Was having trouble getting a spare key made for the security screen at home. I called Magic Key Locksmiths and they were at my house within a few hours and weable to make keys without any issues. Very helpful, friendly and prompt service. I will be happy to use this company again and recommend to all my friends and family. I'm updating my previous review due to follow up service today after my last experience. The replacement keys they made for me broke off in the lock so I called for info on how we could get this fixed (replace entire lock, etc) and they told me someone was on their way even though I didn't request service, I only wanted info. When the man arrived he told me it would be $85 to remove the key plus a $19 service call fee even though nobody informed me of a service call fee. I saved the $85 and had my neighbor remove the key for FREE but still had to pay a $19 service call fee. THEN they told me I would have to go directly to Henley's for the new replacement keys since they couldn't actually make proper replacements (when they first came out the man modified/cut wrong keys in order to make them work for the lock). I'm really unhappy about having to pay a fee to have them come out and not even do anything all because they made me keys 6 months ago when they really had no business doing so. I'll be contacting Henley's for my replacement keys and cutting out the middle man going forward. read more

I had what these locksmiths called "the hardest lockout case they've ever seen". Absolutely true, and they handled it with kindness and determination; not to mention, they showed up almost immediately after my request for emergency help. I won't explain the whole situation for security purposes, but essentially was locked out to where the only way in was through a huge locked garage door. I had used Magic Key (Chris specifically) previously when I moved in to get new locks, and I knew this team was the right one to call. It was a tough situation, and Chris came out to help and was just a champ. The owner also came to help (... WOW, that IS service!) and eventually we got it figured out. In all my panic, I had called a couple garage door specialty companies to figure out what to do... they were quoting me at around $200-$300 for someone to come an hour or two later... I said no thanks to them and thank goodness I did. Magic Key only charged me $100 for what was 2 hours out of their day, on top of showing up immediately when called. After I lost my only key to my 2013 Ford Raptor, I called about 7 different locksmiths in Colorado Springs. Magic Key was the most affordable, and only charged a flat fee for the key. No extra costs for keyless-entry. He also didn't charge me anything for the trip (I live in Woodland Park 30 miles away). And he was able to do the job right away. The locksmith was very friendly and professional. Cutting the key and programming the new transponder took about 10min and the key works perfectly. He even gave me a jumpstart, since my battery was dead after sitting for 2 weeks (while I searched for the key). I initially called Ford. They told me I would have to pay to have the car towed to the closest dealership ($131.50), purchase a minimum of 2 keys ($125 x 2), and pay a programming fee ($95). A total of about $500 after tax!!! I am very happy I called Magic Key, and will be keeping his number handy. read more

I'd contacted several other locksmiths (and the Subaru dealership itself) prior to finding Magic Key. Wish I'd called Magic Key first! Only one of the businesses I'd reached out to even responded and then they made it sound like they'd rather do almost anything that work on my Subaru key fobs. Magic Key, however, was friendly, responsive, honest, very knowledgeable, on time, worked diligently to get our fob programmed and then went above and beyond when making us a spare key by using a beefed-up version because our lock cylinder was a little sticky and the additional leverage would be helpful. I purchased a used 2006 Scion tC with only one key. I tend to lose keys and I went in search of getting a few new keys. Starting at the dealership $250 just for the key and no programming. I figured I'd DIY with an Amazon set of keys. FAIL. Local locksmiths were wanting $160 just to program those keys and and no guarantee that the final product would work. Finally I get a hold of Magic Key, very polite prices were very reasonable and was available on my schedule. He explained my DIY keys had the wrong chip, helped me find the right chip set, ordered them for me and set up everything up for less than half of the other "businesses". They were able to accommodate an appointment for the same day and Chris was nice enough to give me a heads up when he was on the way. He was extremely professional, courteous, and efficient - rekeyed 3 doors in about 15 minutes. Even better, I asked for additional help with replacing a storm door lock and he was more than helpful. He went out of his way to mix and match pieces of the new and existing lock to make it work and ended up charging me a lot less than I expected. Incredible customer service! Magic Key was awesome! I needed the lock replaced on my front door and these guys were at my house within 35 min of my call... The lock was replaced no joke in about 1 1/2 minutes. The tech worked very quickly and professionally and even tested the lock out multiple times. When it didn't lock and unlock smoothly he fixed the problem, free of charge. All in all it took a little more than 15 min and my door is better than new! I called Magic Key Locksmiths after calling 5 other 24/7 locksmiths in town. The other places that I called told me that they would not be able to come out until the following day. I had lost the only key for my vehicle and unfortunately the next day would not work for me. Yaron was at my vehicle within 20 minutes! He was very polite and charged me $125 to make and program a new key for me. Other companies that I called ranged from $145 to $265. Yaron came out when he said he would, and made a new key for my car after I lost all of them. He should have been able to use the VIN number, but it didn't work (problem with Subaru, maybe?), so he had to open up the door lock and visually determine the key shape! He spent a good amount of time (more than he expected), but was polite and thorough. PLUS...I had called other locksmiths and they all referred me to the dealer, who was going to charge me a lot more and would not come out to my car, meaning I would also have to pay to tow it 50 miles. read more

We were stuck in Peyton on a road trip across the country because we were locked out of our van. I was looking around for local lock smith's that offered lockout sevrices and the first few seemed kind of shady. I reached out to this company though and got a fast response at 10:30 pm and the owner himself was there within 20 minutes to unlock it. Quick, honest, and professional. Very prompt, friendly, skilled. I got a call confirming my address, which was very wise considering the first address was wrong and fairly far from my home. The lock itself proved rather stubborn, but Christopher had the tools and knowledge to still get in. Fantastic!! He made and programmed my chip key ,a spare key and programmed my key FOBs (I ordered those on Amazon) in less then 30 minutes and it was $175. If you have a transponder/chip key you know how much they can be and what a pain it is to find someone to program them. This guy is super professional,really nice and efficient. I called late Monday night because I locked my keys in my vehicle at Walmart. I got a call back from some guy with an out of state phone number named Brent. He said he was in his way to help us. He called us back after a bit and we then realized this guy was drunk. We ended up canceling them and having to call another company and waiting another hour! Completely unprofessional! Yarn responded immediately onto a military and was able to make a key for my Ford Taurus when I lost my key. Very good prices but this is not a cheap locksmith service, they do very good work. They programmed a chip key for me that the dealer was unable to do. They are also able to get on Fort Carson and make programmed keys, which I could not find any other locksmith to do on a Sunday.
