall. Truly an accident, Macy's delivery service could not have been more polite or apologetic. When I called Macy's just to see if they would help cover damage, they not only offered to pay for on the spot without any verification (who does that anymore!) but, what really got me, was a personal call from Tim apologizing for the service and encouraging me to check for other damage so he could make good. There was none, thankfully, but I was taken back by the level of service and Tim's support. This quality of service makes me want to buy all my furniture at Macy's. Thanks! read more

I like to try shoes on before I buy given that some shoes run small or big so I find myself looking to sell my gift card rather than use it at Macy's. read more

I have had pleasant interactions with salespeople, but I've had notable bad ones as well. Once I was browsing the jewelry counter while three employees gossiped in the aisle near me. They were doing their best to ignore me. When I asked for help, all of a sudden they jumped to attention as if they were really on the ball. (They weren't.) Another time I returned an item and the salesperson did not speak one word to me. She talked to her coworker the whole time complaining about some employee issue. She went through all the motions of the return like a robot--never saying thank you or even sign this. It was quite remarkable (in a bad way). When so many people seek jobs, I don't see why these people don't value theirs. read more
