All of my kids have loved going everyday and have so much fun learning and playing. Lil People's World has been a major part of our lives for so long, I am sad that my last baby will be graduating out and starting school next year. It's truly sad to think of the family we are leaving behind. Over the last 14 years we have made so many friends a long the way that will be lifetime friends. The school has helped our son grow and addressed minor learning challenges competently and compassionately. We've noticed greater resilience and problem solving that we can attribute to the school's strong social-emotional curriculum. The teachers are caring and in tune with his and his classmates' needs, and the cohort model has suited him well where he strives in some areas academically but struggles in others. The cohort model allows him to extend in the areas that come easier to him, and he gets the support he needs in the areas that are more challenging. The community itself was incredibly welcoming (we joined in second-grade), and the kids are kind are welcoming too. We appreciate the pluralistic approach to Jewish education - although our family is on the more traditional side we feel welcome and included and we the same for kids from less-traditional families. Together the students are all developing strong Jewish identities and appreciation for our history and culture. And the Hebrew curriculum is set up so that both students with no Hebrew background (or Hebrew-speaking parents), and those with Hebrew fluency can all learn at their level.

My son has attended this co-op preschool for about a year, and he gets so much out of it. I love…read morethat it meets on Saturday mornings, which means his dad can attend with him. It is so awesome to see pics of my two guys building ramps together or cuddling during story time, and my fella really loves seeing our son grow and change along with the other kids in the class. The second thing I adore about our class is the talent: our teacher, Monica, is actually an opera singer, and she brings her beautiful singing to every circle time. Anyone who's heard a group of parents droning along to a song knows what a blessing a gifted teacher can be. Monica also provides a very laid back, attachment friendly style. When my son was scared of one of the circle time routines, she altered the practice to help him adjust, and she came up with clever ideas to help ease him into the routines of preschool. We also have a gifted "parent educator" who doesn't cram education down our throats but offers ad hoc support, tips and understanding. Third pro is the mixed ages. Any kid 1 - 3 years old can enroll. The bigger kids learn sibling skills and get to show off for the littler ones, and the younger ones get to copy bigger kids. It's a fascinating process to observe how fast the little ones learn. Finally, I love that I feel comfortable and at home in our class. The class doesn't operate along gender lines, which makes it feel queer friendly. The other parents who attend with their kids are friendly and open. Our teacher has a lot to do with that atmosphere. Cons? As I see it, this preschool's only flaw is that the co-op is perhaps too laid-back about organizing, which means we hover on the brink of under-enrollment. In short, I couldn't recommend our Saturday preschool more. Even though my own son is close to aging out, I hope the class will continue for many more years because it is so wonderful.

The stars of the show are the wonderful teacher Monica and Parent Educator Glenn. They are immensely wise and talented and gifted teachers. Thanks to the wonderful Monica and Glenn we have beautiful animated singing during circle time, ukulele-playing and sign language instruction too! We look forward to Saturday mornings in preschool because of these great teachers and fun multilingual families. We'll be sad to age out (though it won't be for a while) . . . hopefully by then the age range will be expanded so our son can continue to have fun being part of this community.

We love the cozy, house-setting of this school where the two teachers are able to give lots of attention to the children. The teachers: Katherine and Rene were both well-versed in the Montessori method, at the same they incorporate the fun and art into the learning process. They also offer Spanish each day during 2nd circle time, and cooking day on Fridays. For older children they offer an after lunch program with more practices on reading, writing & art 3 days a week. There are many animals & creatures around the school where the students are able to observe and help take care of. There's a garden where kids lean to cultivate and nurture the fruits and vegetables during spring, summer & fall season. On our observation day before we even sign up for it, our son loved it so much he had trouble leaving, and now we have a hard time getting him to leave school every day, too. If you are looking for a school with warm, loving teachers who will help your children grow into their own individuals, this a great place!

The small class size and low stress environment has really led to her success. I love the age ranges here, 2.5-5 year olds. She got to watch her friends get ready and graduate to kindergarten. The Montessori philosophy has really grounded her in tasks, reading, writing and math skills. A large yard with chickens and trees to climb, raspberries to pick. An array of art projects, cooking classes, and various "work" she can grow into. Self guided work mostly, but she's received a lot of attention to develop her skills.
