Service has gone down significantly in the last couple of years. Tonight I had to ask for part of my drink order (it was poured and never delivered). We ordered 2 appetizers and a grain bowl to split. Appetizers are out quickly and were good. Our grain bowl never showed up. We finally asked the bartender if we could have it to go and she explained that it was on the ticket but never made. She went back to make it herself and brought it in a to go container. When we got home it was essentially a side salad missing the fundamental ingredient...grain. It was also missing several other ingredients. It blows my mind that we ordered 5 things, 2 were messed up, and we were charged for all of it. We got a half apology and a full priced bill. read more

Wish I could give a real review, but we left without any service. Stood at hostess stand for 10 minutes on a Sunday, employees walking by us Ignoring us. Asked the bartender if there was a hostess or if we could sit, we're told to wait... several more minutes. Hostess came up, surly, and seemed put out to seat us. Never brought silverware, no waitstaff approached. Restaurant was approximately half full. Too many good options in Rome to put up with that. read more

Had so much fun visiting this spot! Came here with my niece and nephew while in town and they were right, this is a good time! Part of the the Harvest Moon Café restaurant, The Dark Side of the Moon is the bar area which hosts live music, food, and a large area in the back with corn hole games set up. You can definitely have a lot of fun hanging out here. Full bar and food menu as well. But the real fun happens upstairs at the Moon Roof. It's small room with some tables and tiny full bar for your drink service. They have different activities occurring each nigh. We went on a Tuesday night for karaoke. It was jampacked full of people and everyone having a lot of fun. Plus, every person in that bar was completely friendly, talking to each other hanging out, and just having a good time. There was no judgment, nobody making fun of anyone, singing karaoke, nothing like that. It was a perfect spot to have a great fun night! I would definitely recommend hanging out here. As an out of towner I was welcomed and made to feel right at home with the rest of the crowd. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in town! read more

In Rome Ga for the day and looked on Yelp for a place to eat. Dark Side of the Moon was the top hit so we went in. And it definitely is the place to go in town! We were warmly welcomed by the bartenders and served with friendliness and good conversation. Joe was great! Attentive service and even gave us a visitors guide to look at. Food was super! Fried Green Tomatoes are Amazing! Though the main restaurant was closed they made a great veggie salad for me and my boyfriend really enjoyed the fish and chips. Stoked! read more

We were visiting our cousins from New Jersey. Last night we sat at the bar and the bartender comes up to us and says "sorry i cant serve you they told me you were cut off upstairs" im like what?? I just got here I havent even ordered a drink? Im sober? He was like "oh your right wrong people" Im like alright? I then order a sparkling water and was with my 26 year old sister. We set our IDS down at the bar incase I wanted a drink in the long run. He picks up my ID and says "sorry I dont feel comfortable serving you" im like why? What do you mean? He said these IDs seem fake. Im like do you need to see another form of ID? I showed him my 4 credit cards, my health insurance card, my passport and my medical ID card. It wasn't enough for them. In this day and age this should not be happening its very simple to ask for another form of ID or scan the ID itself. We asked to speak to the owner and he himself told the bartender that the IDs were real and why did he think they were fake? He said "they just look weird". He also had the audacity to ask me why im traveling with my passport. It is because of people like y'all thats why I travel with my passport especially to a Red State! We are from NEW JERSEY we have licenses from that state. However the owner decided we were being rude and asked us to leave. That's fine we left but I filed a complaint with the department of justice and named 11 witnesses. Be aware of the businesses you want to give your money to. There are better places to go. read more

There's so much more to a dining experience than the food. Dark Side of the The Moon was just what we were looking for after a long day of travel on a Sunday night. Brian and Ivan were close to winding down for the day and ended up staying around, talking with us, sharing stories about wine, Rome, the travel industry and their lives as if we'd known each other forever. And though the kitchen was closed, they foraged some AMAZING chocolate cake and celery + dip for us to curb the hunger that had developed over the day. We ended up visiting another night for huge, tasty burgers and on our last night, stopped in to see the open mic night up on the roof deck and had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Jenny and her husband (ugh, names are my toughest!). Jenny had a story to tell and as a podcaster, I could barely contain myself! Dark Side of the Moon was memorable, delicious and engaging. Highly recommended :) read more

The food here was decent. It seems a bit overpriced for what it is. It is priced like an upscale place but even the restaurant side isn't super formal. I would return here and probably try something different and see if I had the same experience. read more

I wish I could have seen this place pre covid. When I went it was kinda empty though I guess it should be given I went earlier in the day and well; covid. However the staff was friendly and helped me pick out from the local beers. Cant go wrong with that. When I was looking for a place to spend my last afternoon in Georgia I didnt realize this place was connected to Harvest Moon which is a nice cafe with an amazing burger that I am sure to write a review about next. IF you are driving through or living here I would definitely give it a stop. You cant beat a combo like this read more

Ok so sort of a cool place. Went in on a Tuesday night. Not busy. Hipster staff ok I get that, not my thing but don't care. Beer was good. I ordered some crab cakes with my beer. Came out promptly but guess what. Was never asked how it was or do you need salt/pepper? I got the impression because I didn't have a beard with glasses and a plaid shirt then my dollar wasn't good enough. Maybe the owner will read and realize that capitalism is boss. read more

I'm an early bird, and I'm not single and ready to mingle. If you like being out late and love rubbing elbows with smartly dressed young people, go on Friday or Saturday night. If you are not looking for those things, come in on Monday or Tuesday night. On Monday, they have a limited food menu, but they have creative $1 tacos. On Tuesday, they have the whole menu and live jazz. The bartenders are really into crafting a cocktail and not just 'making' it. They are always willing to discuss their cocktails and taps. I had an enjoyable time at Dark Side Of The Moon. I was glad to find this hidden gem tucked away on Broad St. I wish they had more of an appetizer type menu to have snacks with my adult beverage (only reason they aren't getting 5 stars).
