I had such a disappointing and hurtful experience at this bridal shop. From the start, Ana (the cashier) was extremely dismissive and unprofessional. When I asked about certain dresses, she told me that "fat girls don't wear dresses meant for skinny girls." Hearing that in front of all six of my bridesmaids was humiliating and completely unacceptable. On top of that, throughout the appointment she was visibly judgey, making faces while we tried on dresses instead of being supportive or helpful. When we told her the color we wanted, she assured us it was available, but after going through the whole process and being ready to purchase, we were told they didn't actually have the color. The entire experience left me feeling disrespected and ashamed instead of excited, which is the exact opposite of what dress shopping should be. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience at the second floor bridesmaid shop was absolutely terrible. From the start, Martha was extremely pushy and barely let us speak or share what we actually wanted. She kept confusing us, insisting that every dress was available in all colors, only to switch it up at checkout and say they didn't actually have those colors. On top of that, her attitude was unprofessional and downright rude--she even made body-shaming comments, which is unacceptable anywhere, but especially in a bridal store where you're supposed to feel beautiful and supported. The woman at the front desk (Ana, short white hair) was also dismissive and did nothing to make the experience better. Overall, the entire visit left us frustrated, uncomfortable, and deeply disappointed. I would never recommend this place to any bride or bridal party. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!

We said yes to the dress for a quince today, it was out first stop and Janice was amazingly helpful and nice to us, we went after to look at other shops but we definitely went back to Trendy, the costumer service was excellent so we bought everything there, thank you guys!!! Great price too!!!

We shopped up and down Santee street looking for a WHITE deb gown and found it here! Figures it's the last store we looked at and almost gave up because many of the stores do not offer WHITE (off white, ivory, etc). Most stores need to order the gown with 2 week wait. We were so lucky to find a brand new gown off the rack and ready to take home! The lady was very nice and gave us a discount too. Happy to find the gown! Thank you.

I've been looking for a nice dress to wear to my sisters wedding and I've been to many dress shops including David's bridal. I decided to go downtown and was recommended to this store. My mother got her dress here for my wedding and I loved it so naturally I wanted to check out this place. This store is huge with lots of selection of dresses. Down stairs is the bridal shop and upstairs is bridemaid, prom, sweet 16, and other fancy dresses. The workers Martha, Elsa, Alma and Moses was all very helpful on picking the right dress for me. The dresses looks like the ones you would see at David's bridal but with a better price point! When I have future weddings to go to, I will definitely coming here to get my dress!

My first time here - great selection. This is a two story building, worth checking it out. My daughter and her friend found their dresses in the colors they wanted. We saw the same dress, different color for $180,00. This store was selling for $280 I think? I advised the owner, an older gentleman that I saw it for the lessor price. He said, go back there and buy it. He was extremely rude, not only to me but to other customers as well, even a returning customer. Again, great selection but the owner is extremely difficult to work with. He can down to $160 for each dress. I know I over paid but again it was the right color for my daughter and her friend. Be prepared with the owners lack of respect for his customers. He marks up all the dresses 50 plus percent and all the staff says don't worry he'll give you a good price. I could do without the games but that's how he does business I guess. He looks very old and fragile but he's definitely not lacking when it comes to being rude to his customers! Unfortunately, I didn't take cash with me so I was charged tax on top of the $320

Large selection of dresses from bridal, bridesmaids, quince, and more!

Tl;dr: If you have a thing for clothes and want to experience the "best of the best" (in every…read moreregard), Jerry and Ivan at JB Clothiers are the guys to see. Period. From the first call to the final fitting - and their post-delivery followup - every aspect of my experience with them was aces. In too much detail: Absolutely fantastic in every regard - JBC isn't merely the finest tailoring Los Angeles has to offer - it's literally a "Destination Clothier." This is going to be a long review - but then again I had a really wonderful experience, and in so many ways, that I can't sum it up quickly. Personal background - I have 25 years' experience selling exotic cars to very high net worth clientele in Los Angeles, and I am very aware of a what a luxury experience looks and feels like. So I sort of walked in the door "loaded for bear." My other experiences had the veneer of luxury, but not the substance of luxury nor the quality of product. A glass of wine doesn't overcome the fact that the end result is a disappointment. Anyway - I could no longer find clothes "on the rack" that were made of fabrics I wanted (sport coats and suits in particular). I had tried two "made to measure" clothing stores (Suit Supply and Indochino) and been disappointed with the results, so I searched for a literal in-Los Angeles custom tailoring service (where I could consult *directly* with the tailor - not just an on-site rep for a tailor half a world away). After much deliberation, I made an appointment with JB. I must admit I was somewhat skeptical by this point, when I arrived for my first consult, even after all my investigation. The feel of JB Clothiers is EXACTLY what I was hoping to find when I walked in for my first consult. After meeting Jerry (the founder/proprietor) and his partner Ivan, I had great confidence that my research had paid off. The conversation about what I was looking for and how they could achieve it was quite in-depth (and I actually learned a few things about my taste). Jerry and Ivan suggested subtle ways of "expanding my taste envelope" while still well within my taste bandwidth. There are myriad choices to make - and with each one I was getting more excited to see the end result. The measuring process was thorough and precise, having me adopt different postures and re-measuring many times. I was there for the better part of an hour. About a month later, Jerry called to set up the first fitting appointment. I about died when I saw my coat for the first time. It's gorgeous and not so much a coat, as a garment, I think. The details are exquisite - and they are everywhere, beyond the special embroidery you'll be offered. It is quite literally a work of art. We tried it on, and made various adjustments, and I left not sure I'd be able to wait until it came back. Long story about how I Dunning-Kreuger'd the first alterations, which were literally put back on the 2d fitting. Sorry I wasted your time, guys. But by this time, I was so hooked on both the product and the experience, that I added a matching pair of slacks to the coat, turning it into a 2-Piece Suit. Going back the third time, I picked up the pants - they are not only gorgeous with the same attention to detail as the coat, but they fit me unlike any pants I have ever owned IN MY LIFE. They are utterly incredible. Fantastic! At the last fitting all of this was immediately and obviously worth every penny and every second of time. And admittedly, I'd added considerably to the time by the alterations I thought I wanted in the first fitting. I have tried this suit on with nearly every shirt/tie combo I can put together - it it so wonderful! This experience was very much a splurge for me - and I plan to do it again as soon as I can. Yes - I spent about 50% more than I would have for a Canali suit off the rack. But I got 5x the suit as a result. I'll never again waste money on clothing - what JB made for me is a lifetime investment, and no clothes I've ever had fit that description. Really not sure how to better convey my enthusiasm than to say I can't wait for the next time I decide to tread myself and add to my wardrobe. At the end of the day, the expenditure at JB will actually saved me in the long run - no more wasted money on clothes that are sorta "close enough" but never right. And no more wasted time trying to find them, either. Did I mention I love this suit? I love this suit! And I had a total blast along the way! Thanks guys!

This place is nice but maybe a little overrated…read more Jerry's not a bad guy and probably not a bad salesman. I thought I was coming in for a consultation, and I liked the fabrics and patterns we came up with, but he was disappointed that I was not ready to throw down $4,000 for the custom suit that day. (He convinced me that anything cheaper in his shop wasn't worth my time.) I can see why he likes to close the deal the day of. The more I thought about it, the less comfortable I felt throwing down than much for this suit... I had a few other reasons, too. Anyway, I sent a message to the store the next day, politely explaining why that I appreciated Jerry's time, but the shop wasn't for me. Jerry ended up calling me, and I wish I hadn't answered. He started trying to get me to get his cheaper stuff that had already talked me out of. He was pushy, dismissive of my reasons and all around unpleasant. I think they have some off the-rack suits available, too, and I believe they offer tailoring, but I am no longer interested. He'll probably respond to this and be dismissive again, but those are my two cents. He has a nice assistant. I won't pretend it's bad quality. Still three stars.
