Mad Mike's is a solid dive bar with decent food. My burger slapped, the chicken strips were good, mixed drinks were good, and the AC was ice cold. No beer on tap, which kinda sucks. Service wasn't horrible, just mid. It was more in line with a bar that happens to serve food, not a restaurant that happens to have booze -- which is fine, just set your expectations accordingly. The server wasn't very engaged and forgot a couple things. My wife asked for sourdough on her sandwich, the server came back to ask again, and it still showed up on white bread. Overall, decent spot. Sorry, Mike. We enjoy your bar, but really the updated menus are dumb. Do not tell me how many ounces of sauce you are giving me! Are you kidding? We ended up with two white people as one left in the middle, but there was no lack of service for either gal. We ordered an appetizer combo which actually was really good except for the potato skins. If you ever have the chance, don't. App took 75 minutes, burger 3 minutes after. There is literally 20 patrons here and can't pull the trigger on our dinner. Half my party had finished before the other half got their food. I asked for a water and was given a bottle of room temperature water. This is a local spot that does bar food well. We are not locals (from Miami and diverse in ethnicities) and felt out of place. However, I will say that the waitress was not the reason. She was kind and accommodating. We ordered a pizza to share, which, despite it coming out wrong, was delicious. Why didn't we send it back or say anything? Well, we were so hungry and just happy to be eating. If you like saucy pizza, you will be happy. The wings were also cooked to perfection. The jalapeno poppers were exactly as expected and came out piping hot. The place looks like it could get lively and fun later on at night. They have pool tables and other games. They also have great drink prices. But limited draft beer options and they ran out of a beer as we ordered it. Overall, we did experience a racial micro-aggression by a local but cannot blame it on the establishment by any means. They go through employees like crazy and there's a lot of gossip going on here. But they have pool tables and good food and live music sometimes. Its open 24 hours and depending on the crowd good music on the box late at night. Locals are decided on this place but overall it's a decent place to relax or get wild. read more

Can't review the food because I never go to order, after 20 minutes I still didn't have my drink. I walked in and took a seat and after about 5 minutes the server came with the menu and took my drink order for an iced tea and after that I was completely ignored while she waited on people that came in after I did. It seemed that she knew these people because she spent some time talking to them. I walked out without the drink or food and unfortunately I won't go back into the place and I will tell anyone that I know to avoid it at all costs. The smokers sit right outside the door so you are greeted with second hand smoke, the. You go in and look around until a server tells you to sit where you like. We got menus and sat there waiting for 10 minutes all the time wondering where the server was. Finally said screw it and left. read more

Not a cookie cutter joint. that's why its worth a try. Mad Mikes is a local hangout. Locally owned and very hands on by the owner. It's frequented by the older crowd from Mesquite and people that want local fun and don't want the soul-less casino food. It can be loud and busy during peak hours. The staff is very friendly and they work at keeping you happy. They have live music and karaoke. Overall this place has a good vibe. If you want to get a feel for Mesquite, this is your place. That said,the food can be hit and miss. The kitchen is disorganized during rush hours. Orders can take a while and sometimes arrive cold or hot and cold. (hot burger but cold fries) The cooks don't know how to season the food before cooking. Bland burger patties etc. Like any place that has staffing problems. read more

Four of us in Mesquite for a golf outing. The jalapeno poppers were bursting with flavor. The onion wings were crisp and delicious. The wings were juicy and full of flavor. And the Supreme pizza was terrific. All this wonderful food plus a charming and efficient waitress made this the best of our four dinners during our stay. read more

About 15 of us from our traveling softball team stopped in for the first time at Mad Mike's. Excellent customer service from Jeffrey. He got every order right. He responded quickly to our additional requests. Service with a smile. The sports bar is immaculately clean, including the restrooms. Everything looks brand new. At least 10 televisions. We happened to be here on a Tuesday at 5:00 when the pool club started. Manager very accessible and courteous. Mesquite has many softball tournaments and I will continue to recommend Mad Mike's! read more

Heard that they where shutdown not once but TWICE by the Southern Nevada Health District. The second shutdown came after I ate here. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! Mad Mike's Bar & Grill in Mesquite was shut down after failing re-inspection from a previous mouse infestation. They were supposed to clean and remove all droppings, but inspectors found rodent feces on the dishwashing machine, under the sink and below the dry storage area in the kitchen. GOT THIS OFF OF CHANNEL 13 DIRTY DINNING SEGMENT. If they can't get their act together they shouldn't be in business. The fact that they failed to take corrective action after being shut down the first time, is CRAZY. It shows that the owners don't care about the health and safety of not only their customers, but also their employees. The food was TERRIBLE. The burger had ABSOLUTELY no flavor what so ever. Had to put steak sauce on it just to finish it. How do you mess up a burger? You can get a better tasting burger at McDonald's. The service was ok. Only highlight of the night was having the bar mess up and giving me two beers for the price of one. IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS I WOULD. I can make a much better tasting burger then this place. The live music is the only thing going for it. Heard that that they cook frozen food. Would explain why the burger lacked flavor. For the cook, salt and pepper goes a long way. This place really needs to improve the quality of there food or they won't last long. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. We stopped here on our drive home from LA. We were seeking veggies, salads and a smoke-free environment, and Mad Mikes was great. Our server was prompt, it's super clean, and they were so kind and accommodating when I asked for carrot sticks with my kids' meals. My salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious.
