Nordstrom Rack is definitely one of those stores where it pays to spend some time searching through the racks. The artwork is reprints of Instagram postings of various locations around the United States. However, the only social media photo representing Scottsdale was am image of selfie shadow standing next to a generic swimming pool way in the back. There are so many more interesting photos of local architecture or desert scenery they could have used and more prominently displayed. The California or New York architect that designed this A&F did not care about connecting their brand locally. The locally employed retail workers were friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, I never received a response. As someone who works at Kierland Commons, I expected a higher level of professionalism, communication, and concern. Instead, I had to flag down an employee driving a golf cart just to locate the security office myself. The lack of follow-up and assistance during a situation involving property damage is unacceptable. Additionally, the parking lot design is extremely narrow, making it difficult to navigate safely and increasing the risk of accidents. I hope Kierland Commons takes both customer and employee safety more seriously and improves its response to incidents like this in the future.

Entering, I was warmly greeted by Terry, who made my shopping experience so great. Offering pieces from Trina Turk, Michael Stars, Rich & Skinny, and Elizabeth & James, it's hard to walk out of this store empty handed; but if you do, I guarantee you'll have lusted over at least one item. Lucky for me, they had 2 sale racks packed with great pieces up to 60% off. I found a beautiful dress that I couldn't resist; especially for the price! This is a boutique I will definitely return to. I usually avoid being the only person in a store because: A) I feel added pressure to buy something & B) I loathe awkward small talk. Neither of those occur ed at Carole's Couture. Whether you're looking for something casual or an outfit for a dressier event, Carole's is my favorite local shop. Keep in mind that the brands offered are high end and the prices reflect that. But you get what you pay for. I have a couple sweaters that I bought at Carole's that have held up and still look and fit perfectly...two years later. If you're at the Quarter and are looking to add quality pieces to your wardrobe, I would recommend stopping by.
