This was my first time going with magnolia dog grooming and I have to say it was the best. It was really quick and easy to fill out the forms and questions. She was able to fit me in this morning really last minute and cut my dogs hair just as I asked. He smelled so good after and looked amazing. Hello again, dear reader. I am updating this review, as the owner of this business has responded here, not of course to any of my text messages about the problem. A brief look across all her review responses hold a common theme, she essentially gaslights the people leaving negative feedback and says "They should have said something at the time." Unfortunately for me, I was so shocked at the fact that my dog was covered in food I could barely form words. I suppose in this land of arbitrary rules that she makes up, under these guidelines she has fabricated, as a subject of the grand design only she knows about, one could find oneself to blame for this catastrophe, but thankfully we all live in the real world. Perhaps, when the owner of Magnolia Grooming is done eating today, she could potentially address any of the things I brought up in this review. This is not a "miscommunication." I am being very clear: -You didn't cut the dog how I asked -You claimed she had fleas when she didn't and bumped the price up without warning -You dropped PIZZA on her and gave her back stained -You refused to offer even a partial refund -You ignored my texts and forced me to write this review. At first, when penning the initial review, I was trying to warn other potential customers of the issues they may run into when this slovenly, sloppy dog groomer stuffs her face around your pets and covers them in her afternoon snack. Now, since she seems determined to call me either a fool or a liar, I must address her directly, since we know she reads these and attempts to discredit the reviewer with all the meager brain power she can muster- your excuse, universal throughout all the negative feedback here, is that nobody said anything at the time, well we didn't take her to a pizza place in between your house and ours, and nobody said you did a good job at the time- that is a flat out lie. I was stunned into silence by your ineptitude and unprofessional antics. I accept that I'm not getting a refund, this woman is obviously a thief, and I accept that people will still bring their dogs to her despite my warnings, but I implore the owner of this alleged business to please learn a lesson from this, and hopefully be able to practice some self restraint in the future, perhaps waiting until you're not standing near dogs we love very much while you stuff your face. Do most dogs move a lot ? Hmm... I was told that my puppies move a lot. So the groomer can not trim his rear and paws because safety is more important than beauty. I agree with the statement but I would expect a professional groomer should have been trained and know how to groom a dog who move a lot. I know my puppies move a lot when I used the cheap clippers on them. The clipper pulls their hair. That's why they move a lot because it hurts them. What is the reason we take our puppies to be groomed ? Is it because we just can not do a good job on certain areas (ex: paw, rear...) ? I know for sure it is the reason I take them to a professional groomer. Now I have to fix it unfortunately. (Note)she offered me to take them back. But they will move "a lot" again. After my son came home with his bordercollie/poodle mix. I wasn't happy with grooming so I sent her a text explaining my dissatisfaction.... "Hi Aracely. My son came home with Obie and I just wanted to say, that I am not happy with the work you did on him. He also told me u charged him 45, on his first time when I took him to u, u only charged 39 for him. I'm not concerned about the money, I'm more concerned that the area I pointed out to you be corrected at no charge" "I have referred my niece and my cousin to you. I've told them you are reasonable and do a great job. I hate to have to tell them that I was wrong. Ty" Aracely called me back immediately telling me what is wrong with me.....the dogs hair is that way...I told her I'd be willing to send her before photos....she became irate, starting yelling and overriding my voice. We were actually in a yelling match!!! She kept saying how she didn't cut his hair....I was trying to tell her...perhaps you should have, then I would not complain on how horrible Obie looked. She completely refused to acknowledge her error and kept speaking over me.....So I did what any reasonable person would do.......I told her where she can go and I hung up. I have 8 dogs. I used to take them to PetSmart in Nordhoff, and it was really bad. Honestly, don't take your dogs to PetSmart; it's a terrible grooming place. Then, my babysitter introduced me to her dog groomer, and my kids got to know these angels. I've never seen such a good groomer before. My dogs were all relaxed without being in a cage.
