I can't recommend this place more than enough. They treated my daughter so amazing. They were kind…read morepatient and understood our budget and worked with it. They even discounted my dress by $200. She chose her dress on Saturday and the dress was in on Monday. They're amazing my daughter's dress crown and petticoat was 850 and my dress was 140. I know some people have had some bad experiences here, but I think that goes with any store. We had an amazing consultant. She was attentive helped us pick out dresses didn't drive us to the most expensive one first we told her what we were looking for and told them what our budget was, and they were willing to work with us on a dress that my daughter loved. They are amazing. I will definitely be returning to buy her prom dress.

Such an odd and disappointing experience at this Bridal shop today. I brought a bride and 3…read morebridesmaids in to purchase a dress for an April 2027 wedding. The manager of the store refused to let the bride try on dresses because of a 6-month rule! (Basically your wedding can't be more than 6-months away) It was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! Lol Anyway, although the location/selection of the shop is impressive for dtla, I would 1000% NOT recommend this store. There are several stores that carries higher end selections -- this store carried the cheap versions but their "new rule" is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Haa 9 months out is not unusual to look for a wedding dress as you need to set the tone of the wedding. I wasn't going to argue -- dresses like theirs are a dime a dozen down there so we just left. She found a nice dress 5 stores down so their loss. Very disappointing as an event stylist, as I have brought/sent several clients in to purchase dresses from this establishment... not no more. Of course their attitude changed a bit when they saw that I was with them and not 4 young girls alone.... not sure if the sales team thought a set of girls were trying on wedding dresses for fun in the shithole of LA.... news flash, people only go there to find a deal haa. As an event stylist, my advice is to try other small stores in dtla before this one. Pretty much all stores carry the same dresses anyway-- we found the same styles approx $25 cheaper elsewhere, sales reps were very accommodating (although the sales girl at Trendy looked mortified when the older asian manager told me the aforementioned) and the other store threw in alterations of the bodice/sleeves included -- SCORE! My bride really only needs to pay for a hem and bussle so the new bridal shop saved her more, more, more!! Will NEVER have one of my young brides be embarrased & feeling discriminated against. Shame on them....

Does Flirt Clothing live up to its name?…read more If you're expecting an inanimate building to ask your name and number, then no. And if you're expecting the employees to ask you "come here often?" before motioning the barkeep to bring you another of whatever you're having, then still, NO. Or maybe yes. Just not with me. Pffft. The clothes are definitely fun and flirty, though -- if you wear them. Flirt is the typical Melrose kitsch store -- one-offs and private labels abound. Not too many jean choices (mostly charcoal gray), and not that many T-shirts, but the ones they have will have you going gaga, lady. What's a boy like me doing reviewing an exclusively girl's store? Well, I have no intention of wearing that off-the-shoulder blouse or sundress (hmm... with the right belt and handbag, I -- nevermind), but the store is definitely a pleasant place, even if you're just waiting on girls to finish trying things on. You can stand there awkwardly listening to the early 1990s era boombox that's pumping out KISS FM all day (Lil Wayne seems determined to make me his fan), or check yourself out in the mirrors on the wall. "Oh you are quite the looker, aren't you..." Anyway, speaking of incredible, psychologically unhealthy narcissism (or not, whatever), the pink-curtained dressing rooms have matching pink folding chairs -- everything in the store has either touches or tons of pink, which sounds like a Hello Kitty nightmare but is actually kind of cute in a flamingo-pecked-my-eyes-out way. When you try things on, it's with a soft background of Pepto Bismo, but it does make that hotgasmic pair of koolats stand out in palatial, plaid glory. Sweet Heavens, but you're beautiful. Now close your curtain -- that weird tattoo guy with his tattooier girlfriend can see your thong. Hey, the stuff you're trying on is on sale, too! At least a fourth of the store is half off, so you'll have more money left over to blow on things like shoes, handbags, and rent. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful -- they'll make useful suggestions that aren't lame attempts at plus-selling. Flirt Clothing does lose one star because they forgot to remove a security tag on a $240 hobo bag. Now I'm going to have to come back tomorrow -- with receipt -- to have them remove it because SOMEBODY'S too busy (*cough* gainfully employed) to do so herself. I'm going to play like it's mine. It looks cuter on me anyway :-)

This is a nice store that carries clothing and accessories that you probably won't find at most…read moreother clothing shops on Melrose Ave. Most of the stores on this street tend to carry the same type of clothing. I bought a beautiful purple scarf with brown leopard spots on it the other day. The material was like that of a soft sweater. It was only $19.00. I could've gotten a better deal on it if I bargained with the lady there, but I didn't since the price was already low. Also, she was nice and showed me how to tie it since I wasn't sure how to wear it. I always leave scarves untied up until now. She showed me and it was easier than it I thought it would be. I really appreciated that. Also, it was great that she could actually break a $100.00 bill. Some places can't. If you're not familair with the area, you might not know that due to lots of competition, sometimes the shop owner or manager will give you a discount on clothes and other items if you ask them for one. Sometimes they are so eager to sell, they just offer you a good deal. I didn't want to appear cheap though, so I didn't bother asking. It was also nice that she didn't bug me or follow me around like a lot of the shop employees tend to do sometimes. This is a great place and I'll come back here next time I'm in LA.

A few months before ordering the ring, my now-fiancé and I looked around with numerous vendors in the jewelry district, boutique jewelers, and department stores. After spending some time with Nathan at Capri, there was no doubt that our ring would be coming from them. Nathan answered all of our questions, giving us a 101 lesson on diamond rings. He was extremely patient and collaborative, helping my fiancé create a vision for her perfect ring. When it was time to order the ring a few months later, Nathan was very responsive and professional every step of the way. 10/10 experience, will be coming back to this team for any future jewelry needs.
