I was excited about this place, especially with it being so close to where I live. However, I was disappointed. The ambience was very nice as was the crowd. The charcuterie board was good but I wish they offered more bread considering the amount of meat and cheese we got. My issue was the wine, which is a pretty big issue seeing as it's a wine bar. We'd had 2 bottles of wine, however, none of us really liked them. I am a wine person and I have a pretty wide palate and it's very unlikely that I dislike a wine (although I don't waste wine, so I'll still drink it. LOL). They (one white, one rose) were light, lacked complexity, dry. From what I saw, this place only has European wines (I saw Italian and French). My wine knowledge is better than average, but I'm not so comfortable in this area. This is where I'd turn to the expertise of the staff. We decided to go for a third bottle, which I went to pick. I explained to the woman at the register the dislikes about the first two and what I was looking for in hopes that she could guide me to the perfect wine. When she said, "Well, they tell me I should suggest this one..." that should have been my sign to forego the last bottle. But I went ahead and got what she recommended. Sadly, it was on par with the rest. As we were leaving we chatted with the people taking our table about the wine saying we couldn't find one we liked. They agreed and offered me a taste of theirs. Before I could say anything, they'd poured me a full glass. I can see why they wanted to get rid of it... it was not good either!! Same profile as the others. So at that point I was convinced that this place offered only a narrow variety of wine styles and that's it. I imagined the owner stocking this place with his/her specific and narrow preference rather than for different palates. I'm discerning when it comes to what I eat and drink. It will always come first over ambience or anything else about an establishment. That being said, I don't see myself coming back here unless I find out something has changed with their wine offerings and/or staff expertise. IF by chance there's a wine I like, I'm not interested in taking $55+/bottle guesses until I find it. When I want my wine fix, I'll stick with the other wine bar we all know with the extremely knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices. read more

This is easily one of the best new hot spots in Miami. From the staff, to the wine and snack selection, this place has it all if you're looking for a cool spot to hang with the crew. They also collab with some amazing up and coming Miami businesses. I've been on several nights where they've hosted vintage pop ups, tarot card readings, and even vinyl hifi listening experiences. How utterly disappointing. We were really excited to try this wine bar. First of all they do not offer wines by the glass - this was a bit of a let down but not a deal breaker by any means. They have some bottles in a fridge along with a variation of meats and cheeses that you can plate together. They also have some non chilled bottles near the counter. We settled on a bottle of italian sparkling and took it up to the counter to pay. We spent probably 10 minutes looking at bottles with no one really there to help or offer suggestions or talk about the wines. It was early and not busy at this time. We got our bottle and sat down at a table. I had to go and look for a bottle cooler and ice. What struck me is that nobody came by once the whole time we were sitting there to ask how our wine was or show any enthusiasm. You would think there would be some excitement or attempt to bring customers back especially as this was probably the 2nd day it was open. When we ended up leaving, the place was packed. I went yesterday for a friend's birthday. It's a really intimate cozy spot, the workers were lovely and answered all questions a first timer like myself had with a pleasing attitude, they were lovely people with a big bright smile. Happy Hour consists of a bottle of wine of your choice under $50 and it comes with a complimentary charcuterie (2 meats, 2 cheeses(chefs choice) we received mortadella, I assume prosciutto or jamón serrano, 2 hard cheeses that I could've asked about but I was enjoying the moment, one has mustard grains in it, both were good semi-hard cheeses. Assorted with crostinis, fig jam, olives, and cornichons. It also comes with a grilled cheese with pickled pepperoncini peppers on the side. We also ordered escargot. Everything was delicious, crusty bread, juicy pepperoncinis, tangy cornichons went so well with a fig jam laced crostini topped with the cold cuts/cheeses. The escargot, which is served in its beautiful shell engulfed in a wonderful shallot garlic parsley butter sauce. It was quite troublesome for me to dig for as I'm not a pro as well as the plastic mini forks didn't help much(due to the natural angle of the shell) but nonetheless delicious once I managed. They come with crostinis and creme fraiche. Other notes: My total for HH+Escargot+Tip, $108 They have caviar, some desserts, a craft beer fridge. Apart from my Happy Hour "Girl Dinner" they have a fridge with different meats, like duck prosciutto, cheeses like burrata, and others I quickly glimpsed. We've been to this place quite a few times. Last night we went and they were playing the most offensive music, a lot of the "N" word. Not the music you expect in a, as they describe, a chill european wine bar. I approached (who I assumed was the owner) here's how it went... Me: Hi, are you the owner? Her: how can I help you? Me: are you the owner? Her: yeah, sure...how can I help you? (I thought that was a weird response, but ok.) Me: are you aware that the music you're playing is offensive to some of your patrons? Her: we have a new speaker system Me: speakers just play what's selected. That has nothing to do with the music. Her: once we figure out how to use it we will change it. Me: you have options to skip songs, play edited versions, or even select a different genre altogether. Her: it's the speaker system I'm so tired of certain people disregarding the feelings of certain customers. The woman I approached was a tall blonde unattractive woman who is always there in her pearl accented jeans, so I assumed she was the owner. We have spent quite a bit of money at her establishment prior to last night, but we will never go back. I will not spend money where we are not welcomed. read more

I was a frequenter of Sherwoods and was bummed about their departure but then it was announced that 3 of the most talented & respected hospitality champions Miami has to offer came together and created a space and a concept that I believe is going to shape the next phase of this awesome neighborhood. I personally am annoyed with the over use of the word "vibe" but when it comes to MAGIE - it is ALL of the VIBES. Caroline Strauss, Jacqueline Pirolo and the creative fabrications of designer Sofia Cirincione have checked every friggen vibe box that lacks in most places in Miami these days. The service is excellent, the knowledge of the wines, the quality of the cured salty meats and funky cheese among other food offerings, the music, the comfy couches, etc... It's no surprise that in such a short amount of time since opening they are seeing their beautifully curated space fully seated most nights of the week and certainly on Friday and Saturday nights. read more

I'd suggest they consider adding a host, reservation system, or a time limit, as many guests were simply holding tables for over 45 minutes waiting for others to join, without ordering any wine or tapas. My friends and I appreciated the vibes, very cute place for a girls night but we spent ~$300 and we all left starving. That's too much money to still be hungry afterwards and end up eating Flanigans ribs by the end of the night. Gets packed so definitely come early if you want to get a spot. My new favorite spot in Little River! From the moment you step into Magie, you feel relaxed and welcomed. The sofas and chill ambiance make it seem as though you're at a friend's house hanging out and enjoying some pretty amazing small bites. Speaking of small bites, the empanadas are to die for as well as the selection of charcuterie goodies, which you puck and they prepare the plates for you. The wine selection is fantastic and so unique! Lots of different wines to choose from, not the same old average list. If you walk to the back area, you'll find yourself under a beautiful tree canopy enjoying great music and a great ambiance. Highly recommended! read more
