I arrived for a 30 minute session and was greeted by Melissa who told me Rebecca would be doing my makeover for the evening. While I waited for Rebecca, Melissa got a feel for my skin type. She then primed my face, gave me some tips on shaping my brows with makeup, and we spoke about eyeshadow shades. Soon Rebecca arrived and started the makeover. Rebecca explained each technique and what product she used and even had me try a few techniques on my own. While she was still doing the makeover Melissa came back over and we all chatted for a bit. Overall this was a great experience. I learned a lot from Rebecca and Melissa in a short period of time. They were both professional and made me feel comfortable. I'm sure I will be returning!

When I got to the store, the store was completely empty, not one person! I stood at the counter and waited as I saw her in the back doing her OWN makeup! I went over to her and told her I had an appointment at 1:00 for lashes and I'm sorry that I'm running so late. She asked if I could come back, because the store MIGHT get busy! I said I'm not able to, due too my sister getting married and I was already running behind. She responded NO, sorry. And I said it takes 15 minutes to put lashes on and there's literally nobody in the store, as she was sitting there doing HER makeup! I got upset out of frustration, and urgency of getting to the wedding venue on time! I asked for the store manager's name and she stated that she was the store manager and said her name was something that I did not catch. She said she would give me her card, I said great! I mentioned it was ridiculous considering it doesn't take that long to get lashes, and she went on to say lashes are only $15 its NOT WORTH MY TIME. I got extremely upset as a consumer and stated that's not how you are supposed to do business! She told me then that I did not consider her feelings as when I came in and interrupted her! I then asked if I could just purchase the lashes and I will get someone else to do it and she stated she would NOT sale me the lashes because I had an attitude! By this time I was extremely upset and just wanted the business card so I can go to another store to get my lashes. She then denied me the business card she offered because I had an attitude and threaten to call the police on me because of my attitude! I am 39 years old, and never in my life have I been treated like this before! I will also be reaching out to corporate office every day until something is done about her.

There were two employees working. Only one paid attention to us even though we all needed individual help. We found this employee to be dismissive and quite frankly, insulting. My friend asked for a highlighter and the employee said sarcastically "well what have you been seeing online that you like?" When she showed us a product she said someone on tik tok with lots of "older followers" likes this product - we are in our 30s. That is offensive. They sell cosmetics, skincare, beauty & haircare, and fragrances; they also have their own line. Sephora and Kohl's partnered up in 2020. This was done to expand Sephora and reach out to more customers, of different socioeconomic backgrounds; Kohl's also wanted to bring in the younger crowds to their stores. Also, it made it more accessible for people to buy brands offered at Sephoras, even if they're located in small suburban towns. Typically, Sephoras are located in metropolitan areas. I like Kohl's and I like Sephora; I'm glad there is one near me. It's obviously smaller than the standalone stores but it has pretty much all of your beauty needs. They have all of the popular brand names and samples to try out. The store was clean and organized. I do think the prices at Sephora are high, so I don't splurge there too often. Overall, a good location and I'm sure local makeup lovers are happy it's there.
