It was a little dead on a Saturday at 5:30 but the weather wasn't great so I can understand it and even appreciate it more when it's not too crowded. The line for drinks was short too which is a bonus. For a divey bar, they do a great job of keeping the tables clean! I got one of their punches that tasted exactly like those heart lollipops we used to get as kids for Valentine's Day, which means the cherry flavor tasted a little artificial but it was solid nonetheless. I didn't go here expecting to write a Yelp review about it, but I haven't been out much recently, so I can only share a few details that popped from that night. I went bar hopping for the first time in years, and this is the only bar I really remember. When we entered, there was a room with karaoke on the left, and a bar to the right. The drinks and service were alright, but not special. But you know what was special? The arcade games. Behind the bar seating area, you walk down a little hall and BOOM- a huge room filled with the familiar sounds from childhood of triumph, or failure, as bright screens announced whether you won or lost this round, so, "do you want to insert coins to play again?" I'm not a big gamer but with so much available, and the contagious excitement, I had to join in. The vibe was lively, there was cool art on the walls- I just had a really good time. Heard good things about Jupiter/Good Shape pizza and certainly did not disappoint! Went on a Wednesday evening- it was not packed at all, chill vibes and friendly folks at the counter. This barcade is mildly acceptable when there's no groups allowed to takeover this establishment. Tonight's group which seems to think that standing in the walkways and leaning on pinball machines instead of playing them is the way to act here. Without any enforcement by staff or security, you can basically forgo your above average pinball price of .75 cents out the window as you'll likely be constantly bumped if you are anywhere on the line of machines in the backbar. The pizza is great and worth just stopping in for a beer and pie alone. Happy to spend more money on the pizza and their service than taking more than one drink or one round of pinball if pr.ick.s like this are going to be allowed to act this way in this establishment. I came around 10pm on Saturday and it wasn't crowded until after 11. We ordered the raspberry slushie, pinball punch, and a few vodka shots. The slushie and punch were strong! Raspberry slushie: well-blended, doesn't melt fast, good raspberry flavor and alcohol mix Pinball punch: the cherry vodka was very strong, maybe even overpowering. You could compare it to cherry syrupy medicine. I could barely taste the pineapple juice in it. There's many games and a Photo Booth that prints 2 strips for $5, which is a better price than other bars around here that charge $7-10 for 2. I think this is a cool bar and the bar tenders were fine but need to complain because they let a large dog in the main bar area. The bar is not big in the front and when I moved to order a drink the dogs leg was under the bar area (it's dark). So I accidentally stepped on it (briefly) and the dog attacked me and ripped part of my shirt. I got lucky I didn't leave with an injury. I didn't even get a beer comped and the owners and the dog ditched fast. Hey - it's a crowded bar - letting big dogs to the main area is probably not a good idea... there are plenty of breweries and bigger outdoor areas that let dogs in but it's 10 pm... not a good judgement call read more

Talk about an unexpected gem. We're in town visiting and my wife and I were looking for a night cap. Most of the bars close at 10 or require an uber. This one was close enough to walk so we decided to try it. it has a nice dive bar kind of feel. We didn't even know about the arcade in the back until much later. At the door the bouncer mentioned the pizza being good and so we figured, why not. I don't know if he's the regular cook or not, but the tall skinny dude, with a ship tattoo on his leg was an artist. I don't think I've seen someone have so much joy on what they were doing. He would slide a pizza in, and look at it, almost lovingly and proud of what he had made. The joy he had taking it out and handing it to you. I saw him make something that looked like maybe pizza sushi with marinara dipping sauce, he handed it to the bartender to go drop off somewhere and the look of pure joy on his face as he said to himself "I freaking killed it" as he walked back. We went on a random Tuesday night, and compared to all the bars we had tried this one had more people. It definitely gives off dive bar at the entrance and towards the back/side they have a karaoke room. The crowd was a total mix! You had early 20's to 50's. Everyone was respectful and the drinks were cheap and strong! There was one guy who would not leave us alone. He aggressively put his number on a receipt and slammed it on our table, but after others looked at him and two girls walked up to us he left. Jupiter Bar is a great option for large groups who are a little eclectic. There are SO MANY pinball machines, and the room was packed and a little humid because of so many people in there. There was interesting art on the wall, which was my favorite aspect of this place. I had one basic well drink which was fine, nothing special. We were on the prowl for a good drink during happy hour and decided to stop by this spot because it was nearby and had the arcade. It was pretty empty, ID check inside the door, bar in the front and machines in the back. Not the best happy hour discount offerings, just a dollar or two off basic drinks, but on par with what other places in Seattle seemed to offer (doesn't seem to be too happy of a place for happy hours). It's not the largest variety of arcade game machines but they've got the classics like Mario Kart, a few shooting games, lots of pinball machines, but no air hockey. At least one of the change machines was out of order but at least one was working properly. There's a vending machine near the restrooms offering everything to satisfy your vices. When we passed by again a few times later on during our trip, there always seemed to be a crowd outside at night. read more

I partook in some food and then proceeded to the arcade. I skipped the drinks this time (let's not get into the reasons). For food: I ordered two Hushwe tacos (Lebanese brown butter beef). For a side, "All the things" (chips with guac, salsa, and queso). Tell me, how could I say no to that?! The tacos were a bit unexpected (in a good way). These appeared to be soft shell tacos, stuffed full of protein, then deep fried. The tacos were so fresh they were too hot to handle. They stuffed them to the brim with juicy, flavorful protein too! Oh, and "don't eat the f****** toothpicks" their phrase, not mine. All the Things was a pretty great side. The chips were hot, fresh, and seemed homemade. The pico was as expected (fresh diced veggies, hard to mess up). They executed the guacamole and queso very well. The queso had great savoriness without overdoing it on the salt. The guacamole, meanwhile, was the perfect level of chunkiness with a great level of acid (lime). There's a lot more to this place than a few tacos and a bar, though. There is a full-on, incredible and awesome arcade in the back. This arcade has both modern and retro machines. Most notable is their impressive and large collection of pinball games! These start at modern ones, and go down to those that seem like they are from the 60's! So, if your thing is the simpler, slower classics you'll find it here. If its lights, rails, animatronic, and balls moving at mach 3, you'll find something too. What makes this even more awesome is that most of the pinball games, even the modern ones, are 75¢! Some retro ones are 50¢, and are even 5-ball games! Another sign of good thinking: the ATM can give cash in $5 denominations! Furthermore, the machines run on quarters, not tokens! So, if you get bored you leave with actual money, not tokens worth nothing elsewhere. Be mindful of those ATM fees if your debit card doesn't reimburse them! They're not high on their own, but can add up from several transactions. Finally, two critiques: First, I would have liked it to be easier to find a staff member. While the games are well maintained, when I had a machine eat my money once, I had to search for someone to help. Second, while I get the barcade vibe, with pinball it might help to have some better lighting. Little spot lights might do the trick. Something to better illuminate the field of play so you're not playing in almost darkness. If I was local to Seattle, I see myself becoming more-or-less a regular. Even as a visitor, I will be coming back next time I am in Seattle. read more

We wanted to stop and get some herb before headed home. We wanted to wait inside somewhere and this bar was super close. We walked in and grabbed a little corner booth and grabbed a drink and a little bit of food. I tried to order a drink I saw on Yelp from a menu forever ago but got something else called the getaway. It was alright. I didn't realize it had tequila and I'm not a huge fan. It was cool that it was built in the bottle. I like trying different things. We also ordered the chips and queso from the taco shop inside. 1. Chips were crispy and warm. 2. The queso was soooo good. Fresh and spiced really well. I was so happy we decided on this place. It was a nice little snack while waiting. Oh, did I mention the have an arcade in the back. Wow so many games. We didn't have time to play any but it was awesome to see. Great bar although I'm thoroughly disappointed that I can't come drink and work during the day here anymore. This used to be my favorite neurodivergent spot to body double while getting the sensory input of loud music. I spent ours here eating tacos and drinking while working on my laptop during slow hours. Absolutely wonderful Spot to come and spend an hour or two in the evening. Fun vibes with lots of dark arcade mood lighting. Fun murals on the walls and crazy graffiti in the bathroom. I did not try the food but I had the pinball drink and it was pretty damn delicious! Service was decent. Last but not least they had a bubble bobble arcade machine ! Lots of seating and games and it's easy to get drinks since they have so many walk up spots and servers coming to you at the same time.

We really liked this place for a first-time visit with a friend from out of town the other day. We noticed this spot for a while before giving it a chance, and we wish we had visited earlier since it's such a cool vibe inside. We loved the purple-blue lights all around, plus the convenience of having access to an atm and coin machine already inside. As for drinks, it was interesting that they served some cocktails in the original glass mixer. Prices were alright, and we had the nachos only, so I can only vouch for those. Either way, I recommend this spot for a fun group hangout or even a fun date night. We'll definitely be back soon, felt like a kid again playing those arcade games :) read more

The place is dark, and in the back is a full on arcade, many pin ball machines. I think if the drinks were on point this would definitely pull 5 stars. The area around the corner had many bums kicking it on the street so you probably don't want to have too many drinks there and get robbed on the way out. read more

I purchased a pizza from this place, and soon after eating it my DOG, and I became sick. The pizza is cut into 4 slices. I decided to eat half(2 slices), and save the other 2 for my dinner. After finishing my 2 slices, I had a small piece of the crust left, and it became a treat for my dog. We were across from the building I live in, and I decided to take the remaining slices inside. While waiting for the elevator to take us up, another resident tapped me on my shoulder, to inform me that my dog had just threw up. I turned a looked down, and sure enough there was a sorta large puddle of whatever it was, on the ground. I then went right away to find something to clean the puddle. At the same time, my stomach started to rumble, like something was running around inside. I've NEVER felt my stomach rumble like that. I managed to make it up to my apartment, only to come out, 1hour later. It was a horrible experience. While sitting, I decided to take the remaining 2 slices BACK to jupiters for a refund. I entered the building, and spoke with the guy at the door. I told him why I had come back, his response? "What do you want me to do about it", and not in a friendly voice. He directed me to a bar like counter, where I talked to the actual person that made the pizza. At first it seemed like he was going to not take the pizza back, until another guy stepped in, and gladly gave me a refund. It was as if something like that has happened before. I walked out glad that I was able to at least. Get my money back. I really didn't know what had taken place. Did the actual guy who made the pizza put some type of laxative in my food, or was the pizza doe bad(that's the only part of the pizza I had given my dog). I still don't know exactly what happened. I know I wasn't offered a fresh pizza(not that I would have excepted it) for my trouble. They just wanted me to leave, I feel. I will never go back to that place again, nor will I recommend it to anyone ( it was recommended to me by someone who was using them because they had no chef). read more

I'm into pinball bars and learned about this from a list telling me all the local ones. I don't get to this neighborhood as much as I should and there are many places here I have never made it inside. I would have had no idea that this was a pinball bar had I not see the article, but now I plan to add it into my Seattle rotation. It does look appealing from the outside and many people were hanging out in the front when we arrived before it opened. There's a fortune telling machine that will give you a fortune that even accepts credit cards which seems to work when they are closed if you happen to be walking by. I'll be checking this out on my next visit. The inside is dark and cool on a hot day. There are two bars and the option to get some Mexican food. The vegan cauliflower tacos sounded appealing, but we had just ate. The front area is seating and the back half is the arcade room. There are quite a few pinball machines, some older ones and some newer ones. Most were 75 cents. There are some other arcade games too if pinball is not your thing. I appreciate that there are small tables to set your drink on between the machines, rather than having to use the attached cup holders. This place has a full bar which does set it apart from some of the canned beverage only pinball places. The bartender was helpful and kept up with the many orders. Great bar for a casual night out! I've been here a few times while bar hopping in belltown, and I've always had a good time. It's the perfect place to end the night, with cheaper drinks, lots of games, and not so loud that you can't hear each other. Is it a bit grimy? Sure, but it's a dive bar. Bartenders are pretty friendly as well. I really appreciated the one who helped me figure out where to get coins! I especially love the arcade section as there are so many options to choose from. This was the first bar I visited during my trip and had such a fun time here! Cheap drinks, great selection of arcade games, and a relaxed atmosphere. It's in the Belltown neighborhood in close proximity to many other trendy bars. The drinks here were alright - my tequila pineapple was definitely on the stronger side but I appreciated how cheap the drink was so I'm not complaining. There's a coin machine here so no need to worry about bringing change before coming here. Most of the arcade games here are your staples like pinball, PacMan, and Galaga. I had a great time at the pinball machines, they even have a newer themed machine for Stranger Things which was neat! There were a couple of them that ate my quarters without registering as credits though. Side note: if you're looking to play Galaga, choose the PacMan/Galaga machine closest to the bar and pinball machines instead of by the neon sign since the shooter controls at that one are more responsive. read more
