As the summer is approaching the girlies know it's time to get the hair braided. Unfortunately, now there are so many stylist to choose from but you're not always guarenteed a great finished product. With that said I came across Magic Fingers Braiding on TikTok and was so impressed with what I saw that I decided I would give them a try. I'm so glad that I did because my medium waist length knotless braids turned out so cute. I've literally receieve compliments every time I'm out. From the moment I walked in the door (which was around 7:05 am on a Friday morning) I was greeted with a warm smile and asked what style I would like to get. Once we determined the style I was escorted to the back to select the color of hair that I wanted. While I keep mine the natural color of my hair they did offer a variety of colors for those who like to add a little razzle dazzle. I was then seated and by 7:15 they started parting and braiding. I can't believe I was done by 9:15 am, yes you read that right only two hours for waist length medium knotless braids. This may be my new go-to place for braids in the D[M]V. read more

Super over priced . I paid 340 for a couple of box braids I wish so bad I gave some other company money instead . Second time coming to the salon and they did my hair the first time it was great, but when I came back for the second time, the service was was ok. Even if I had two people on my head, it took longer than the first time I had two people on my head. The reason why it took longer this time is because it felt like no one knew what they were doing. They had to have everyone around me to figure out how to do my hair. They literally took braids out and redo it two times. It was a confusing situation overall I do like my hair, but I'm not sure if I would come back. read more

Came across the business on TikTok and decided to give it a try. I absolutely loved my entire experience. From the moment I walked into the door, I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome from multiple stylists. I arrived at 6am on a Friday and was the first customer of the day. They asked me what style I wanted. I got the boho medium knotless braids. I was told a price and agreed. They allowed me to choose my hair color and took me to a work station. They prepared the hair and by 6:45am 2 stylists were working on me. One person braided the front, and one person braided the back. They gave me a mirror so I could check the back of my hair. I absolutely loved it!!!! I was walking out the door at 9:30am!!!! I will be coming here from now on!!!! It's only 15 mins from my home and the service I received here was much better than all the other braiding salons I've ever been to! read more

Everything seemed normal until I sat down , felt like a horror story. I had a lady name Joelle I tried my best to remember that name due to the disrespect she has for the owner and the customer . The woman was funky smelled and reek I can understand a long day but not when you are expecting to have my head closed to your body. She started talking about my hair and what she was willing to do and not to ... telling her coworkers that they should do whatever size to customer hair because we can't see the back to telling her coworkers that she is doing whatever on my hair and would fake good braids in the front . She was singing in my ear shouting talking loud not knowing I also spoke her language and understood everything being said. I won't be coming back at all ! This place was clean, organized and efficient. I had my hair washed, blown out and braided. I went in at 7 am and was done by 12:30pm. Everyone was kind and professional. Being that this was my first time getting my hair braided, I think it went well. I would definitely wash my hair in advance, as I don't think there was a lot of care placed on conditioning and heat protection prior blowing my hair out. Also, their blow outs were rough (I.e. no parting/sectioning, conditioner or oils applied to the scalp, etc.) and it just felt rough. I'm not tender headed, btw. Very friendly!! I came in around 6:00 so it wasn't the cleanest bc I'm sure they were doing other peoples hair during the day. I paid 80$ for 1/2 head of "stitch" braids, which was expensive bc it was for a 9yo girl. We didn't leave til almost 8pm. I don't think the stylist knew how to do stitch braids but she tried her best... the braids are messy, the lines aren't even and like I said it's definitely not stitch braiding. The women were all nice, but if I'm paying $80 I would expect it to be exactly how the picture looks. If you look at my daughter's braids you'll see... they do have a sign that says if you're not happy with the braids let the stylist know. But at this point (2 hours in), & (it was also my daughters birthday), I was ready to go and she had school tomorrow so I was not going to wait another 2 hours for her to redo it... although they were friendly, we will NOT be returning. i would recommend this salon - i traveled from alexandria to get my hair done here. i got smedium knotless they did a nice job but it's been two weeks since i got them i will say that ive spray my braids and my hair is coming out of the shaft. i never had that happen with me when ive gotten braids done ... ever. i'm not sure if it was because they had an extra girl helping out who was barely paying attention. maybe it was lack of product ? i don't know. i am considering trying another place out before returning here. read more
