My friend and I decided to stop by Maestro after an event, as it was near by and it was one of the places that was still open that late at night. We had ordered many items throughout our meal: beef tartare, crispy octopus, pasta and a beef medallion. Everything was mediocre to me and nothing really worked well palette wise. The beef tartare wasn't my cup of tea whatsoever and this is coming from someone who loves a good beef tartare. I should've known that I wouldn't like it when I saw that it was topped with a string bean, a potato and a half cooked boiled egg (a 1/5). I had hope for the crispy octopus, however after receiving it I must say that it was completely different from what I had in mind and the raspberry mayo that it came with didn't make a good combo (2/5). The pasta was lukewarm and easily forgettable (1/5). Our main course (the beef medallion); although topped off with fois gras, wasn't seasoned outside of the sauce that was poured over it (2/5). The bok choy also wasn't seasoned whatsoever. However, if I had to name one good thing then it would be the amaretto sour that I got which was delicious (not too much sour mix and not too sweet). The venue itself was also beautiful, and the wait staff was amazing, however based on this trip alone I probably wouldn't come back. read more
