I love this place. I started going to Magic Nails in 2004 when my husband retired from the military here. They are now up to 6 types of manicures and pedicures, ranging from 25 minutes to an hour. I can run in for a quick pedicure, or kick back and take my time. It's wonderful to have the choice. I also get acrylic nails from time to time. I sometimes give massages with my job in physical therapy, and they know my nails have to be "working" length. They keep the salon clean. There are TWO medical autoclaves for sterilizing instruments, and they never reuse the paraffin after manicure and pedicure dips. They are throwing away any instrument that can't be sterilized. It may seem wasteful, but it's the price to pay for making sure people are safe from bacteria or fungus. That is an issue at a lot of other nail salons. I need to comment on some of the reviews I read. All I can say is, Magic Nails is a salon genuinely wanting to give clients a relaxing experience. Massage chairs are expensive. Magic Nails has two reclining chairs, and most of the pedicure chairs are massage chairs! That goes way beyond what is expected when getting a manicure, pedicure or acrylic nails at any nail salon. Some people don't like the massage chairs. The controls are there for the client to choose the massage type or turn it off. Geesh! And nails chipping quickly after a manicure? If you have your hands in water a lot, or you use your nails as tools, guess what? The nail polish chips! That is not a sign of a substandard manicure. Nail polish sticks to acrylic much better. They guarantee their nails for three days anyway. If you chip, they'll fix it if you bring in your receipt. Finally, being FORCED to pay for the service before they polish your nails. I had to laugh at that one. I have lived so many places and been to many nail salons. I was FORCED to pay before my nails were painted at every one of them. They don't need to waste your time and put themselves behind by having to repaint your nails because you messed them up getting your wallet and keys. The owner Lee runs a tight ship. If you're over 5 minutes late, you could lose your spot if they're busy. I actually did that at my first appointment back in 2004. Maybe I should complain about that. Ha!! My bad. I learned, and I respect the desire to keep others from having to wait because of one person. They get very busy, especially at the end of the week and on Saturdays. I have been on time ever since. I had a great experience with Magic Nail & Spa. The staff was very courteous and was willing to make all accommodations to make sure that I was comfortable. The staff there is also incredibly knowledgeable so I didn't worry about getting some halfway decent paint job that I would be embarrassed to show off to my co-workers. After I had my hands and feet pampered I felt like a million dollars and my nails looked great until they grew out and I had to have them filled in. I have recommended Magic Nail & Spa to all of my family and friends and I even sometimes go with a group of my friends for a little 'spa getaway' from the husband and kids. Magic Nail & Spa is in O'Fallon, Illinois so it's close to you no matter where you are in Metro East St. Louis so please give them a try, and it's worth traveling across the country if you have to. The price is also very competitive and a lot cheaper than some of the chain nail salons especially the ones located in malls. I don't understand the issues that the lady previously posted because it sounds like she doesn't like to get manicures or pedicures anyways, so going anywhere for her would have been 'torture'. I have been a client at Magic Nails and Spa in O'Fallon, IL ever since it has been opened. It is the friendliest shop I have ever went to. Every worker there goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful to their clients. They always take their time with your nails. They do exactly what I always want. I have my fingernails, pedicures, and eyebrows done there everytime i need them done, which is every other Friday. I know when i go in there ,the shop will be spotless. This is the one thing I looked for when I started getting my nails and toes done. I have watched them scrub the pedicure tubs and the chairs after every pedicure. The pedicure chairs massage your backs and your whole body, really. The massage chairs make you feel like you have been to the chiropractor (it's a good thing). I love them dipping my feet in hot parrafin wax after my toes are done drying. It makes my feet so soft! They can also dip your hands if you ask them (for a small charge). This is the best shop i have ever been and i would and have recommended it to all my friends or anyone who ask me where do you get your nails done. Love them....alot! read more

There is nothing better than a quick escape to Magic Nails and Spa. Their high-tech chairs are the perfect thing to relax me after a long day. I am an out of town visitor and was in need to get my nails done for a party. I found this place through Google and gave them a call hopefully I can get an appointment since it's weekend and most places are busy. Luckily they were able to fit me in. I tried the full set IBD gel for the first time, and it turned out really great! My technician patiently helped me to pick out the color and I love it! The service is good, the price is reasonable and everyone is friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this place. read more
