Magnolia Cooperative Preschool is a wonderful play-based school where children are encouraged to learn at their own pace in classrooms that include reading corners, art, imaginative play and sensory stations. All of this combined with the guidance and instruction of six experienced, fun and patient teachers helps ensure children are well prepared with the social and developmental skills necessary when entering kindergarten. The school also benefits from having three large classrooms, as well as a music room, kitchen, playground and - as a bonus -- a playroom where parents working in class can drop off siblings or use it if you need an hour or two to run errands! As co-op members, parents participate in and outside the classroom - whether it's bringing snacks, serving on the school board or planning the annual toy and clothing sale or the yearly fun fair. You honestly will not be sorry if you choose the Magnolia Co-op for your children. My son was there for three years and my daughter in in her fourth and final year there. You will learn to be a better parent, develp lasting adult friendships and get to know and understand your children within a social, academic environment so you can see how they learn and deal with others. The families and children who go through the Co-op system are the ones who, in my experience, become the pillars in our community. Research has proven that children who learn critical social/emotional play-based skills in their early education are able to think creativelyt and have the life skills to take them wherever they want to go. I have witrnessed this with my son, who is now in elementatry school. He was extremely well-prepared for kindergarten and is thriving in the early grades. The Magnolia Cooperative Preschool is such a great school. I can't say enough good things about it. My son spent 3 years at the Co-Op and is a happy and successful 1st grader. My daughter is in her 4th year at the Co-Op and loving it. The teachers are experienced, caring and dedicated to the school and it's members. The play based curriculum allows the kids to learn the needed skills to be ready to enter kindergarten in a way that's fun and not stressful for the kids or the parents. I also love belonging to a school that stresses parent education and provides us with countless tools to help us have a better relationship with our children. I'm sad this will be are final year at the Co-Op, but excited to see my youngest to take all the things she learned at the Co-op and apply them in elementary school. Our family has been a part of the Co-op family for 6 years, and we have loved every minute of it. A great community for parents - supporting each other in the classroom and beyond, and a wonderful place of learning and play for our kids - so many friendships that have continued from the early years. The classrooms are full of art supplies, books, trains, sensory tables, puzzles, dress-up clothes, open space, supplies for creating and achieving just about anything your child can conceive of. The teachers are super - they really care about each child, supporting where they are and what they need to realize their potential at each developmental stage. Magnolia Cooperative Preschool has proven to be a great experience for our entire family. It has provided a safe, clean and comfortable environment for our daughter to socialize with other kids her age and has given her exposure to some amazing teachers. Our daughter graduated last year from the preschool and is now in Kindergarten. She is confident, articulate, and is more than prepared for Kindergarten, even though she is one of the youngest and smallest child in the class. The preschool helped her social development tremendously. The school atmosphere was really a caring and safe place for her. She is now reading on her own after only one month in school. She is also adding and subtracting all on her own. Wow. Excellent teachers, supportive parent advisors, and a great group of parents who are committed to nurturing and development of each child. This is a wonderful preschool where parents and teachers work together to help the children grow and learn. I could not have asked for a better environment for my children in their early formative years. Friendships made here are lifelong, both for the kids and families. The small class sizes allow the teachers to work individually with the children to meet their personal needs. The child to adult ratio is never greater than 3:1. Having a playroom available to preschool members during operating hours is great! This is fun play space for siblings to be while parents are in class with a child, or for children of the preschool to be for drop-off playtime. read more

This school has been a lovely way to build community for my entire family. By spending time in your kiddos classroom you really get to know their teachers, peers and the other families. The built in parent education is also a really cool way to have a dedicated time to discuss parenting. I find it so helpful to connect with other caregivers about the random daily challenges of raising littles and to share helpful tips. I have one kid in his 3rd year at the CoOp and another in the playroom and it's been a great experience. The teachers are great and parent involvement in class brings a diverse perspective not available at drop off preschools. My son came home singing in Japanese one day after learning a new song from another parent - that just doesn't happen at schools without this level of parent involvement in the classroom. Our family has had a great experience with Magnolia Coop. My kids and I started attending when they were 1. The Coop has great teachers, classrooms, and events. It's very affordable and as bonus provides drop off child care for members and siblings. The best part of joining the Coop has been meeting all of the families in our area with kids the same age as ours. I would recommend this preschool to anyone out there looking. read more

I love the Magnolia Co-op Preschool. My son will be starting his third year here in the Fall. We've had great teachers who really care about kids and a wonderful parent community.
