I don't drive to this area a lot but if I am in the area, I would have no issues going to Kim Phat for some specialty Asian grocery store items and snacks. Because of the convenience of parking, I prefer Lian Tai, then probably Kim Phat, and then C&T (C&T's parking is often full because it shares a large parking area in a parking mall). Since I didn't eat breakfast or lunch before bringing my mom here, I was famished and purchased a banh mi (Vietnamese baguette sandwich) which was premade and also purchased a drink which was on special.

It was very good, but I do understand why she would not suggest it, I can see people not liking the Yang part (the white part due to the sauce) , but if this serves as reassurance , I was surprised that my gf did like it. I definitely enjoyed it. This was a fun experience, we had a blast with the lady. I could see myself going back there late hours when I don't want to have chinese food at downtown.
