Came here on a whim, and went in to get some E-Juice, asked the guy at the counter what flavors of juices they have and he proceeded to tell me they don't sell juices, or even disposables. Over cranked my atomizer, the gentleman then was not aware that I left his store when he had my User Manual for a device I have never used before on his counter top, and then when I called back, it took calling his store five tries to call him and reach him. Love this place. Seriously excellent experience every time I come here. When it comes to anything vaping related, the employees are THE MOST informed people I have ever interacted with. I went from knowing nothing at all about vaping technology, to being able to operate, update, and if need be, fix my vape. simply from one on one consultations from the staff. BESIDES THAT, the staff are super nice and have always treated my partner and I with respect, attentiveness, and appreciation as customers. AND, I went in recently because there was something wrong and unusual with my vape that I couldnt figure out. The absolute legend gives me a whole new kit for FREE. I heard a rumor that this spot had the cheapest price for the puffco pro from my coworker. Headed down on my lunch break. I've seen it priced anywhere from 400-500 in the city. The Dragon had it for 360. Worker was cool. Told him that it was our first time and that we came here on a rumor. The worker threw in a free carb cap and told us if we wanted the puff hot knife, he could give us a break on that too. Overall, super impressed with the prices and service. Never really writes reviews but just gotta. It's a nice enough looking store and the guy working is always friendly but they literally NEVER have any reusable pods in stock. They always say there's a "shortage" but all the other shops I go to always have them. I only go to this place to check if they have them because it's very close to my house and am always disappointed because I end up having to go across town to my usual quality shops. TLDR: For anyone reading, be careful! The batteries they sell here are "made to break"! No refunds or exchanges after buying even if you never get to use it. :) I drove up from Mountain View on Friday night to hang out with friends and came in because I needed a battery for my new cartridge. Bought a eGo-CTwist battery for $35. It didn't work when I tried it but I guessed it just needed to charge, so I plugged it in to charge overnight. Woke up the next day and the top of the battery got stuck in the charger. So I drove all the way back on Sunday to exchange it and the person working told me that he wouldn't exchange it. Literally his response was that "the batteries are made to break".... Thanks! Employee continues to tell me that all smoke shops would be the same or even worse... they wouldn't even give me the time of day with my problem. I've been to lots of smoke shops and have never ran into an issue as trivial as this. Never even got to use the battery once... waste of $35. read more

Recently pulled my Fumo out of storage. It was dirty and stained. Didn't think it was safe to use. I called Magic Dragon to see what my options for cleaning were. I brought my fumo to them expecting to buy cleaning products. The guy working there cleaned our entire glass set, taught us how and didn't even charge us for the cleaning products he used. Got a cart from the local dispensary. They directed me to Magic Dragon cuz they don't sell pens at the dispensary. Walked over. The worker is super nice and hooked me up on a pen. Went home and it wasn't working. Came back and the worker gave me a loaner to use while he trouble shot the first pen. Turned out nothing was wrong with the pen. I just forgot to remove the sticker off the top of the pen. The worker let me keep the loaner, gave me the original pen and even said if I ever have issue, come back. Super good service and nice people at the shop. Most shops have a no return policy but the guy said to me: we are a shop for locals. We like everyone leaving here happy. :))))) read more

Magic Dragon Smoke Shop This place is AWESOME!! I haven't written a review in a while, and felt compelled to write this one after the many times I've been and had good service. The selection is BALLER! I really like that they have everything marked with a price tag.It lets me know that I am getting the same deal as everyone else and they aren't pricing the product by the way I look (like they do on haight). The prices are always under what I would expect to pay, especially on the water pipes and bubblers. They even have beer pong supplies now!! It's like a head shop meets Spencers. Love it! The staff is always friendly. I have only met two of them. One is a tall white guy and the other is (I think) the owner. Both of them are really cool and I usually end up leaving while laughing at one of their jokes. One time i didnt have enough and they noted that because I have been in so many times that it was ok! how about that!!! A smoke shop that has a soul!!! As for the two 1 star reviews ... I highly doubt that they threw change at you and then tried to hit you...come on. I have been in there and seen them handle some of the trash bags that you often have to deal with at smoke shops. They didnt lose their cool and the only time they stepped down from behind the counter was to ask them to leave. I stopped yelping for awhile because I often found that yelpers over exaggerate their experiences and think that when posting on a public forum, they are able to sabotage an owner's business and in some ways be able to get things for free in return for a better review. It perplexes me why people go to this extent. You can often tell vindictive customer's by how many reviews they've actually written. Sometimes, when you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. I've been a customer at this place for almost a year. I've seldom seen the same person behind the counter and thought nothing of it. After many visits and subsequent purchases I will not be a customer any longer. I stopped by the store today to exchange a torch lighter I had purchased a few weeks earlier. When I approached the counter the guy who was there insisted I didn't purchase my item there. The price tag was different and he didn't stock the brand. I asked again how had I been able to purchase it there if that was true. He stated he was the only salesperson there with the exception of a guy that works on Sunday. He was very defensive and got irritated when other customers entered the shop. He ignored me to make sales and as I left he assured me I had not in fact made the purchase there because if I had he would have been more than happy to help me. I'm not crazy and I'm not a baked idiot. This place is shady as hell. He had employees stocking the shelves and selling their own personal stock. Period. Honestly, this place has SOME@! nice glass, but stupid pricing. And the customer service here is rude. I've seen the manager, just kicking back, not giving a fuck- I may look like a bum, but in fact I do appreciate good customer service. I go here a lot and he wont even hook it up if i am a couple pennies short. He is always trying to make an extra buck- you can tell. He shows no interest in to the customers- ultimately we SMOKERS want to get our smoke on. He just wants to get his fucking money- it is a greedy smoke shop, which makes me wonder if he's a smoker or just another money hungry punk. THis place is a hell hole. Everything they sell breaks. Everything I bought here was junk overpriced and broke. A electric grinder twice as expensive as haight street smoke shops and all smoke shops. This area NEEDED a smoke shop, so thankfully Magic Dragon is here! Of course, they have everything you need from papers, to blunt wraps, to pipes, to bongs, and the people that work there are always VERY cool and helpful. And they're filling a gap in the market, their prices aren't very "competitive," but I wouldn't go as far as calling them expensive or overpriced, if that makes sense. If you're showing for a big new glass piece, I would just go to the Haight unless you're in a hurry. I treat this place more like a convenience store: "Shit! I'm out of papers!" or "Dammit! My downstem broke!" As far as quality goes though, this place takes care to have good inventory as opposed to discount smoke shops with cheap and ugly-looking pipes. They also sell this hemp energy drink called Chillo that gets you really energized without feeling twitchy. I'm really sensitive to caffeiene, and I liked the Chillo a lot! Tastes like Red Bull, but just makes you feel, well, awake (as opposed to twacked out). read more

I walked into magic dragon the other day. I was surprised cuz they had over 50 brands of American glass. This place is definitely not one of the shady shops u see in the Mission. They sell top notch glass. The guy there greeted me. I told him it was my birthday and he knocked 20% off the price of an illadelph. It was a platinum edition illadelph which I should not find any where! Took it home and it hits like a champ! I love smoke shops and this is one of the most organized, clean and friendly shops in the area. Location is awesome because of parking and close to the university. But the most important thing for me is pricing and what they have in stock. I am actually amazed that anyone would give this place a negative review. I do the Michael Bauer test of going to a place at least 3 times before giving it a critique. I have been to the magic dragon a handful of times and conducted each transaction seamlessly.
