Requested bids and designs to remove all the grass in the backyard, install sitting walls around trees with flag stone steps and zero scape setting. The rabbits and voles wreaked havoc in our backyard. We've had to replace our lawn twice. Jeff with Rock Solid Landscaping responded. We agreed to meet and walk the yard. We wanted 3 mounds with larger rocks around with native plants. The crew started everyday at 7am and worked until 4pm. They were always on time and worked a full day. This job was completed in 2 weeks. They delivered a porta potty, bobcat in front of our home. They put cones for safety. They are very organized, when dirt, rocks were delivered they moved to backyard. Then they swept the street and/or driveway to keep clean. Our neighbors complemented on the nice job of keeping street clean. Juan Carlos and his 2 workers were very well organized. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. I asked for a few Day Lillie's be transplanted back into the area. They installed a new drip system with an extension for me to plant my small veggie garden. I'm so glad we found This and That Fence to get a second opinion: the price was lower than what the first person was quoting, but also the level of detail, responsiveness and service Paul provided was incredibly top notch. After walking the yard with us, we received a highly detailed quote of the work ahead (both drawings and written details). This was enough to give us confidence to move forward and schedule with Paul. Every step of the way leading up to the scheduled work date, Paul kept me informed and kept in the loop which I really appreciated. Paul also was able to adhere to what our HOA guidelines asked for, so that there was no risk to the job performed. He was also able to modify the quote based on a shared fence line with a neighbor, bringing the price down a bit more while still providing a good section of fence to be replaced for confidence. Shout out to Moana Nursery staff today We went to the Moana Nursery ladybug release for kids…read moretoday and the kiddos had a scavenger hunt throughout the nursery and earned ladybug T-shirts, made a pinecone bird feeder , arranged a bouquet of flowers, saw caterpillars on milk weed , planted a Marigold in a pot to take home., learned about carnivorous plants and brought home a Venus flytrap, and received a little container of ladybugs to release in their garden. It was a hoot. Great job by Moana Nursery and their staff in educating kids about planting a gardening, the importance of ladybugs, value of carnivorous plants, creating floral arrangements, and making home bird treats.
