Over time, a strange issue developed--a small hole appeared in the middle of the driveway and expanded into a 4-inch-long tunnel. After consulting several people, the consensus was that it might have been caused by a collapsed chipmunk tunnel beneath the surface. As the hole grew and became a safety concern, I contacted multiple companies for quotes. I ultimately chose Pave Star because they seemed the most knowledgeable and genuinely committed to customer satisfaction--and I'm thrilled with the results! The team cut out a larger rectangular section around the affected area and repaired it meticulously. While any driveway patch will always be somewhat noticeable, their work is exceptional. The job was performed before there were any interior walls installed in the construction process to ensure the easiest and most open access for the polishers. Mark ASSURED us that upon completion of our construction he would return to refine detailed areas around the walls and timber frame bases. The overall quality of the work was ATROCIOUS. The defects shown--surface dullness, clearly unpolished patches, edge inconsistencies, swirling--fall below what any reasonable customer would consider acceptable and are not simply cosmetic variations due to substrate conditions. They reflect inadequate workmanship or insufficient finishing steps. When Mark returned to the site, we had done research through platforms like YouTube to become more knowledgeable to standard practices of the trade, and made him aware of the obvious faults that needed to be fixed. He then told us that there was nothing that he would do to remedy the errors, went back on his promise to refine the exterior, swore at us, and left the property. This destroyed any trust we could have ever had with his company. We're now being forced to pursue legal action in Saratoga county.

I had to sue Clark Myers to force them to finish the job. At this point, they did everything up to the actual paving. As soon as they received the paperwork from the Scotia Town Court, their lawyer contacted me. If I withdraw the lawsuit, Clark Myer will finish the job.

I have cracks and depressions in different areas already! This was the first time we paved our driveway. It was just crush for years and we decided to spend the money to pave it. We got quoted from several different contractors and Tri-city was paving our neighbors driveway so we decided to go with them. They were a bit unprofessional yelling at each other when doing the job. Apparently there were some disagreements. They underestimated the amount of paving they needed and ended up having to get an additional truckload. I think they tried to squeeze what they had over a broader area than they should have. They left a very visible seam in one section and told us the sealcoating would take care of it. That is where some of the cracks have appeared. We had weeds coming up along the edge of pavement and a significant depression in one section after the first summer. This year we have visible cracks. My advice is to go with another contractor!
