This was my first time going there for happy hour. The bar/lounge area was busy, but there was no wait to get a high top table. The sliding doors were open and it was beautiful out so the breeze was perfect. Happy hour drinks are all about $6. My margaritas were made perfectly. Stopped in at Maggie's Tavern in Wayne, NJ on 10/11/2025 and had a great experience. Our server, Taylor, was amazing -- friendly, attentive, and really represented the tavern at a high level. We ordered the Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos topped with mango salsa and the Maine Lobster Roll with lemon pepper-seasoned potato flats. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sides -- spiced curly fries, house-made coleslaw, and a pickle spear -- were spot on and complemented the meal perfectly. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Potato skins appetizer was good. Beef skewer entree was good. Reuben had several issues: 1) kitchen did not prepare order as requested so it was sent back and 2) the meat in the new order was awful. The taste was off as if it was either faux meat or poor/expired quality. No surprise it was buried under cheese. Caused nausea most of night. Service was very good. Server repeatedly apologized and did not charge for the dish, and this was appreciated. It was not his fault. It was a kitchen issue. Will never return. read more

A local go to. The best spot around for happy hour. The bartenders have a heavy hand and everyone loves it. My favorite is the world pizza. The service is always great even with a huge happy hour party. It's typical loud and filled with families but never so loud with blasting music, you can still hear everyone you're with which is so important. read more

Placed a large order last weekend for takeout and I was impressed by how quickly they were able to get the food prepared. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I got the Cobb salad and thought it was delicious! My friends all got sandwiches they enjoyed as well. Their only feedback was that it would've been helpful if the sandwiches were labeled because they all ordered some type of a steak sandwich and they could not determine which was which. We all enjoyed our meals and will be back! I definitely want to try dining in their restaurant space because it was beautiful! read more

Waited 30 minutes for a bacon cheeseburger. Cut one slice of bacon in half and proudly displayed it on the burger. Won't be back. Update - I wanted to edit this review because the manager reached out to me and offered to refund my meal for my experience. I declined because that wasn't necessary but very much appreciated. Had high hopes for this restaurant. Unfortunately what I ordered wasn't very good. To start the wings bourbon sauce was great, the wings themselves were over cooked and dry. The pizza was soggy and lastly the artichoke dip was strange compared to others I've had. Lastly, the wait staff (5 in the back) seemed more concerned about what they did last night opposed to making sure customers drinks were full and happy. I came here with a former colleague of mine so have lunch and I must say that the place is big inside. It's beautiful. I like to set up this airing and spacey we order a burger and fries and a salad and you come up to like $41 for the two of us which wasn't bad the price is good., the service was also good. The only thing that I did not like their rush to accommodate the crowd that's coming in, and I do not like to be rushed when I'm eating my food. Another thing that I didn't like the young man he picked our plate before we were even finished eating, and I think it was inappropriate.... Have never been here for a sit down, just at the bar. Would give a complete 5 star however the service was a little slow. Took the bartender 10 minutes to drop off waters & an additional 10 to give us the drinks. Although, I will say that there was a company event at the bar area, it could be that maybe that's why he was slow but regardless, a little more attention to your bar sit downs would be nice. While waiting to get seated, I overheard a fellow customer complain to the manager about a seven dollar charge for using his debit card. I walked over as he was leaving to tell him call the bank and they'll reverse it. The manager overheard this and had nasty words with me I did not argue with him, but told him bank cards are equal to cash and what you're doing is illegal. I'm pescatarian and eat salmon regularly with no issues -- until this visit. I was the only one at my table who ordered the salmon, and within hours I became extremely sick. By the next morning it hit me hard enough that I couldn't even enjoy Thanksgiving because I was literally sick to my stomach all day, and I'm still not fully recovered. I'm not claiming this was intentional, but the timing was too close to ignore, and it really seems like the salmon wasn't fresh or properly handled. I'm sharing this so the restaurant is aware and hopefully checks the quality and safety of their seafood. I've eaten salmon for years without a problem, so this was definitely unusual and unfortunate -- and it completely ruined what should have been a holiday with my family. read more

Came here with "the best neighbors in the world" for some burgers, ribs and a few beers on a snowy evening. Great selection of beers, wine and mixed drinks although we stuck to beer on this visit. This place was pretty good. Close and convenient location to where I am from. The prices weren't cheap but the quality of what you are getting makes up for it. I did order a vodka Gimlet which was not good at all but the waitress was soooo nice and switched my drink out for another one. We got two appetizers (potato skins, and chicken street tacos) and a 4 cheese pizza. Personally, the tacos were out of this world. I will most definitely get them again. My boyfriends favorite dish was the potato skins. I thought they were okay. The 4 cheese pizza was SUPER oily but I'd give it a 6 out of 10. We did sit outside (although it was along the hamburg turnpike) it was a really nice nice out! It was not busy at all. They played good music and lightening wasn't too bright or too dark. Decent spot in the area for some bites and drinks. Happy hour until 6 but only Blue moon for $3 bucks on the HH menu for beer. We came on a weekday evening. This is a cute spot with nice decor. Decent amount of flat screen TVs for sports watching. We had the mozzarella sticks and thought that was very average. The Taverns super salad was delicious. We come here anytime we are in the Wayne area and they always deliver great food, we drive semi trucks so we sometimes come in street clothes(Sweatpants and hoodies) and they have never made us feel unwelcome. Enjoyed lunch on a Sunday. It's a little tricky to get into the parking lot - only one way via Hamburg Tpke & if you miss it, you can't get to it any other way! We ordered the Greek salad, cheeseburger w/ceasar salad instead of fries, hot wings (although spice level was like mild), & the cobb salad. We all enjoyed our meals although I wished my wings that were advertised as hot were spicy hot. Service was good & my martini was made perfectly. I came here to watch the Eagles play the Giants and try their vegan sandwich wearing my eagles T-shirt. None of the Giants fans giving me a hard time about being an eagles fan so I could tell this is a real classy place. I also bumped into a few people I know and they all love this place. I sat at the bar and the service was excellent. All the food that passed me by all looked so good! They had a lot of fancy drinks and it looks like they are serious about their garnishes. Their bloody Mary look like it came with 1/2 a grilled cheese sandwich. They have a lot of different beers on tap, if your into trying different types of beers. The tap system was good. The beer was cold and had the appropriate head. There's a blackboard which lists the beers they have so they can change them regularly. I've never tried fried pickles before. They were good, but I don't have anything to compare them to. I don't think I've ever had a fried food that I didn't like. I didn't have their vegan sandwich because the vegetable burger looked really good! I was right! It might actually have been made on site and not a frozen patty. I like the little basket the fries came in too. The prices were a little higher than expected but it was worth it. The decor of this place is beautiful and I hear they are adding to their outdoor area. I asked about if they ever do trivia or karaoke or anything but they don't. There's a dining room for eating or a bar area. I'm gonna go back to check out their vegan sandwich and I recommend you check them out if your hungry or looking for a drink in the area. read more

I've been coming here ever since I moved into Wayne and it's one of my favorite local spots. One of my favorite things about Maggie's is that they have an amazing happy hour menu with food and drinks! Who doesn't love a good happy hour?! With that said, I highly suggest that if you plan on coming for happy hour get here early especially on a Friday. There have been a few times where the bar is packed and there is no seating so you have to wait or sit in the actual restaurant. The bar area does have several TVs with mostly high tops. Now lets talk about the food! The food is American bar food with a handful of entrees to choose from. If you stick with the classics you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend the traditional wings, sandwiches, burgers, and their nachos. Overall, if you're looking for a place to come hangout and have a good time I would recommend coming here! read more
