My husband and I cam for a date night and split a bottle of wine - which you can pick out from their selection inside. Unfortunately, our visit was extremely disappointing. We arrived at the restaurant during the rain. Even though the restaurant was almost empty and there were plenty of available tables, we had to wait a long time before being seated. Only after I went back to the hostess and asked again were we finally given a table. We were seated on cold metal chairs. Because of the rainy weather, they were very uncomfortable to sit on, so I politely asked for just one seat cushion. First, I asked our waiter, William, who told me that all the cushions were wet. Then I asked our waitress, Justina, but she also refused. We were then told that the light-colored cushions under the covered area were reserved. I walked over and checked those cushions myself--they were completely dry. Despite that, we were still refused. The most surprising part happened just two minutes later. We were so shocked that I even took a photo. The same waiter, William, who had just told us there were no available cushions, came out from inside the restaurant carrying green cushions and started placing them on the neighboring tables. Naturally, we asked Justina why we had not been offered even one cushion from the beginning. Instead of apologizing or explaining the situation, she reluctantly took one cushion with a clearly annoyed attitude and brought it to us. Honestly, it is difficult to understand why such a simple request had to become an issue. It could have been resolved in seconds, but instead we were repeatedly told "no," only for the staff to do exactly what we had asked for just moments later. The situation became even stranger afterward. I politely asked Justina several times for her name, but instead of simply introducing herself, she walked away and stood behind the manager. I then approached the manager and explained that, as a customer, I have the right to know the name of the person serving me. Instead of answering my simple question, he repeatedly said, "I'm the manager. How can I help you?" I calmly explained several times that I wasn't asking for anything else--I simply wanted to know the waitress's name. He ignored my question completely and kept repeating the exact same sentence over and over again, while Justina stood behind him without saying a word. It was one of the strangest customer service experiences we have ever had. A simple question that should have taken two seconds to answer turned into an unnecessary and uncomfortable confrontation. Unfortunately, the service showed a complete lack of professionalism, hospitality, and customer care. A simple request was turned into an unnecessary problem, and basic questions were ignored. Service is what guests remember most, and unfortunately, this experience left us with a very negative impression. We will not be returning. read more

We ordered pizza which was delicious and paired perfectly with their wine selection that was both affordable and really good quality. We love playing monopoly deal & uno on our dates so it was the perfect chill setting for that. The DJ starts later in the evening which worked out great since we wanted to talk and hang out. There was even this sweet older couple next to us who saw us playing cards & ended up bringing out their own deck so we were all just playing separately but laughing and vibing together. All drinks and on the HH offered, come pre mixed and are super sweet. Very limited food selection and although I didn't try the meats, the cheeses I did had no taste. Had the absolute worse experience last evening. Rude waitress. Called the manager and he was rude. Our food was cold. The drinks awful. And still they would not correct or take it back and fix. I recently discovered River house and it's a great spot for some wine and bites to eat. It's mostly outdoors so expect that if the weather isn't great. The entrance is like walking into your neighbors house and opens up in the back, it is a rather large property. I would describe it as another version of Lagniappe, however, they do have a full bar for those that don't love wine (like a few of my friends). They also have a brick pizza oven which I love, and a decent amount of options to eat. Overall a great spot to catch up with friends, family, basically anything. read more

The staff is friendly and helpful and there is a big variety of wines if you want to hang out for a bit. There is karaoke night on Thursdays, and I attended a wine experience event, which was really nice. I do recommend more fans during the summertime. Also, it is best if you park in the street. I do not recommend that you park at the River Inn parking lot, even if you are a guest; the staff next door in the parking lot and Flor from the front desk are extremely rude and unprofessional to guests.
