And,I am married to a former teacher at ASA. I am passionate about this school. I will admit, I was suspect. I thought the parents who were so ecstic over the education offered at ASA might be a little off. It couldn't be that good. Really? My son started school with all the aprehensions of a 5th Grade student who knew very little about music, was active in sports and was very sad about leaving his friends behind. We (even he) chose this school because they had a strong emphasis on education and we expected the school to offer my son the opportunity to learn in an environment that was strict, supportive and creative. We were not disappointed. ASA was all that - and MORE! The academic teachers are inventive, collaborative, and very supportive. The arts teachers are music professionals and perform with and for the students and move them along in the curriculum with such finesse it's like they have private music lessons every day. And, the year was a success. My son was delighted with all his classes, especially his music classes with Monica Sauer Anthony. What a surprise to find him begging us to play his clarinet every evening before we had dinner or before we participted in a famly event. He loved the Science Curriculum, the hands-on activity and his teacher's passion for education. He worked hard in Language Arts and Social Studies and really showed off his new found maturity and knowledge during Presentation Week. And the lessons he learned in Life Skills class were really applicable and life changing. Then the performances at the end of the year were very remarkable and telling. I saw kids excelling in their musical expertise and showing off this success with such poise and confidence that I couldn't believe these were the same kids I met just 10 months prior at our summer welcome parties. The school does have a rigorous application process that leaves you on edge just wondering if your son or daughter will be permitted entry into this prestigious, blue ribbon school. The school doesn't tolerate any bullying and supports all types of students. And, the school is near Downtown Phoenix, so there are issues with the campus being spread across some streets, but those are being addressed quickly as they are building and expanding into new facilities that will offer a number of benefits for the ever-growing school. This school is really a dream. It's an educational opportunity I would recommend to any parent. I think my son would write a similiar recommendation!

The students are the ones losing out due to them shifting to be a very punitive type of campus. They have taken retaliatory actions against my children for me pointing out their hypocrisy and sadly the kids are only there because they want to be there whereases before I loved and supported the school and wanted them there, now i dont but they want to be there, so im trying to put up with it but many parents i talk to are disappointed with them as well, and new parents should be warned. They cut dozens of good teachers due to loss of students, but they seem to want to push more out!!!

We have a physical therapist that visits my son at daycare and she has seen many daycares over the years. She told me she can tell that the teachers really care about the kids and that's tough to find. It puts me at ease to know how flexible they are when it comes to food, schedules, and other preferences. I have heard so many scary stories online about daycare and I am so incredibly grateful that I cannot imagine picking my child up to find anything worse than maybe a little cranky mood or a mild diaper rash. We recently moved homes to a place a little further from Kiddie Kampus, but I knew we did not want to move too far so that my son could continue to attend here.

It's taken me approximately 6 years to complete this review, although it should take you only 6 minutes to decide to bring your kiddos to this place. These folks do God's work, literally daily. I don't have the patience or aptitude to do what they do, and I'm so thankful they're here. I can't imagine managing in this type of environment and the director, Jennifer is masterful. Like most businesses, there's turnover occasionally with teachers, but having had both of my kids go through most of their lives here, everyone has been caring and professional. Now, as you may have guessed, I'm not exactly the type of parent who is overly involved... err, micromanagey, so, I let them do them, and I'll do me. That arrangement seems to produce the best results. Kids will be kids, they'll do what they do, and again, these wonderful people are here daily watching them grow and teaching them stuff. My kids would've basically already turned into Blippi if they were home with me all day, because that's all they would ever do. The classrooms are clean, the grounds are nice and the kids are well taken care of. This place is a hidden gem and it's largely because of the people leading and the teachers commitment to the kids. I hate writing this because, the more people who read it, the more will bring their kids here, thus increasing my cost, but in this case, you have to know what it's like here-- I can't hide this gem any longer. It's wonderful. You would be lucky to find a place that's half as good as Lifeprints, and this place is the whole deal.

It is so nice to get together with like-minded parents that just want a place where their kids can play and explore. You yourself get a chance to be in the classroom and help out, play and see all of your kids' friends interact. Soon you will be getting your feet in the sand yard, going to parent meetings where the teachers will give you tips on how to calm your child during a meltdown, and you will talk to other parents and see that you're not alone. Some examples of community that I can think of during our time are the parent meetings, potluck events, a camping trip, and events at school where everyone is welcome for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. When we had our second child, and EECP knew we were finally home, we got a few gifts delivered for our new baby, but also a couple of big brother gifts and books from the school. When I'm at work and I get some photos sent to our parent group message board of what the kids are doing that day, it makes you wish you were at school that day instead of sitting behind a desk. Those are the times I know that we got lucky to find the EECP and other involved parents and teachers. One other thing I remembered that I enjoy is the stuff that our kiddo brings home. It is not just paintings that will soon be on your fridge or decorated shoe boxes, but also stories and music. Our 3-year-old would come home from school and teach me about Mardi Gras. He insisted on Mardi Gras songs being played in our home. He enjoyed dancing and marching and was explaining how parades worked, as if I had no idea what one was. It was so much fun to finally go to school and see all the kids parade around in fun costumes and carry around little decorated shoe boxes they made in class. This is just one of the events that we've loved as a family and now as a community.

They do different themes all year long and appeal to so many different interests. They give the kids a dependable routine while also allowing them to learn through play. The teachers are so gentle and kind, and my kids loved them. The administration is also wonderful, quick with communication, and kind. The love of God and of Christ is palpable amongst the school and my kids would always come home with a greater desire for prayer and a knowledge that Christ loves them. I love that the school welcomes parent volunteers in the classrooms but also in the events and activities they put on throughout the year. Some of my favorite events are the Praise Picnic around Thanksgiving, the Christmas Program, Preschool Prom, and the Dr. Seuss Picnic. The Preschool Prom is my absolute favorite and it creates some of the best and sweetest memories with your little ones. The pictures from the proms we attended there will live on my fridge forever! The onboarding process was fantastic- they took the time to make sure he was comfortable, and the staff and other parents have been welcoming and kind.
