The current members of the group: Claude McKnight (brother of singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor Brian McKnight), Mark Kibble, Joel Kibble, Dave Thomas, Alvin Chea, and Khristian Dentley dazzled the audience with their melodic rhythms as they took us down memory lane and threw in some new material from their latest album. One of the remarkable qualities of the sextet is their ability to creatively cross musical genres, from straight-ahead Jazz to Pop to R&B and doo wop to the blues. From "Sailing" to one of their biggest hits "Biggest Part Of Me" the group was on point! The acappella group performed an invigorating cover of Al Jarreau's "Roof Garden" that had the audience grooving and moving! To add to the enjoyment of the performance we ordered a couple Old Fashioneds and Sauvignon Blancs to pair with Jazz Alley's cornbread (with honey) and Key Lime Pie. Simply delicious!! The music started off wayyy too loud, my ears adjusted over time but afterwards it was hard to hear ppl next to me. There's really no need for it to be that loud when we're so close to the speakers and we're not competing with audience cheers. Was a fun hour spent! Issac then proceeded to assault one of the 2 people I was with. All while other patrons of the bar tried to yell at Issac and tell him to stop. The door man then came down and told us we have to leave. No " I'm sorry that was unacceptable." Just to leave so they could protect Issac and his drunken stupor. Too many bars in the area to go to a place where they're ok with their staff assaulting customers.
