I went in for my eye checkup, and Dr. Byerly said it was time. There are many different surgeries for cataracts. I chose to pay extra for my new lenses to cure most of my eyesight issues. During the surgery, I was alert but sedated. I received specific instructions from Dr. Byerly, which I could obey. They do one eye and then schedule you for the other eye. I had my left eye done first. I could tell a difference, but it was not what I expected. When the right eye was completed, everything changed, and it kept changing. I could see tiny items I hadn't seen in years without my readers. My vision will be almost perfect as my brain adjusts to the new lenses in my eye. Amazing.

Therefore the exam here was grossly negligent.

While I don't recall who suggested Fisher Eye, it was only good luck that I wound up with Dr. Vaziri who suggested that my cataract removal could include a lens replacement that would eliminate my having to wear any glasses at all. Apparently, a fairly recent development in artificial lenses that would focus far, near, and in between was becoming routine and would work for me, even at my ripe old age of 85. Wow, I'm now, completely glasses free with 20/20 vision! Thank you, Dr. Vaziri. The procedure is not inexpensive, but, in my estimation worth it. No hassle, no pain, only gain. Sent fax to wrong numbers…read more Although, I have 3 insurance policies, claimed a picture taken of my eye was not covered and costs $39.00. Cost never discussed until checkout. Claimed can only use one insurance per day. Called insurance and said that was false. Just a scam to get more than what insurance will pay. A little extra from each patient. I will be filing a complaint with Medicare and state. Can't recommend this office to anyone. I won't be going back.

Brad Snead determined the problem immediately and sent me to Heather, the optometrist in the office. She was so wonderful with me and went over all of my options. We scheduled an apt for 2 days later in the Naples office. She drove from the Ft Myers office just to see me and fix my glasses with a sticker. My son came with me and we both went on and on about how fantastic she was with me! I highly recommend this office for all of your eye care needs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will be switching to Snead Eye Group from my current eye doctor! Thank you!!!! Unfortunately, I have to edit this post. Dr. Snead failed me. I was there for diplopia and Dr. Snead quickly passed it off as an acute condition that would most likely resolve itself. It continued to worsen so I went to another ophthalmologist who immediately sent me for an MRI. They found multiple lesions in my brain. If I had not gone for a second opinion I wouldn't have know that I have cancer that had spread to my brain causing my vision problems. Dr. Snead may be knowledgeable, but he needs to do a better job of educating patients and spending enough time with them to know what is really going on. I will not be going back. Heather was a great optician though so if you just need glasses, she is great.

I've been to other doctors with filthy equipment. Made me think twice before placing my face next to them. The machines at Dr. Andersen are clean and are wiped clean before and after every test. Also the wait time is non existent as they don't overbook. They also have a decent selection of eyewear though I didn't find the sunglasses I wanted from their selection. My insurance said to get the eyes checked. I asked for an appointment they had one available for tomorrow at 10. I said that's fine but I'm closer to another location so they also offered today at 3:00 I took it. My eye check up was a little more involved but no major damages from the accident so I'm happy they suggested coming back if anything changes. I then inquired to see if they by chance would be done in time for my vacation, the receptionist was kind and said I will find out and let you know. She called me right back and left a message they would be there that day or the next day. GREAT I thought. I worked on Thursday. I didn't realize that the office was closed on Friday and nor was anything mentioned as it would have been pertinent to picking them up Before Friday. I was so upset when I arrived and found them closed. $702.00 and I have no classes! I called and they gave me the manager, Chris from the Fort Meyers office, he was very combative, rude and an awful person to talk to. I asked to have someone to meet me there to get me the glasses. He said I am in Fort Meyers and we will not. I asked how come the office won't have simply mentioned to me be here before Friday because we are closed on Fridays. Chris keep talking over me and telling me he could mail the glasses to me, being mean and not thoughtful at all. Like mailing they to me would help my situation, it was just awful, I work retail and I have never said such rotten things to a customer. I will have nothing to do with this company do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
