Beautifully organized store! Clothing for every lifestyle with a heavy emphasis on denim. Always lots of sizes available. Great leather purses, shoes and jewelry as well. Unfortunately, not a very helpful or friendly staff. No one acknowledged me or was even interested in helping me. There were only two of us in the store and then I was second in line to check out. Waited OVER 10 minutes or more to be checked out as the employee kept letting the person in front of me keep going back for other things, and should've helped me in between. read more

I bought my boyfriend two shirts a month ago that ended up both shrinking despite washing it in cold water and air drying as instructed on the shirt label. I decided to bring them both in to see if the staff could offer a refund or store credit. Anissa A., the store manager, was so helpful. We couldn't find record of my purchase, and instead of saying nothing I can do to help, she literally searched the day I bought the shirt for all purchases to find proof of my purchase. After 20 minutes of searching, she found it! She was able to give me a gift card for both shirts which was over $200. I am so amazed by her patience and willingness to help me. She could have easily denied me but she did everything she could to find the purchase in her system. I will only shop at this location! I always have such a great experience with the staff. I recently became aware of this store because I liked my daughter's tote. Which she has monogrammed with her initials. Her tote is very light and I liked the big pocket in the front it for your phone. Also my daughter has 2 small children and says she's had this tote for 2 years and it still looks new. It does still look new and sturdy. So that's what I received for my birthday!!!! (YAYYYYY) The only problem is it has to be shipped out to get monogrammed. Which was a very easy process. It's a 2week wait but I believe its worth the wait. The girls there are so helpful. Customer service is great. The clothing line is for a younger age group. But they do have a wide selection of great fitting Jean's and shoes also. Besides great quality! read more

Will start be saying I walked in to the store not looking my best, currently I am in the middle of a of a home renovation & just came from the job site (drywall) dust and all! I am I n need of new jeans for fall as mine are all packed in storage. My sister recommended the Madewell jeans which is why I came into the store. Walked into the store without a welcome or hello. Looked at all apparel in the store, focus on jeans. Second time around the store the salesperson finally stopped conversing with the customer's husband long enough to say "hello" but it came with a snotty attitude & disapproving once over in what I was wearing. Thought businesses learned something from Pretty Woman, "Big mistake, HUGE!" is all I can say. Perhaps the customer service is better in Raleigh NC, will never come back to this snobby location. My shopping experience began as pure frustration! I had been to 4 stores looking for jeans and none fit. I wanted to go to Madewell but my gps was sending me in circles - ugh Just as I was about to give up I saw the store. Regan was first to greet me and had 3 pair of jeans in hand in under 5 minutes that all fit! In addition she was kind enough to give her opinion as well as guide me on how to find my desired size and style online for future purchases. Thank you REGAN and thank you Madewell! read more

While I love the brand, the staff were unhelpful and not polite at all. I bought a pair of jeans that was supposedly on sale. I even asked one staff if it was on sale and I was told yes. I also checked on the checkout counter and I was told it was on final sale. When I was handed out the receipt, my mistake was I did not check it. I was apparently charged the wrong amount. So I called in the next day and I was told nope that style was not on sale. Then I checked online and it clearly said it is on sale and it did not say it was an online exclusive sale. So I called again and I told them I found it online and this time I was told I needed to come to the store so they can adjust it coz they cant do it on the phone. I went to the store and explained what I was told over the phone. But the staff insisted it is not on sale. I said I would have not bothered to come back if the person on the phone did not tell me to come over. This staff even discredited me saying that she asked and no one called earlier! Then she said ok we'll just adjust it as if she was doing me a favor. Handed me off the receipt without even saying anything. Is it because I don't look like most of your customers? read more

I absolutely love Madewell and the employees at this location are always SO nice and helpful! I had recently gotten a pair of Madewell jeans that I adored, I dropped them off here to get sent for free hemming (you get all kinds of cool perks when your a Madewell insider)!). When I returned to pick them up, unfortunately the hemming was done wrong. The sales associate helping me made sure it was taken care of and I left the store happy with a pair of jeans that fit really well. She even handed me a coupon for my future visit as an apology for the inconvenience, now that's customer service! I appreciated how friendly and attentive she was while helping me. Madewell has the cutest and most stylish clothes, not to mention the best fitting jeans. It is slightly expensive, however it is totally worth every penny. I keep an eye out for things to go on sale because every so often they do offer great discounts! read more

I'm new to this brand, and my friend and I were in there trying on some summer dresses today. We were greeted as we entered but left alone when we said we were just browsing. Most of the clothes were cute but the dresses were too short for my preference. However, I can see some of my other friends really liking this brand. Dude. I've been to both Arizona Madewell's and Kierland is hands down the best customer service I've ever received and that's just the store. The actual company is wonderful. The clothes are sized for women. I'm 5'7 145 and I wear a small and 26 in all their clothes. They always have such awesome sales and return policy's. I highly recommend Madewell to literally everyone. You will not be disappointed. read more

I walked in and asked an older lady (saleslady) about a style of shirt I was looking for. In the middle of my sentences, two women with dogs walked in. The saleslady got excited when she saw them. She turned and started talking to them about the dogs. So I just waited, then the dogs stepped on my feet, it was kind of funny.
