My family and I were out and about when hunger struck, so after walking by Maddalena's a few times and always noticing how busy it gets during lunch and dinner, we decided it was finally time to give it a try. The menu is small, which I actually appreciate. Too many choices can be overwhelming, but this one has just the right variety without overdoing it. Somehow, we all ended up ordering the same thing: the buttered spaghetti noodles and the garlic bread platter. Fair warning... the garlic bread was so good it was almost completely gone before I remembered to take a picture. Like I said--they were hungry! The restaurant has a cozy, tucked-away dining area that feels warm and inviting, and everything was clean and well-kept. Soft Italian music played in the background, and there's a piano that looks like it's used for live performances from time to time, adding to the atmosphere. Overall, I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5. It doesn't quite reach a 5 for me, but it's definitely above average and worth a visit. I'll absolutely be back to try more of the menu. read more

First time that we tried this establishment since Longview really does not have an Italian restaurant. Well in my opinion the food was very bland, small portions and very pricey. Well had the chicken Alfredo and spaghetti with meatballs. Plus the antipasto. Hopefully they will up their game as the Italian market is theirs for the taking in the Longview\Kelso area. Best Italian style restaurant around is Amaro's Table in Castle Rock. read more

For his birthday, I took my Hubby to the Grand Opening on 11/15/25 for a nice Italian dinner. We have very mixed feelings about it. Pros: The wait staff happily greeted everyone who came in. They were so sweet! Everything was new & clean. The 2 items we ordered were delicious! You can tell the difference between boxed and handmade pasta. The sauces were expertly made, the meat was tender and flavorful. CONS: With all the hype & advertising, we expected more of an Italian Restaurant kind of vibe even though it is in a mall (we've been to some very nice ones!). but it was more of a cafeteria atmosphere. Just like at ANY fast food place, you order at the counter, take your number then retrieve your plastic picnic utensils, napkins and find a table. They did bring our order to the table and checked on us once though. The paper bowls were horrible! Trying to scrape some of the sauce off the bottom (to us) was like fingernails on a chalkboard! I did hear rumors they were or have switched to plastic. If you're going for a real Italian dinner, expect to pay dearly for it! Just for perspective: When we visit a nice Italian RR in Vancouver, the price for a Dinner size bowl of Chicken Alfredo is $22.79 which INCLUDES endless salad & breadsticks. At Maddelena's, expect to pay $16.95 for a small bowl of Chicken Alfredo, $9.49 for a single serving of breadsticks (however, they are fancier) & $7.50 for a house sized salad. So at Maddelina's, expect to pay just under $34 without the "all you can eat" sides. If they would think about including -even basic garlic/parm breadsticks (and if necessary, charge for dipping marinara) with an entree order, I think it would leave a better impression on customers and even build up more return business. read more

We were on our way to Seattle and decided to stop at the Three Rivers Mall in Kelso for lunch. I'm so glad we found Maddalena's Italian Café! The food was fresh, flavorful, and tasted homemade, from the pasta to the sauces. The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and the quality was outstanding. It was a very relaxing atmosphere for being in the mall, found the plastic utensils & trays a little ugh but I also understand the reason for them doing that since they have doordash coming in a lot. The service was wonderful and really appreciated the information too. The food was very good and loved how they made their own noodles. After enjoying yet another great meal from The Office we were suggested to try out this restaurant. Once again, they aim to please! The food truly had excellent texture, looked delicious, and our taste buds were not disappointed! The service was equally friendly and fast! The ambiance was very simple yet modern. We normally order from Maddalenas cafe 2 sometimes 3 times per week I messaged them personally a week ago regarding an issue as I didn't want to leave a bad review as they have been great for a few months not sure if they are struggling to stay open but lately they have went down hill hardly and sauce on the pasta even when we pay for extra almost get dry pasta. Tonight we ordered two plates of the vodka sausage pasta with extra sauce 43.00 plus tip it was terrible I would have been better off spending 15 dollars buying Ragu and store-bought pasta with sausage. I hope they get it together sauce is not that expensive to make. read more

We tried this place a few weeks ago. The food was very good and fresh. It is not typical food court or fast food. I thought it was Great value for the price point, good service and a friendly, helpful host. I plan to make it a regular place to dine. I walk at the mall regularly and noticed they were making their own pasta. The first time we went hear they did serve in plastic food containers, but when we went back they are now using reusable plates and utensils. They still use plastic cups, but I bet they are working on that, so yea, no guilt. They have many options on the menu. And I believe they have beer and wine. They have piped in music in the dinning room background volume. It's a good meal and a chance to rediscover the mall that's actually not doing too bad, they have some interesting shops. Or dinner and a movie at the regal moves. read more

A great new place to eat. Set up so you feel like you're eating at a sidewalk cafe. The food was delicious; I had the Vodka Bucatini and my wife had Vegetarian Fusilli Marinara. The prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are perfect; no lugging home bowls of food to warm up the next day. The staff was very friendly and very helpful, and the service was quick.
