We got a dozen cupcakes (red velvet, wedding cake, strawberry, chocolate). The price was also really good compared to what I've normally paid back in DFW. We got a dozen for about twenty bucks. As an old friend of mine used to say, you should stop in here just to check out the "smells". In the Mid-20th century, Haney's Bakery had a location on Cruise Street in downtown Corinth nearby which was well known for their donuts, cookies, baked goods and particularly their fried pies. The retail revolution of the 1970's including larger grocery stores with bakery departments and Walmart changed the face of small towns like Corinth pretty much everywhere and Haney's has become a fading memory. Cinnamon rolls are my favorite choice in baked goods but their pies and cakes look absolutely stunning and are very tempting. A drive-thru window is convenient but you'll miss all the delightful smells inside. Hours are 8 am to 6 pm daily, Tuesday-Friday and 9 am to 2 pm on Saturdays.

The strawberry pretzel salad was probably the best thing, but it was all in very discrete layers, which is not my preference. The pretzels were completely separate from everything else and it was hard getting a bite of all the elements put together. That said, the flavors were good, though the strawberry part could've been a bit sweeter. The cupcakes were fine. I thought there was a smidge too much frosting on them for the size of the cakes but it wasn't egregious like it is at Bite Me Cupcakery at Bridge Street. The chocolate peanut butter cupcake didn't have much peanut butter flavor (only the bites with PB drizzle); personally, I was hoping for some peanut butter flavor in the cake itself. The cookies and cream was bland but not overly sweet, which was a plus. The orange roll was solid -- the soft and yeasty roll was the best part -- though for me the orange glaze was a little too sweet. That's how I usually feel about orange rolls though so if you really love them you'll probably like this one! The muffin remained remarkably moist and the pecans were so nice and toasty on top.
