Doubles the price of boarding and does not tell you before or when you drop them off for boarding. Then the dogs come back smelling so bad that you cannot bring them inside. She does not care about the wellbeing of your animals. read more

BEWARE! Place is dirty. She will have you drop off your dog @7-8am and have the poor dog all day. Boarded my dog there (first & last time) The dog is diabetic- gave her plenty of insulin needles for 1 time use and insulin, she RE-USED THE NEEDLES! Had to throw away the insulin and buy a new bottle. I would avoid this place! read more

I'm so disappointed, today I went for the first time to this groomer, excited to be able to get a appointment considering covid and all... I was told to drop my dog after 7:30.. so 7:45 I dropped my dog... she never said how long my dog would be... at noon I called her and asked about my dog... she says she is busy... at 2:15 after 7 hours I decided to show up.. I looked in the window and my dog was on her table trembling.. she yells at me telling me I'm rushing her, telling me I need to have understanding, I'm like lady I don't know you, and you've had my dog 7 hours.. have some empathy for me, she says I worked till 9:30 last night... my feelings are who the hell cares, she made the appointments! Never again! Plus the dog is half groomed... such a shame!!!! read more

This was the first time we ever had to board our dog for a vacation. I have a 18 month old full breed boxer. He is very hyper, gets into everything and is definitely a handful. I went here after a recommendation from a friend who has always been happy with them. I visited the site a few days before and was pretty happy. The cages appeared clean and there was no immediate things that sent me running for the hills. The lady was very nice and appeared to really love her job. We dropped him off on Sunday morning and prepared to have my father-in-law pick him up the following Friday.... When he arrived to have him picked up, he immediately noticed that he STUNK LIKE SH**. That's quite understanding at first for me seeing that its a kennel and all but when the owner told my father-in-law that he pooped in his cage multiple times and had rolled in it that threw up some flags. She said that we had not agreed up front to have him bathed if this should, and did, happen. Therefor my dog, my baby, laid covered in his own feces for who knows how long, until we picked him up. His paws which should be white, were stained brown. He had almost a full body rash that he wouldn't quit scratching at and had a few very minor cuts. I completely understand how much of a handful my dog is. I knew it was going to be tough on the kennel and my pup but to see that my dog had CHUNKS of crap stuck to him because we didn't agree to have him bathed really ticked me off. I got to bathe him at 10pm that night after driving for 12 hours. Needless to say I will not be returning to this kennel. read more

We have been using this facilities for grooming for 8 years with no complaints. Less than a month ago we boarded our dogs (lab and Pom) there for 10 days while on vacation. We left them on Saturday, I called the following Tuesday and all was fine. I called again on the following Monday (leaving Florida) and was told all was fine but the dogs were being stubborn and weren't eating so she added wet food. On Tuesday, leaving North Carolina, I received a call that my Pom was found unresponsive, and rushed to my vets. I called them and was told she was brought in a half hour before, her body was cold and she was in complete renal failure (she had no history of kidney problems) they had her on a heating pad and IV fluids - a half hour later she passed! My lab could not walk when we picked him up (he is arthritic but he could walk when we left him) we took him to the vet the next day, he lost 6 pounds and I was told he would be fine with pain pills for a few days that he was just cramped up for a long time! This was a horrendous experience. BTW - the owner told me this is ONLY the fourth dog lost under her care! Beware. read more

We have used Sue's services at the Magic Donkey in Louisville for a few years now for our past and present dog. She is fantastic to work with and does a great job. We have used grooming services as well as boarding services. Even with emergency notice, she has always been able to get our dog Peepers in with no problem. Our dogs have always come back looking good and with a good disposition. The rates are extremely reasonable as well! read more

Our little rescue dog, Brittle was treated very well at Magic Donkey. Sue did a great job grooming but most importantly somehow managed to groom Brittle so she was not scared or upset. Whatever was used to bathe her smells really good too. I can't rate this groomer high enough. Our past experiences with other groomers were not very good, because little Brittle is afraid of everyone and everything, that is except for Sue at Magic Donkey. Brittle won't even let us brush her successfully. We are so happy we have finally found someone who knows how to treat dogs that need special care. Thank You. read more
