Sandra had the beef skewers with vegetables,potatoes and a side salad. It is a generous portion and cooked perfectly. Very tender and flavorful. I had the fig, goat cheese and arugula burger. It was cooked perfectly and was delicious. If you want a different tasting burger I highly recommend this one. Fantastic. I've been here for drinks, this is my first time coming for dinner! Ambiance: Big American pub with a great menu selection. Parking lot made it easy to park, and wasn't very crowded for a football Sunday. My party of 2 sat inside with no wait. Price Point: In line with the North Jersey Tavern scene. Ordered: Mozzarella Sticks, Mushroom Swiss Burger, Tavern Chicken Focaccia sandwich Pros: The food was really good, from the apps to the entrees. It came out in a timely manner. Good wine and cocktail list. Cons: Was not very busy where we were sitting, and the waitress was not very attentive. We didn't get utensils and napkins until we asked and didn't get a chance to ask for a refill on my water until we were about to leave. We also weren't seated anywhere with TV's to watch football. The chicken focaccia was not on Focaccia bread. Overall: I was not as impressed as I thought I would be for a football Sunday. What a place to escape to without feeling the heavy burden and fear of COVID! This location is huge, with multiple areas to dine in and enjoy a drink when you're looking to get out of your house and responsibly socialize during the COVID pandemic. Service is super friendly and attentive and their menu is phenomenal. Featuring tons of munchies, appetizers, entrees, and fun drinks, everything is reasonably priced and the cocktails are to die for. I had something called an apple pie spritz that literally tasted like an apple pie in a wine glass and wasn't overly sweet, but just the right amount of strong. There is a good crowd here, ranging from people in their twenties, to families, to couples, and it's large enough for people to maintain their space while enjoying a drink out. Highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip and brocolli bites which were some of the best bar variations of these dishes I have ever had. One tip, if you love fried pickles like I do, skip them at this joint and go for an option above as they were over battered and overly salty! Yum! Have eaten at the Little Falls location a lot when we lived there. Had been meaning to give the Wayne location a try and finally went this weekend. Table of 5, we were sat within 5 minutes. Our waiter was excellent. The kitchen, unfortunately, was backed up and our food took forever to come out. The plus side to that is my 5 year old devoured her bread and most of her meal when it finally arrived...so, a win?!? The decor is amazing. The sodas were delicious. Weird, but when I tasted it, it felt very cold and refreshing. I thoroughly enjoyed the Buffalo wings. I had the steak special sandwich on garlic bread and while it was good, it wasn't excellent. The fries were also good, but I stole all of my husbands sweet potato fries. They were addicting. The table next to us had pizza and it looked fantastic. Awesome to be back out eating -literally! Had a great lunch here this afternoon. Food was delicious and the service too notch! Felt very safe to be eating here the staff were all gloved and masked. The tables outside were under a tent and separated very well. There were 4 -5 other diners here . My sandwich , pastrami Rueben was stuffed with pastrami and served in a nicely toasted rye bread sans the drippy grease as served elsewhere. Just the right amount of sauerkraut and thousand island dressing and Swiss cheese. The fries were delicious and cooked perfectly. The fries pickle chips were thick cut and served with a horseradish side dip. So glad we stopped here! So nice to be getting back to the new normal! Come out and eat here! read more

Showed up to Maggie's at 5:30pm with a large party of 17 (including 3 small children under 3). Called ahead and was told they don't take reservations (fine). Was told at 5:30 that the wait time would be 45 minutes. After an hour, was told the wait would be "a few more minutes." Some of our guests left and we told them party was now 13. A few more minutes turned into another 30 minutes. Watched lots of other smaller parties be seated in tables that could have otherwise been pushed together for our party but no. After almost 2 hours of waiting, we left and went elsewhere. Very poorly managed and will not be returning. Staff should've indicated they couldn't accommodate us when we walked in instead of making us wait for no reason. read more

I went to Maggie's a few months ago and wasn't super impressed. I reluctantly decided to give it another go this past Sunday night for the 8 pm football game. I was VERY impressed, and I'm so happy I gave it another try! I highly recommend the bar area for dinner - we waited about 10 minutes and it was absolutely worth it. It had beautiful holiday decorations, a spacious bar, comfortable high top tables with access to several TVs. It was a really nice set up. We ordered the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer - it was fresh and delicious. The French onion soup is NOT my favorite - the cheese is barely melted and there's barely any onions in the soup. I don't recommend the soup. For entrees, we got a few salads and they were all delicious!!! Fresh, high quality ingredients - definitely recommend. I've been here a couple of times with friends and family. It's a great place to grab a quick bite and a drink. It's convenient and they have tons of parking. I enjoy ordering from the appetizer menu with drinks when I have a chance to hang out. The staff has always been friendly. I've tried a few different entrees on the menu and mostly they have been good. Unfortunately the blackened Flounder was not what I anticipated. It was not terrible but not quite what I thought it would be; however, we have enjoyed coming here. I cannot speak to the outdoor seating as we have only dined indoors. Really surprised to see a 3.5 ratings on yelp for this place. I have visited Maggie's in Little Falls and enjoyed it so I decided to give this location a try as well, and I had a solid 5-star experience. Not sure if we just lucked out in what we decided to order but food was delicious! We decided on a burger and wrap with fries and for dessert, we went with the chocolate lava cake. Everything was really good! I visited on a Thursday night and it wasn't really packed. Just a few people in the bar area and maybe 3 other occupied tables in the dining room area. Service was spot on. I also really just enjoyed the ambiance. A lot more modern-looking than their Little Falls location for sure. This place is super cute and has great food! We came in for happy hour, so the restaurant was pretty empty when we got there. The bar was full of old timers, but we sat in the "lounge" at a high top and could still get specials. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The drink offerings are plentiful and the beer list has a decent mix of types. I went with wine, but I saw a few IPAs that I'll have to go back and try! The Tex Mex Egg Rolls were delicious and flavorful. My husband said that his burger was more medium/rare than the medium he ordered, but said that the flavor was really good. The menu says that the pizzas are "thin crust", but it's really just "thinner than normal pizza", but I thought it was on the crispy side and still very good. Wow, what an awful experience. We came here with a party of 12, everyone ordered their food. We waited pretty long to get it but ok, its a party of 12 so I looked the other way. Everyone's food came out one by one except mine and the gentleman's sitting next to me. That's odd, we both ordered burgers, the quickest and easiest thing to cook. Fast forward 15 entire minutes since everyone got theirs.. the waiter comes up to both me and the other gentleman without his food and asks us "hey, what did you order again? I just want to make sure the kitchen has it right." -- aka, 'I forgot to put in your order so let me lie and pretend that's not the case so I can blame my mistake on the kitchen.' It STILL took another 30 minutes for our food. I finally walked up to the kitchen myself and told them "f it, I don't even want the burger anymore. Do NOT bring it out." At this point I'm over it, I'll stop at Burger King on the way home and be happier. But what do you know, they bring the burgers out anyway and INSIST that it's on the house. So the bill comes.. wait a second, BOTH burgers are on the bill. So not only did they ignore me telling them not to bring me the burger anymore (after waiting a goddamn hour), but they then lie and tell us it's free, then CHARGE US. Ofcourse they took those burgers off the hill when they realized the hell we were about to raise. So fast forward, I get home, try my burger, and it's grotesque. Cooked horribly, not even close to medium rare. I'll NEVER go here again. F this place. Do yourself a favor, save some $ and go literally just about anywhere else. read more

I love coming here with friends for a drink and late night bite. They're always experimenting with cocktails, so I love to see what new things they've added to the menu. My wife and I dropped by Maggies a few weeks ago to grab dinner while our kid was at her Taekwondo class nearby. You can check out the photos to see what we had. Service was awesome. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. My favorite thing about this place is that everything tastes fresh and I believe that indeed everything is made using fresh ingredients. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs and the meatballs were absolutely delicious. You could definitely tell they were NOT pre-packaged or something. My mac and cheese was the dish that kept giving. I am one to usually never leave anything behind but between the chicken and mac and cheese, I got super full and just couldn't finish the last few bites. It was amazing. Nonetheless, when I was told there was a pumpkin cheesecake, had to order it. I love anything pumpkin. The cheesecake did not disappoint. I'm so glad this restaurant is still open during these times. Ain't nothing like going to Maggie's town tavern in Wayne NJ. First time actually coming to the new one and I can tell you I had a great time. No special occasion but just two best friends catching up on the world over some well cooked meals. So glad the inside dining is open, didn't have to worry about mosquitoes or flies or any type of insects ( yuck ) hahaha. When we got inside we were seating in the dining area, everyone's spaced out. Workers are well masked and the place was very clean. I know a lot of people still have a fear and yes this place was very clean and well maintained. ( they do keep a door open to keep some air circulating inside ) Anyways once we were seated we were greeted by our waitress Justine who did great . Friendly and helpful & explained everything on the menu. She also was quick incase we needed refills or side of cheese. So thanks to her. We had calamari to start with, then followed with penne ale vodka & chicken parmigiana. It was delicious and great portion. I thought I could finish and nah I didn't not one but but you damn right I took that leftover home hahaha. But overall me and my Best Friend were pleased with the service. People are so quick to complain but I don't think you'll have a reason to complain if you do decide to come eat here. This place is one of my favorite spots for happy hour after work with my friends. The drinks are always good, can't go wrong with the food (my favorite being the mandarin shrimp salad or the tavern tex salad, one of my friends top favorite is the parmesan crusted chicken salad or the chicken milanese). All the employees are always nice, never have had any issues. As for ambiance, it can get loud, as Maggie's does tend to be very busy, which is a pro for the restaurant, but sucks cause sometimes you have to wait 45+ minutes for a table. With that, parking can be a little rough sometimes, since people coming to restaurant, don't always know how to park, since some of the parking lines are hard to see (although a better parking lot, than the sister location in Little Falls, but also has a tendency of being very busy). If you get lucky to be seated quickly, awesome, enjoy! If you have to wait, I will admit, it is worth it. read more

I really don't like writing negative reviews about places (hence the 3 stars), but I've now given Maggie's three tries. The food is just not that good. Nothing has ever wowed me here. It's all quite bland and soggy. This last time I got the chicken sliders which was recommended by our server and the chicken inside was gross. Not good quality chicken and was not crispy as all. I couldn't even finish one. The fries were good though but that's not supposed to be the star on the plate. The fried pickles were okay, but I'd rather get them somewhere else that actually puts flavor in the sauce. Also, our server was MIA for a good 15 minutes and had to call over someone else for help. They claim they need help over here, but I even applied to work there over a year ago when I was job hunting and never got a call back, even with years of experience waitressing. Clearly they aren't doing much to fix the problem. Honestly you can go so many other places that are less than 10 minutes away and get food that you will actually want to eat AND go back for. This place is WAY over hyped. Just go somewhere else. read more
