We came here with a few friends to see our friends play live music, and we got there at around the time they started. We got a table and we were seated right away. Our drink orders were taken right away, and then the waitress said she was going home and we were given a new waitress to finish our food order. Our food came, and we barely took one bite yet, and the waitress asked how everything was. A bit premature, then she disappeared and we didn't have great service after. Never had our water refilled. We had to flag her down to ask for another drink. And the thing was they weren't that busy at this point, because the dinner crowd had all left. The food itself was ok. I ordered fired calamari with a sweet chili dipping sauce. This was just ok. I wouldn't order it again. My husband had a burger and fries, which he said was good. My friend had a southwest chicken salad, and she said it was decent. We enjoyed listening to our friends play music and had a few drinks as well. My classic margarita was tasty. In our group we also ordered the elderflower lemonade, the rosemary grapefruit spritz, and a coffee banana martini, and they all enjoyed their drinks. Today we stopped in for what are hands-down the best sweet potato fries in town and to try their Saturday special: tri-tip tacos. The tacos were delicious, with perfectly cooked tri-tip and a grilled cheese layer on the inside of the tortilla that added a fun twist and great flavor. The only thing I felt was missing was some type of sauce or dressing on the side, since that's usually what I expect with tacos. Mad Duck's 4th location at Copper is amazing. Just like all of their other locations the food is superb. The staff was amazing, we were seated and given our menus right away. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded or overly noisy which was nice. The menu had it usual choices with a separate menu of their specials. We ordered the onions rings, Cobb salad and Southwest Burger. The food came out in no time and it was nice and hot. The onion rings were nice and crispy and not soggy. The chicken was delicious on the Cobb salad. The Southwest Burger was delicious. The Anaheim pepper and chipotle aioli gave it the right kinda of heat. Mad Duck Craft is taking over North Fresno. This fourth location is their newest addition and only been up for about a year. It's pretty hidden because I usually don't go through the Copper River residential area. I came for a private holiday party with full catering and complimentary drinks. I got to try the prime rib and mash, Chicken and vegetables, bread pudding and Oreo cheesecake. I had two drinks that were pretty strong, elderberry lemonade and a guava spritzer. There's a lot of families that come into this spot during the day so maybe this would be more of a reserved location than the others but it's very large and open, not so crowded as the others. I'll start by saying we have been Mad Duck fans since the opening of Baby Duck many years ago. My wife and I have frequented most all the Duck restaurants over the years and have lived the food and beverages. And we were excited to see that the Fresno airport has a Duck restaurant when we were headed to Vegas. We often order (and live) the deviled eggs when we go to a Duck and we did so at the new airport Duck. Boy, the eggs were absolutely awful! They were all mayonnaise in the middle and as a base, no egg yolk mixture anywhere to be found. I can't speak to any of the other menu items but Jake, you gotta QC this place. Our server did not come to attend to us and the bartender went over to the server to talk about us. And after waiting about 10-15 mins I asked "do I have to go to the bar to order or do we have a server?" After that the bartender on duty came to take our order, then once again shorty after she went back to talk to another server about us again. For someone who used to work in customer service, reviews are everything. And how servers are held accountable. I've been to the other two locations and they were super sweat. On our most recent visit I got the blueberry lemonade (cocktail), my husband got the stout beer, and my daughter got a custom made cherry lemonade (non-alcoholic) our server offered offered to make for her. I ordered the short rib special which was super tender and delicious, my husband got the fish and chips, my son got the backyard burger and my daughter got the mad burger. We got the churro stack for dessert. Everything was delicious. Fair warning, the fish and chips are HOT, cut it in half and let it cool before you even think about taking a bite. I will say my son requested garlic fries instead of regular fries and when our food was brought out he had curly fries on his plate.
