I broke my eye glass frame on a Monday. A couple of friends recommended Madison Eye Associates so I went in Tuesday morning to see if I could get a pair of new frames. They did not have a pair of frames that would fit my lens. After asking a couple of questions - when the last time was that I had my eyes checked, were the lens in my existing glasses the current prescription, etc.--they agreed that they could read the prescription off my existing lens and make up a new set of glasses. I agreed and they said that they'd have my new glasses ready early the next week. They called two days later and said that my new glasses were ready; I picked them up Friday -- what a quick turnaround! Nice that they accepted walk-ins. Very friendly and efficient staff. I wear rigid gas permeable contact lenses--which basically means I need very specific tools that apparently do not exist at your average pharmacy. While on vacation (of course), I forgot mine. Splashed acid in eye cleaning a pool. Was seen on a Workmans compensation claim. First by Urgent care to irrigate. Madison Eye care was called to look at and evaluate damage. They got me in immediately. Conducted an exam. Was very fortunate there was no long-term damage only irritated cornea from acid. Dr who saw me (Madison) was awesome as I was worried. He was calm, positive and very helpful in reenforcing a positive outcome. Very nice new office and exam rooms. Felt very fortunate to have this team attend to me in a very scary situation. Don't look further...these are the people you want to "see". I was visiting my parents on Marco Island when my daughter fell and broke her prescription frames. We went to another place on Marco who told us there was nothing she could do for us and wrapped a piece of scotch tape on the frames. That lasted for 3 hours. We then went to visit the team at Madison, who were able to fix my daughter's glasses and would not take any money. Instead of a bill we got a "enjoy the rest of your vacation" and a friendly and heartfelt wave". This is good business. My parents are going to take their business here and we will always recommend Madison, and will tell the story of how friendly, compassionate, and professional they were. A wonderful first experience... I was diagnosed with and Eye infection after visiting urgent care yesterday morning. I called the eye doctor and asked if I could get an appointment that same day and they were able to accommodate me 45 minutes later. Two weeks ago I went to my regular doctor who told me I had an eye infection. The next day my I had gotten much worse and I decided to go to doctor Madison for a second opinion since I've been going to him for 20 years. Thank God he recognized that I had shingles in my eye and not an eye infection he saved me so much pain and Agony + I believe he saved the vision in my eye. I went to Dr. Madison's office to have my vision checked and found that he has an amazing OCT imaging machine which takes detailed images of the retina layers of your entire eye. He found that I had an early stage of macular degeneration and referred me to an excellent retina surgeon. I will be eternally grateful to Dr. Madison for offering this equipment to the residents of Marco. He literally saved my sight from deteriorating into blindness. read more
