I strive to…read moreleave fair, honest reviews and as much as I prefer to leave positive reviews, it would not be fair to those reading my review to not provide the full experience. The concrete was poured November 24 & 25 in 2025. On December 11, we received a Notice of Right to Lien from the concrete supplier that Murphy's used for the project because they had not been paid for the concrete. This was a big surprise as we had paid Murphy's in full on November 25. On January 30, 2026, we received a Notice of Intent to Lien from the same supplier as Murphy's still had not paid for the materials they used on our project. On February 12, the supplier notified us that Murphy's paid the bill that day and there would be no lien placed on our property. The lesson I learned is to find out from the contractor which supplier(s) they will be using and pay them directly. To summarize my experience with Murphy's Concrete: They did good work, their customer communication could use some work, and not paying the supplier in a timely manner resulting in the customer being threatened with a lien on their property is a deal-breaker.

In the beginning of this year, around February, we were contacted by the concrete supplier that Murphys uses and were told that a lien would be put on our home due to lack of payment from Murphys. After I contact Ryan, he claimed there was some sort of misunderstanding, and he finally paid the supplier 3 months after our job was complete. I recently contacted Ryan and sent pictures of the driveway where there was crack developing just in one area. Ryan said he would fix it, but I had to pay for it! I told him I felt after only 8 months that I should not be 100% liable and we needed to have a conversation. That was the last time Ryan ever acknowledged multiple texts and voicemails even after I advised him to just text me that his decision, not taking any liability, was final. He never did. Just a very poor business practice on his part and I would never do business again with him especially that I had to deal with a lien on our property!!!

My neighbor had a new roof put on! I work from home so I watched the boys work for two days…read morestraight! Boy, these guys are professional and proficient!! They had a system and it looked like they all worked together as a cohesive team!! The cleanup process was impressive!! I think at one time there were 8 guys working on the house!! You could just tell each guy had a position they were responsible for to get the job done!! I never talked to them I did watch from a far, but if you're looking for roofing or construction, I would definitely give them an call! We hired this company to redo a computer room carpet with wood laminate flooring and repaint. The…read more2 workers showed up fairly promptly and got to work immediately. The old carpet came up, floor prepared and vinyl planks started. That part of the job went fast, but black 'dust' from cutting the boards to fit flew everywhere. Nothing was put up in the room doorway.....there was a closet full of clothes in the closet which all got this fine black dust on them. Had they said something to me, I would've covered them with an old sheet. Aside from that and the worker having a bit of trouble rehanging the closet sliding doors which my husband helped him accomplish, all turned out very nice. Todd, the contractor, never dropped by to check on his men through the 2 days they were there. Next came installation of a new pre-hung front door which I had ordered and purchased. Three men arrived, 2 were the same 2 that redid the room last week. They got to work, removing our storm door first, then the existing front door and frame. They worked for a few hours without us hovering over their every move. Pretty soon l see one guy has started rolling the paint (I bought) onto the outside of the new door. The color wasn't looking right so Luis (job foreman, I guess) called me. The texture of the rolled on paint was the first thing i noticed. Not smooth like one wants for a front door. The color just needed a couple coats to be right, however the rolled on paint was just looking horrible. By late afternoon, the whole job, including erroneously placed kick plate holes, arched threshold so door didn't close properly, and the new paint which was so thick I could peel it off in big pieces, was a completely botched mess. Our storm door was ruined as they cut off a length on the bottom trying to get it to shut properly which wasn't happening because of the bowled threshold. Again, Todd hadn't stopped by at all that day. So I took pictures and texted Todd asking him to please come over and see what they'd done. He was there very soon with another worker whom he said to me "he can fix anything!" This poor guy looked, measured, shook his head, looked some more, then he and Todd decided the whole new door needed to be replaced. So after Todd reordered the new door, spray painted it in their workshop, and then brought it over, this new guy got it properly installed. This second door and all work done was covered by Todd. We had no hassle over that at all and he took care of it, knowing his crew was at fault. The only thing we'll have to do is purchase a new storm door. We appreciated that he stands by his work very much. In closing, I think if Todd had dropped by earlier in the day, that maybe the original door could've been salvaged...maybe. Would I hire him again? Questionable. He's a great guy whom we like very much, but his workers aren't the best. I know it's hard to get good help since COVID, but I would be hesitant at this time.

Eddie and his crew came out and removed our previous ground and wood chips, added some new soil and put in some absolutely beautiful rose bushes, with a very nice looking border. His favorite line was"you're nit picking" but when you get nasty workmanship and we have to look at it everytime we sit on the decks, it's not nit picking, it's irritating! Why would I ask a licensed contractor to do work against code when I could have a non licensed…read morecontractor do that? That's NOT what happened. You left my project leaking and did not perform the work according to the signed contract then put a lien on my house for not paying you the last payment. Just fix your work and you'll get paid. I never had that conversation with the contractors board because I never asked you to do something against code. I reopened the case because I forgot you have a lien on my house. Contractors board closed it in error when my inspector retired.

An update...plumbing had major issues in the bathroom. I had to replace the cartridge in the…read moreshower. Had to fix the toilet housing. Had to replace the tub drain. The grout has also began to crack in more places and is completely coming out on the bathroom floor and the kitchen floor. I will have to have someone re-grout the entire area around the tub to prevent water from leaking in.
