I have been a Lids member for a very long time and I have to say this was my worst experience here. Granted the kid was polite and his customer service was great until it came time to embroider my hat. I waited over a hour because he kept messing up and tried to hand me the finished hat that was to the perfection Im use to and was told at this location our machine doesn't work well...I feel I should've been told that before he ever started needless to say I run a business involving hats and will not be returning there. read more

I came in here trying to exchange an unworn hat. I did pay for them to fix the brim of the cap. When I asked if can exchange it the manager in a very rude way told me I can't because the cap is not in its original form. Which is understandable. I understand how you can resell a hat that's not original. But the way this manager approached me was the problem. If you're going to be in the service industry where your job is to give service, do it in a way where you make your customer feel good even though you can't do what he's asking for. Tone and delivery is important. So whoever gave this manager this job, needs to be looking at his staff because at least they were nice and still helped me. They give better service. If a refund wasn't possible at least be nice about it. I would've spent money more comfortable buying the right size but instead I wasn't comfortable, but I still needed the hat. This store wasn't busy, so I was able to get immediate attention. The employee paid close attention to the details I desired for my custom cap. I was able to see different styles and font size of how I wanted my design placed on my cap. The employee was very helpful and courteous. I was quite pleased with my most recent visit at this new Lids store in Downtown Summerlin. The staff was accommodating and friendly in helping me locate a few hats that I was looking for. They have a wide range of hats from contemporary to many popular sports team including a large section for the Vegas Golden Knights. The store is mainly focused around sports fans but they carry a variety of various merchandise including accessories and shirts depending on the season and what's popular in pop culture. Another cool aspect about Lids, is the option to customize your hat with patches and initials. If your a hat fanatic they offer a vip pass for a small yearly fee of $5.00 for a whole calendar year. Selection seems to be abundant and the store itself always appears clean. However the customer service leaves MUCH to be desired... Came back to this store today after having been here about a year ago.... Still horribly mediocre customer service today which brought Deja Vu of my visit here last year. Two gentleman working behind the counter and not one acknowledged myself and my Mom when we walked in. No hello. Nothing. Was not asked if I could be helped to find anything. I did eventually find what I was looking for and when I was ready to check out I stood at the check out counter...still wasn't acknowledged and had to ask where to check out. The kid told me "right there" with a finger point (not even looking at me) and told me he'd be there in a minute so he could meanwhile finish what he was doing. I'll likely keep going to this location because it's convenient but I'll definitely dread every time I do. read more

The customer service is great, but the quality of the work they do for custom hats isn't that great. I placed an order twice with this location before and the first time the custom lettering on the hat wasn't quite right, but it was still wearable. I recently came in this week for multiple hats and one of the lettering on the hats didn't come out straight and the other hat just didn't look right. Lids is great if your just wanting to buy one of their hats with no custom lettering, but if you want custom work done you have to be super detailed to the T to get what you want. Now aside from crooked lettering, I double checked with them and they will do everything to correct it at no extra charge. And that's a good policy when their willing to do that. So far Lids does an alright job and I believe their willing to help their customers with any discrepancies their might be. It's a 2 thumbs up for lids! read more

Wow. What a rude and self-absorbed employee working today. Literally no one here and the employee acts like we are bothering him. We asked about a Raiders hat since there isn't Miami Dolphins. The kid with a bad braid job treated us as if we should know where the inventory is. I think the manager is wasting money keeping this store opened with this type of employee representing them. If you are looking for a little customer service, this is not the location to go to. I have shopped Lids locations for years and have always had a good experience. Had to exchange a hat I got for Christmas, was treated rudely and if I was wasting the guys time. First he didn't want to help me with anything and not only that when I asked about another hat he told me "you can't see it, it's clearly right there?"
