Walking in, the space definitely looked very Alo-esque. However, it was extremely crowded-including at least seven dogs which made browsing a bit chaotic. Despite the crowd, we managed to grab a few items to try on and were surprised to find the fitting room completely empty. Unfortunately, service was nonexistent. We received zero help from any ALO employee. All the staff we encountered came across as brand-new with little retail experience and very limited knowledge of the Alo brand. Every interaction felt as if they thought no one had ever worn or even heard of Alo before. This was not the vibe or experience I've had at any other Alo location. For now, no need to return to this DTS location. Please don't turn into Lululemon -put quality over quantity.

I don't shop here too often, but when I do I find certain pieces that I actually really like. This store gives me more "raver" and prom vibes more than anything. Their clothes run smaller they're more so fitted for juniors also mentioned by the associates. Associates were welcoming and helpful. Some items I will say are a bit pricy for what they are but some are affordable. Just depends on the material and such. They have a whole fitting room in the back of the store but they block it off completely. But they do have 3 stalls available if you need to try anything on. The line was very long at the time for me. Make sure to ask about return and exchange policies some items are FINAL!!

If I had more time, I would definitely have been in there for hours either going thru the merchandise or talking up a storm with the lovely owner. Everything is color-coordinated & the mannequins are frequently styled by the owner to give you ideas on how to rock the clothes! I couldn't help myself & I grabbed a SUPER CUTE maxi w/ some aviator sunnies that Danielle suggested looked good on me ;-) The thing I love most is the story behind the owner. Danielle's story is honestly a fairytale & seeing how far she's come is so inspiring. I knew her from the beginning & seeing her success in physical form is such a blessing. Once you walk in the store, her personality instantly grabs onto you & you're drawn to her. And that is why you see that store you're standing in, because she has that smile & personality that lets you enjoy your experience. Because here's the truth that I somehow forget every single time: this brand does not love me back. And yet... in I go. Again. Like a beautifully dressed robot with a glitch. Every visit follows the same script. I walk in thinking, "This is the day. This is the day I finally become a Free People girl." Five minutes later I'm holding up something oversized, boxy, and horribly unstructured, trying to convince myself that I just don't "get it" yet. That maybe I need to evolve. Grow. Become... "floatier"... Meanwhile, the mirror is quietly telling me the truth. This is not my silhouette. Never has been. Still, I continue on. Determined. Hopeful. Slightly delusional. And then... the sale rack. Ah yes. The mythical land in the back of the store where I behave like a bargain hunter who has completely ignored all prior evidence. I dig. I sift. I part hangers like I'm about to uncover hidden treasure. There is no treasure. There has never been treasure. It's just the same clothes... now slightly less expensive... still not working. And let's be honest... most of what's in here would end up demoted to "comfy oversized bedtime clothes" in my closet... and I do not need one more piece in that category. And yet I return. This time I finally did, actually tried things on, and was surprised by how much worked. The store is light, bright, ultra feminine, and leans modest with soft fabrics and thoughtful details. It definitely skews younger, probably teens into early twenties, but that doesn't mean you can't find pieces that work if you know how to edit. I'm not typically a frilly girl, but I still found items that made me look fresher and more put together instead of older. It feels like a more approachable version of LoveShackFancy, without that moment where you look at the price tag and immediately put everything back. And that's refreshing. What's frustrating is how many department stores and women's brands seem to design for a much older customer. You walk in and everything feels like it's trying to age you before your time. Even brands like Veronica Beard, and sometimes Zimmermann, can add years instead of taking them away. Altar'd State does the opposite. The pieces feel light, easy, and uplifting. There's a sense of joy in the clothing that's hard to find right now. I want to bring my 82-year-old mother here so she can find clothing that adds joy to her life and doesn't age her.

I checked out the Shoes and was trying on a lot of shoes. Found a bunch of Vionics, which is my favorite shoe brand. Many of the pairs were under $50, which is good, considering that the pairs are running at $75 each, at regular price. It took a lot of will power not purchase any shoes. I looked at the Madewell rack, but wow, the solid basic short-sleeved t-shirts are now $18.97 each. Can this be tarriff-related? I needed a refresh for my tops, separates for work. (I recently went through my closet in the earliest stage of Spring Cleaning.) My rating is based on the organization and the selection availablity.

(Hubby has a hard time when it comes to parallel parking. Being from the Bay Area, that's a way of life for us!) Checked out the following stores: Lush, the Lego store, Macy's, Dillard's, Nordstrom Rack, & Rack Room Shoes. It is a walking-centered shopping center, but some drivers are not letting peds walk in the designated crosswalks. Shame. (In Cali, if you don't give right of way to the peds, you get a ticket!) The shade is nice. So it wasn't so bad. We definitely got a lot of steps in. We also walked to the water feature, that we remember our son being obssessed with, when he was a wee one.

The information booth is well positioned and generally helpful, although I was surprised they couldn't direct me to something as simple as a fresh green drink. I later found what I was looking for at True Food Kitchen, which seems like a fairly obvious recommendation in a center like this. My one real issue is the sheer size of the property. It's expansive... more of a campus than a traditional shopping center. What starts off as a pleasant stroll can quickly turn into a long trek, especially if you're not prepared. Comfortable shoes are not optional here. By the end of it, I found myself more tired than I expected. It's a beautiful place, but the scale can work against you if you're trying to cover a lot of ground in one visit.
