Location right on Lemon Bay is fabulous. Hadn't been at this restaurant for quite awhile due to hurricane damages. They have cleaned up nicely . New hurricane blinds, great bathrooms and there is an outside deck bar. Didn't remember that. All the TV's were on sports..... & good music was playing in the background. Today was a very windy day and with the hurricane blinds down, the eating area was very comfortable. Staff is just a friendly as we remember and pretty darn quick too !! We sat at the bar.... April greeted us and took our drink order rather quickly. We then ordered the Smoked wings. Delicious Smokey flavor and tender. JUST as we remembered. The views of the water are fantastic! There is lots of outdoor seating to enjoy these views. There was live music which was very good. We enjoyed margaritas at the bar and then moved to the main dining area. I had a burger which was very tasty. Our service was very efficient and friendly at both the bar and dining. Not sure why we haven't been here sooner since it's so close to our FL house..... It's a great location right on the water. You can sit on the deck at the restaurant, or they have another outside deck with a bar only. Either way, you're on the water and have a great view of the sunset. There is live music on the weekends. It was slightly busy so after dinner we moved to the Adirondack chairs just outside the deck so we could continue to listen to the music. Our server, Tyler, was great! He kept our tab open and even served us at the adirondack chairs. Food... it was just ok. We had the pretzel bites which were good. They give you a stone ground mustard and a queso cheese. We didn't like the cheese at all. Usually, pretzels are served with a type of beer cheese. That would have made it better. We also ordered the BBQ trio. Probably a bad idea when you're in FL near the water. The plate included wings - very good! Ribs - also very good. Brisket - it was ok but too dry. Was better with extra BBQ sauce. The sausage - I didn't care of it at all. To me it had a chemical taste. We'd go back for drinks and view for sure. Food... maybe if we tried something else. read more

First time at the lighthouse. We were doing some shopping near by and decided lunch was in order. Located right next to the Stump Pass Marina. Food was good, my wife really enjoyed the Grouper tacos and the chowder was rich and delicious. We always pass this restaurant when returning from stump pass by boat but the dock space is usually always full. Definitely would want to check out in the evening during sunset hours. read more

Located right on the water with great views of the marina and the island. Stopped for lunch on a cool afternoon. They had plenty of indoor heat lamps which was nice. Had 1/2 pound of peel and eat shrimp. Shrimp were good size. Wish they would have had a little more seasoning but were solid. Grouper tacos and fries as my main course. Fish was tender and had good flavor. Had a rum runner as my beverage and it was great. Staff were friendly. Overall great experience. Will definitely try again when in the area. read more

The food was ok'ish- the calamari had some frightful flour based coating - tasted like cheap chips and way too sweet. But the ambiance and the view is amazing - AND the place is dog friendly. I don't care about the food. Will come again. The service is not very efficient but lovely and friendly. It is my favorite place in the area. PS: the music is a bit loud. My friend and I had never been to the Lighthouse so we decided to give it a try for lunch. It was a great day for sitting outside right by the water with a wonderful breeze. I ordered the Mahi Mahi with coconut rice and green beans. My friend ordered the cheesesteak with french fries. I took my first bite from the thicker end of the Mahi Mahi which was so very dry. Then I tasted the coconut rice which was perfectly cooked and quite tasty. Next I tried the green beans which were so undercooked I couldn't swallow them. I called my waitress over and explained the situation. She immediately apologized and graciously offered to have it remade or I could order something else. I chose the salad with romaine lettuce, fruit, and gouda cheese. The lettuce was in pieces that were too large as romaine often is, but the strawberries were nice and ripe. The pineapple however was not ripe and the high acidity irritated my tongue after eating less than a quarter of the salad. The mandarin oranges were not fresh - assuming canned, but I liked them. The slivered almonds and shredded gouda were okay. My friend's cheesesteak was shy on beef and overly salty; the fries were nothing to write home about. In spite of the food, our waitress was amazing! She was pleasant and cheerful throughout the entire time we were there, always with a smile, which was the best part of our experience. Sadly, lights are out on The Lighthouse Grill for us in the future. read more

I arrived to what looked like a full street parking but found a spot right near the door. I was seated immediately. I sat near the water and the breeze was great. My waitress Fay was fantastic. I had the smoked prime rib with Coconut rice and green beans. The meal was so good. I enjoyed all of it. The coconut rice had more flavor than I've ever had. Dolphins and Pelicans were there. It's still being remodeled since the hurricane, but the views are really pretty and the way the wind blows through there is so relaxing... their menu is very simple but really delicious. So far, I have tried the roast brisket sandwich and the grouper sandwich, the mac & cheese, the pretzel bites, the glazed carrots, really good omg ! and the smoked fish dip, really good, but really tiny portion for what you get and you hardly get any stuff that you can use to dip in the dip , a few corn chips, like two pieces of celery and like two carrots but the dip itself is really yummy! Service is okay. Sorta feels like service is severely lacking around Englewood in general... so it's never much to comment on anywhere. I'll go here anytime . read more

The service is very good, and the atmosphere is wonderful, but the food is below par. A large part of their menu is deep-fried and they definitely do not change the oil. The fish and chips, the coconut shrimp, and they jumbo shrimp are just like you to expect if you bought it at Walmart and fix it at home. Definitely skip the french fries. After four PM, they do have baked potatoes. Try that. The burgers are OK. Give it a try, just to experience the afternoon in a marina. Before Hurricane Ian, this was the place to go. Reasonable prices. Great menu and drink selection. After opening after repairs, the menu was changed, portion sizes became smaller, drinks were served in smaller plastic cups, and prices were raised substantially. I asked her where the closest military instillation was (which is in Tampa over 1.5 hours away). This place is one of my main go-tos in the area. Consistently great food, friendly service, and they are not stingy with their cocktails. Try the frozen pina colada (which comes with a dash of Dolphin rum on top), or the Rum Runner. Finally, the tiki bar ambience with live music (usually) combined with Lemon Bay water views makes this place worth the stop. Downsides: Parking is awful and you'll need to go early to avoid a long wait for a table (in season). read more

She really seems to care about the customers, and because of her, I will return more often. Typical casual outdoor restaurant and bar on the water with a mix of locals and tourists. We came early because we heard the wait can get long and most people join the list online, but that wasn't working this day. The service was friendly but she was so busy that she only stopped by a few times to refill drinks and the servers don't even deliver the food, it's all food runners. We started with the calamari which was pretty good and the sauce added a lot of flavor without too much of a kick. The portion wasn't huge but it was enough to share for 4 adults without leaving any leftovers. I went with the Grouper Reuben because our server said it was fantastic. I loved the concept and I'm a big Reuben fan, but I just didn't think the grouper tasted great. I'm not sure what exactly was off but it wasn't great. Cool little spot adjacent to the boat yard in a rear parking lot of a neighborhood. 2 stars for the food and 3 for the cool location and chill Floridian Coastal vibes and live music. Very standard fair,we've eaten here two or three times in the last couple years, and it never surprises us. Trying a variety of things crabby and jerk chicken was OK. Fresh Group or dinner Served a very tiny piece of fish definitely not worth the $30. Peel eat shrimp are fine. Smoked wings one of the better things on the menu. The group of tacos really lacked love flavor he with no extras except rice on the side. But the live music is fun, sitting in the Adirondack chairs watching the sunset with the palm trees swaying in the breeze is a chill way to enjoy a tropical cocktail. read more
