I got the burger basket with onion rings for $8 or $9 which means it's a decent price and the food also was good so victory was mine. I got a little side of southwest rolls which were surprisingly tasty for $7 I think? Sweet tea was properly sweet and refreshing. My bartender/server/human relations manager was nice and friendly. From the moment we sat down, our server was unwelcoming and had an attitude throughout our visit. I even gave him my ID, which he kept until we were leaving, and despite knowing we were celebrating my birthday, there was no acknowledgment of it whatsoever. The service itself was also frustrating. My mother had to cancel her order because the rest of us had already received our food and finished eating while she was still waiting for hers. When she requested to cancel it, the server's attitude made an already frustrating situation worse. I also asked for seasoning for my fries. When I later called to speak with a manager about the experience, I explained that the server's attitude became even more noticeable after I made that request. Instead of listening to my concerns, the manager interrupted me and told me that my fries were seasoned. She was not at the restaurant during our visit, was not at our table, and did not eat my meal, so I found it extremely dismissive for her to tell me what my experience was instead of listening to what I was explaining. I told her that the overall interaction felt passive-aggressive and unwelcoming. Her response was essentially that we didn't get treated the way we wanted to be treated because I couldn't list every single word the server said. At one point, she even said, "Oh, I see why he had a problem." That response was incredibly disappointing because I called specifically hoping management would hear my concerns and address them--not defend the employee or invalidate my experience. I also asked for the owner's contact information because I wanted to escalate my concerns, and she told me that she was the owner. However, she wasn't present during our visit, so she couldn't personally speak to what happened at our table. To be fair, there was a female server who was very polite and pleasant, so I don't believe every employee at this establishment provided poor service. Unfortunately, our direct experience with our server and the way management handled our complaint overshadowed everything. This was supposed to be a birthday celebration with my family, and instead I left feeling disrespected and disappointed. Customers shouldn't have to argue with management to have their concerns acknowledged. I hope the establishment takes a serious look at how both customers and complaints are being handled.
