My waitress was wonderful and asked how everything was and we did tell her that it was undercooked and she told us, I'll let them know. Being a great waitress. They are supposed to let the cook or the manager know if something is not being cooked properly. So I told her I didn't want anything in return, but she did take the hamburger back. I have a bad feeling that she was chastised for that because when she came back out, she had glasses on and she didn't look at me. We paid our bill and left, but my husband and I both got the bad feeling that she got chastised for letting them know that that burger was undercooked. Normally, you don't have to tell someone to cook the burger done because the last thing you want is raw ground beef in your mouth. i'm hoping it was just a fluke and I hope she didn't get in trouble because she was a wonderful waitress, and I would go back and just make sure next time I tell them make sure my burger was cooked all the way through.. we had fish all day and it was wonderful sitting up there in a beautiful atmosphere!!

They do not offer side salads (should!) but since my order came with 2 sides she just charged me $4 for the originally $16 salad in substitute for the two $5 sides included in my order. The atmosphere was wonderful. Dick and Kammy played live music and the sunset on the deck was beautiful! Would definitely come back to try the gluten free chocolate torte :)

We own an ice cream store in the Midwest and this is the only ice cream shop that is better than our ice cream. We are so grateful that there is a great distance between our shops so we don't have to compete with them. Becky and Mike are very friendly, serve a great product and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I highly recommend giving Made in the Shade a try. You won't regret it!
