as I was waiting for the man shop to open up I had noticed magic nails was open and simply asked if I may use the rest room while I wait for the place next door to open up and was treated as if I was an unwelcomed criminal granted I was not trying to have service done there I feel as tho I should not have been turned away my wife and my daughters do have there nails done often and because of this short experience with magic nails I will not be using this establishment. read more

The man who did my gel manicure multiple times ground into my nail bed and it hurt so I reacted a few times then he said since I'm so sensitive he put both my hands in bowl of nail polish remover. He then scraped off the old gel but not completely. I have short nails so he didn't need to shape just polish and trim cuticles. My nails are so bad there are a couple that have split so he put extra coat of something clear on them before beginning gel polish. The gel was bubbling so he had me put that hand into other light. He finished the polishing and rubbed my hands with lotion. He clearly had a cold so was continually sniffling and clearing his throat with occasional cough. I am not in good health so am leary of sick people. I should have asked for someone else to do my manicure from the beginning. Since the bubbles of gel didnt get dealt with my manicure has scraped off, it is still soft and has bubbles where it's still intact. He was not friendly and all the workers have conversations among themselves which customers cannot understand, as is the usual in salons. I would not give any stars if possible, but have had a good manicure in the past there. Maybe different owners now. read more

Well, it was the third place I tried going too get my nails fixed because all the other nail companies would not take any walk-ins. I walked into Magic nails the one of the ladies was very nice and approachable the other staff members were very grouchy did not talk to their clients had a very bad attitude the only thing that was good about it is that they were able to get me in but did not do exactly that I want it done the guy was very rude when I try to ask him if he would shorten my nails he did not I went home the next day my nails were all messed up the nail polish was extremely caked on and peeled right a way, And they also did not ask me if I wanted any other services just did what I asked didn't ask if I needed anything else like a pedicure that I wanted done Will most likely only go back there if I need a quick fix on my nails other than that will not be going back read more

Nothing wrong with the greeting of the environment. one o the women acted as if they didn't want to do my nails and overlooked me to reach another customer and I didn't think anything of it. I went in the salon a next time and the same worker did the same thing, but this time she had to do my nails, she didn't seem to like me at all. I'm Native American and a plus size model. she seemed upset to be doing my pedicure. I don't know her name but she didnt have my nails completely done but shooed me to the paying counter as if she was done. I even left her a tip when I very well shouldnt have. I am always looking for a great nail tech. Well my friend and I only go here now. Trina and Charlie are AMAZING!!!! I always go to Trina. She makes my nails look so amazing with the weird requests I want in designs. This time around I asked for a slytherin theme. Omg it looked amazing. She made it just the way I wanted it was amazing. She never nixs my skin. She always makes sure my nails are to my liking and if i dont like it she takes it off and starts over. Charlie always does my friends nails. My friend asked for blue and black with the moon and stars on all of them it was beautiful and charlie did amazing it was so elegant looking. I have used nail salons for over 40 years. I happened to wander into Magic Nails after my salon had to cancel. They have great massage chairs. The pedicure was one of the best I have ever had. Everything was clean and sanitized. My manicure was great. Will definitely be my new go to nail salon. Love that I can just drop in without the hassle of appointments. read more

I've been here a few times over the course of a couple months. Had pink & white done, shellac on nails & toes & acrylic. Appointments with Nora & Tammy. Both were good. I've never heard many complaints about the techs though, so I'd give anyone a chance. This seems to be the best place in Great Falls. I've never seen them not busy... I've seen elegant nails to ghetto nails, so whatever you're style. They have A LOT of options. Most military show up here & I've seen men regularly; happy to see more men getting into taking care of themselves. I like to see a guy getting a pedicure or an eyebrow wax; shows he cares about himself. read more

No, no, no. Maybe its because I live on the east coast and there is actually competition making you do your job, but I have been here twice now and I just can't again. Its the whole fool me once thing... First time was just pedicures. I was terrified at the price. This time was both. I brought in my own gel polish and they only gave me a $5 discount. She rushed through my feet and didn't even bother to help me put my sandals back on our roll down my pants back to normal. I sat at a very dirty space and was horrified to see her own nails were atrocious. Talk about bad advertising. I looked at the girl working next to her and hers were just as bad. How is that ok? She also rushed through the manicure and was super sloppy. Then the top coat was all over my fingers and she didnt even file them for a finish. Terrible experience. Worst part? My bill was $70. My sister in law and I were visiting from out of town and decided to get pedicures. We were just driving down 10th looking for a place and hoping we'd find one that wouldn't give us some sort of toe infection and stumbled into this place. We were both very impressed. For starters, it is huge! They have eight pedicure chairs, all with fancy massagers! Secondly, the technicians are extremely friendly and very good! I was a little turned off by the fact that my pedicurist didn't really speak much English. It would have been nice for her to understand me and my joke about callouses on my feet. We got there at 6:15 and their hours only go until seven so I was surprised that they even took us. Towards the end they got distracted by one of the technicians children and no English was spoken in the salon for a good fifteen minutes. It was a little awkward. All in all this place was pretty great. My sister in laws pedicurist was able to fix her ingrown toe nail with no complaining on his part! The price was a little steep for what I'm used to, 35 dollars. In summary, a friendly place with a good selection of polishes but if you're looking to converse with your technician, beware! read more

They do a great job, but definitely busy and they let you know. Both times I have been in I have asked for pedicure and manicure but have only received a pedicure. The first time I reminded them but they didn't have time due to other people having appts. The second time I did not remind them and just left. It's a little disappointing considering this is the only thing I really "treat" myself with. Probably will not be returning. read more

I have probably never been so disappointed in services provided as with this experience with Magic Nails. I am actually only in town for a short period of time. I would like to preface this review with the fact that I get regular no-chip manicures and pedicures (twice a month). As I am only in Great Falls for a short period of time as I transition from Chicago to San Francisco, the time frame necessitated a nail appointment. Although the staff was friendly at the time of the visit, I was horrified at the end product. As you can see by the attached pictures, it would appear that a five year old painted my nails. I was not paying as close of attention as I should have as I was trying to relax. However the services provided are completely UNACCEPTABLE. The shop was full yesterday when I was leaving, and I did not want to create a scene. I also felt poorly for the technician at having such poor skills. However, after leaving and realizing that I completely overpaid $65 for services that weren't worth $5. After stewing, I called and left a message last night. I did not receive a return phone call to address my concerns. Therefore, I just called the shop back just now. I asked to speak to the manager, and I believe that he said "James is not here" and then slammed down the phone. So not only are their technical services subpar, their customer service skills are lacking. I have never received such unprofessional services nor be treated in such an unprofessional manner. I walked in on a weekday afternoon around 2:30. It was a mess. Empty yogurt containers (there's a yogurt place next door) and fast food drink cups greeted me first. Then someone yelled over, "can we help you?". I just wanted a polish change, so they told me to pick a color. That's when I realized that the place was a disorganized dump. The polish bottles are randomly sitting on 3 different shelf/rounders... nope, not in any sort of color order or 'no chip' categorical order. Really? A nail salon and you can't even do THAT? Yuck. I sat there for about 10 minutes trying to decide if I should leave or just get the polish change, since I had already spent the time driving over (on a friend's recommendation). I left.
