Wow this place was awesome. The drinks made perfect. Our waiter and cleanup crew awesome. Food was delicious. Great service and food. Can't wait to go back. We had vegan caprese veggie sandwich delicious lol but I did add cheese. We also had chicken parmigiana and a delicious Cesar salad with parmigiana crusted chicken. We are from out of town and visiting with family. We have stoped here before and sat at the bar and had a wonderful time previously. The food and service was great during that visit. Unfortunately, our last visit was very unpleasant. We waited for 30 minutes to be seated, not a problem but shortly after being seated, not a problem. After being seated, a large group was seated directly behind/next to us. Unfortunately, the group split into two separate tables, putting a group of 6 small children at the booth behind us and ALL of the adults being seated 10-12' away. The group of children were SO loud we asked to be moved. Unfortunately, that did not help. We brought this problem to the waitress and she agreed the kids were very loud. 15 minutes later there was no change. So I asked to speak to a manger. She also agreed to the loudness, and said she'd speak to the group. instead of speaking to the adults, she went to speak with the children. Really?! How was that going to help? If the kids were not so loud, I would have let it go, we've all been there before. When we are paying high prices and looking for a nice night out I only ask to be able to hear the people across the table from me. I was disappointed with the atmosphere and lack of concern of other patrons. We noticed as we were checking out, all the managers were seated close by and wait staff were happy to give big hugs to all the adults who ignored their LOUD children during our dinner. I'm guessing, the very loud children were somehow related to someone at the restaurant. ?? That is more disappointing then it being a common guest. This event will definitely be a deciding factor if we are to return or recommend this restaurant to family. Across the street is an an amazing Italian restaurant that local friends have taken us to on our last visit (BYOB). This will be tops on my list after this event. I always give a place 3 strikes before I stop going, so I'm not counting this place out. A restaurant can't always control unruly children or lack of parenting. This was by far one of the most disappointing meals I have had in a long time. Sorry to start that way, but, the wings were great, then the ribs came out, I tasted the coleslaw, and I had to spit it out, it was so bad, spoiled bad. That just ruined the rest of the meal. The waiter too the 2 coleslaws away, and said he would let the kitchen know, nothing happened... sad. We like the food but the kitchen can't keep up with the tables when they are full and they will be full on weekend evenings. Try an off night and you may have a good experience. Go during peak time and you'll probably be PO'd. The food is good, reasonably priced pub grub with a good beer selection and some acceptable wines. The guac is really good but they serve it with kettle chips which are also very good but the two don't go together. Please figure that out! The waitress made us wait over 25 minutes for our drinks and was so unapologetic. The food itself was subpar- can't say I recommend the margarita pizza. Worst part is that we asked for the pizza to go and they THREW IT AWAY. Asked if we wanted to wait for them to make a new one and we couldn't - had a party to get to and didn't have another 30 min to spare. They didn't comp the pizza -- at first it was full priced, then we complained and they didn't comp it completely - just discounted it a few dollars. Truly awful service. Had a nice half pound burger with fries tonight at the new Maggie's. The burger was really big and reasonably priced . Decor in restaurant is very tasteful and everything is brand new , including the building . I also love the thin crust pizza at their Little Falls location , but I haven't had the opportunity to try it at the Wayne location yet . In places like this I usually stick with the basic American fare, nothing fancy. If I had to guess , I would estimate about $2M invested in the place. Kind of a rarity to have a new build freestanding restaurant other than a franchise. The burger was very tasteful. One suggestion : They need happy hour appetizer specials . We wanted to try this place since it is new to the area, but we waited to come hoping the lines to get in would die down. We came on a Saturday night and expected to wait. We waited about 1/2 hour which wasn't bad. The first thing we noticed is the place is VERY loud. The decor is nice, industrial lighting looking. But there is nothing to absorb the sound. They need some curtains or sound panels because the sound is just bouncing off the walls. It's like eating in a cafeteria. After we waited about 1/2 hour we were lead to the backroom and seated by a table right next to the entrance to the kitchen. Not ideal, but what made it worse was there were several empty tables in the room which made me wonder 1 why did they put us at this horrible table and 2 why did we wait 1/2 hour when there were tables available. Our waitress came right away, but was young and inexperienced. To the owner's credit he came by shortly after we sat down and asked if we wanted to move. We hadn't asked to move, but I am happy he approached us. So we moved to the middle room. Our waiter here was on the ball. Brought us bread and water right away. We ordered and waited a fair amount of time for the food. I had the French dip. My friend had one of the hamburgers. The food was fresh and appetizing. We will try this place again. We hope they do something to reduce the amount of noise. You should give this place a try, because the food is pretty good. I think once they get the kinks out it will be even better. The only negative finding I have to address is that for all this hot and spicy food ordered , You would've Thought that at least one of the three bartenders would've proactively handed me a glass of water Without having to be asked... at one point , the bite of calamari was so caliente I started to choke and panic, I thought, this might be the end for me , And all I had to wash it down was Tito's and club . I grew up going to the Town Tavern in Little Falls. I've stuck to mostly their pizza, but after looking at the menu realized they have a wide selection! This location is much different than the original. It's definitely more modern and has a different vibe all together. There is a bar area, as well as a seating area geared more towards larger groups. What I like most about Town Tavern is there is something here for everyone, no matter what the occasion. The menu is ample in size, and features everything from pizza to ribs. read more

Overall *** Maggie's comes closer to 3.5 Stars for me and when we are looking to eat in the area I get excited about it's great design, service and value. Once I'm there though the food is generally a letdown and isn't something that makes me really want to go back. Setting **** Not the easiest to get to and without a slowdown lane off the highway getting into the parking lot can be a little scary. There is sufficient parking though especially because that behind it is a mostly vacant strip mall that can be accessed. Inside is where Maggie's shines with its tall ceilings, lots of wood and interesting lights it is sort of a cool, modernist Tavern. There are three separate rooms. A bar which offers a long wall facing bar for about 15, an equal number of high tops and lots of TV's. An acoustic guitar player fires up around 7:00 each time I was there. A larger dining room in the back and a party room that could seat about 20 completes the space. The downside to all those hard surfaces is the noise level is very high. Another minor annoyance is the bathrooms with barely functioning soap dispensers and only a single hand dryer to use. They do draw a sizable crowd for Happy Hour. Service **** The Hostess seems to get overwhelmed as Maggie's is usually busy but overall everyone I've interacted with has been friendly and knowledgeable. Food *** They have a great sounding menu but I have tried many items here and have found just about everything to be just ok. Nothing I have had feels professionally prepared it's more of a haphazard approach. Last night I had one of my favorites; Chicken, Broccoli, Sausage over Penne. Unfortunately it arrived with essentially raw Broccoli that was turning brown from sitting in the tasteless broth. It wasn't bad but needed a lot of salt and pepper to add any flavor and should have been at least tossed with Parmesan cheese if not offered table side. I shared this with my daughter as it is her favorite as well and she wanted nothing to do with it after two bites. Value **** The food prices seem very reasonable as most items are sub $20 with the highest I recall being the steak at $26. As someone who enjoys Maggies in Little Falls, I wanted to give their second restaurant in Wayne a shot. My wife and I went on a Wednesday night because we did not feel like cooking. When we walked in the door, we were amazed by the design and theme of the place. It was very relaxing and comforting. We were able to find 2 seats at the bar which we prefer. The bartender, Tony I believe, was kind and welcoming. The drinks she made us were good and met expectations. As we were looking to order food, the manager, Nick, came over to say hello because he recognized us from the Tavern in Little Falls. "Its great to see familiar faces" he said which made us feel right at home. It is great when repeat customers, although from a different venue, are recognized. He asked if we had any questions about the menu and was extremely helpful. That goes a long way in our book as great customer service is always memorable. The food we ordered was delicious! I ordered the Tavern Super Salad (I think that was the name) and my wife ordered the Lobster Ravioli. Both dishes were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, drinks, food, and customer service and we will be back. I highly recommend this place! read more

This place used to be great but the last 6 months or so the quality of food has dramatically dropped. I used to really enjoy coming here having a beer and eating. Today I ordered fried chicken slider with curly fries. I got cold chicken tenders folded in half with cold buns and the top of the fries were warm but the bottom were cold. I probably won't come back for a while as I used to love this place but something happened. Not sure if it's new ownership or management but whatever it is it has affected the quality of food dramtically. There's a ton of other local spots to enjoy. First time here last night and I was very impressed. We pulled into the parking lot on a Monday night, I was surprised by how many cars were in the lot. We walked in and it was busy. Not there's a wait busy but busy. We were sat quickly and started perusing the beverage menu. They have an excellent selection of craft beers from N.J. They also have an excellent beverage menu with lots of bourbon and whisky choices. Tito's seems to be the name brand of choice. I went with a lager beer from N.J.. It had a nice flavor and was not too strong. We then were looking at munchies and decided to get a few items and split them since this was our first time here. We landed on the Nachos for two, Tavern Pizza, Jalapeño Poppers, and Street Tacos. We were told this would be the perfect amount of grub for four people. It was a ton of food. The pizza was good. The sauce was nice and savory. The cheese was the right amount and the toppings were liberally spread out. The poppers were filled with cheddar and had a good crunch to them and were served HOT! I loved this, the cheese oozes out when you bit into them but did not drip. Perfect. The nachos were a mountain of happiness. They put the salsa and sour cream to on the side. This is great as I do not care for Sour Cream. The layers of chips had the meat, beans, olives, and cheese mixed in nicely. Sometimes you get nachos that are all topping on top and then you have chips with nothing. NOT HERE, every chip had a companion. The tacos were the most lackluster Street Tacos I have had they weren't bad, they just were boring. The short rib was flavorful. The toppings were just lettuce and tomato and nothing else. They could have used some spice or other topping. Overall I was very impressed by the service by our server. The food was overall excellent and I look forward to getting to know there huge menu better over repeat visits. read more

My husband happened to drive by and noticed this new restaurant, so we scoped it out for lunch. They have been open for seven weeks as of the time of this review. Parking was easy and plentiful around noon on a Saturday. We were immediately greeted and sat in a booth. I wanted to try the broccoli bites, but they could not be made without bacon, so we went for the mozzarella sticks. The marinara sauce which accompanies them was excellent! It tastes homemade. We were also given fresh bread, which was nice and fluffy in the middle. I ordered the veggie burger for my entree, which is a generous size and very good quality. Service was great--it was cute to see several of the employees interacting with a baby at the next booth over. The restaurant is very nicely decorated with a fancy-rustic theme and prices are reasonable. It would be nice to see more wines by the glass, as I saw only three reds available. I guess they are encouraging wine to be purchased by the bottle. :) We will be back to try the pizza! read more

I came here over the weekend with a friend of mine for a quick bite. It struck me as a little odd that the server came over to our table to take our order with a tray full of dirty dishes in her hand. I understand being busy and multitasking but I really don't want to be looking at someone else's half-eaten food and dirty napkins while I'm trying to order. She also didn't seem to know what was on the menu - we ordered their loaded cheese fries to share which come in one of two ways (with cheese, bacon, & ranch or traditional with gravy) and specified I wanted the ones with cheese and bacon to which she said "traditional?" It took me pointing it out on the menu for her to understand. My food was incredibly greasy and my chicken was very fatty. Overall the food was not very enjoyable. For over $70 with the tip for what was essentially all really "meh" bar food, I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

Man, I had high hopes for this new location. Sad to say we won't be back for a couple months. First, we went on a Sunday, they told us it was a 40 minute wait for 10 of us, even though there were tons of tables open. No problem. Then of all places they stuck us in a side room where we were squeezed. Had to get up every time someone had to go to the rest room, yes that squeezed. Then, drinks came, we all needed a round before our order was even placed. Half the items were 'not available' due to 'running out.' By 5:27pm on a Sunday?!? We then needed more drinks, which the waitress came back and said 'sorry, I didn't forget about your drinks, we're just out of cups' WTH?! Maybe it's because it's brand new? There's not enough food, cups, space for the high demand? Either way, it was crazy. Hopefully they'll be better in a couple months and we'll try this again. Disappointed. read more

I'm am so impressed by Maggie's owners and staff being so conscientious about minimizing the spread of corona virus. I live locally and we have Been coming here regularly during this mayhem! More than 21 days and not one patron has contracted anything. You know why? Because they are taking this seriously and constantly wiping down everything to avoid the spread.
