The hallway connects it to entertainment places like Hallmark visitor center, Kaleidoscope, Sealife and Lego Center. In the plaza they also had ice rink and Christmas decorations. There's indoor parking, street car stop and Union station (minutes away) for guests. Throughout the day, lots of tourists, including families with kids visit this center. The restaurants have varieties like bbq, pizza and sandwiches. Sheridan's frozen custard is a really popular ice cream store. It is also connected to Westin hotel via passageway. I did struggle a bit the signs and directions. There were not clear in some corners. Security personnel are available throughout the plaza, we took some direction help from them. But overall it's a prime spot in KC.

I took my girls down here via streetcar a few days after Christmas and there's just simply nothing to do but eat or buy. We saw a bunch of Christmas village type decorations from their holiday market, but everything was being torn down. There aren't a lot of play areas outside otherwise. So we ventured throughout the inside, and while a few decent restaurants, it's sort of just like an old mall food court. They do have an area back by the Coterie Theater that you can see Santa, or during other seasons, has some kind of fun, free exhibition for kids. The week after Christmas (and for a month or so), it was shuttered with nothing to do. My girls loved using the Link to Union Station, and finding the old school atrium inside the Westin Hotel en route. What can I say, they're easily entertained, which is why it's disappointing that Crown Center can't live up to their low bar. Positives are the Quixotic theater, the Coterie theater, races here like Hospital Hill, the ice terrace, and the Mayor's Christmas tree ceremony. Country Club Plaza just adds so much. Oh, and there's shopping. As someone else put it, this is the Beverly Hills of Missouri. True. Come to think of it, they could rename 47th Rodeo Drive, pronounce it like the livestock event and have an annual cattle drive to celebrate the city's history. Lol. Jk, jk. Kinda. You can't go wrong! Some of the items are higher price but that's to be expected when supporting local makers. I did find some reasonable items such as a brush for mixing shaving cream which is an essential for me. I also want to purchase some of the KC canning goods. I'll definitely drop in here to do some window shopping or gifting giving.

I ordered a seasonal iced peach latte - that had just a hint of peach sweetness to it and an otherwise caramel-y flavor - and got a spot right by the counter. The morning was temperate, so one of the garage doors at the front was open. As we reached noon, they closed the garage door to let the A/C do its thing. The main door otherwise opens into the sink room of the bathroom area, which is admittedly quirky-cute. My barista, Quinn, was super knowledgable and told us about the specials coming up this week to entice us back. She took some time to chat with me about why she loves working there, and both she and the other barista seemed to fit perfectly into the space. Thriving plants, lots of space to mingle or work - though, be prepared for someone to sit right next to you anyway - I wish I lived a little closer because this would absolutely be my new regular. As it is, I will be back often. Fun perk: convenient, big parking lot just north of the shop.

There are quite a few businesses with a good mix of tenants in this area. The buildings have a clean look to them and none look dilapidated. They recently have moved a Starbucks from one parcel to another. The McDonald's is also getting remodeled.
