I enjoyed breakfast here with my daughter in law and my grandson. There was a 1 hr 30 minute wait for a table of 3 on a late Saturday morning. Once we were seated we were greeted right away by a super friendly server who was offering recommendations on some of her favorite items. That was very much appreciated. The decor reminded very much of First Watch. So did the menu. Some of the menu items are overpriced which I totally expected. At our table we had The Farm Breakfast, Lemon Blueberry Pancakes, Breakfast potatoes, Peppered bacon and Kid's French Toast Sticks with fruit. Everything was delicious. I requested my eggs overhard and crispy and they were prepared exactly right. It was my first time having strawberry butter and I really liked it. And my daughter in law appreciated the size, texture and taste of her lemon blueberry pancakes. The iced tea was just the right amount of sweet and the iced caramel latte was a hit. I have never written a bad review on Yelp. I normally just don't say anything if I don't like a place but this place deserves the bad review. I hope it saves someone their hard earned money. This place is riding the Magnolia brand. So I got 2 burgers with fries, and fried chicken with mashed potatoes. The meal was $108 after tip. This was like cheap comfort food and it was over $100? I could have got this a Denny's. The service was slow and one burger was sent back 2x because they kept putting cheese on it even after we told them there was a lactose food allergy. Even after the 3rd time it still had cheese residue because they scraped it off. Also the burgers are super greasy and no veggies to at least cut the grease. The ambience is average and feels like you are too close to the next table. Waco has some good restaurants. Go to different one. read more

Plus, I feel like you get great portion sizes for the pricing! FAST FACTS: * Located 5-10 minutes from the Silos property * Parking - free lot next to the restaurant with plenty of parking available * Reservations - available through OpenTable for parties of 6 or fewer and highly recommended... they accept walk ups but there could be a long wait depending on the time and season * Take Away - available through the little market attached to the restaurant (you can also call 254-265-6859 to order ahead for to go) * Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options available * Closed on Sundays SERVICE - This was my third time visiting Magnolia Table and I had the best service yet! Elaine was a phenomenal waitress... she was so bubbly and personable, made recommendations for menu items to try, and made sure we had what we needed from start to finish including water refills and a box for take aways. PRICING - The total was $68.75 after tax ($5.24) but before tip for a cappuccino ($5), latte ($5), Jo's buttermilk biscuits with strawberry butter ($10.50), Jo's buttermilk biscuits with sausage gravy ($11.50), breakfast sandwich ($14), Jo's crunchy French toast ($14), and a side of french fries ($3.50). I think the pricing was reasonable for the portion sizes you get! JO'S BUTTERMILK BISCUITS WITH STRAWBERRY BUTTER (9/10) - The biscuits are a MUST order every visit! I'm a biscuit snob and these are some of my favorite. They're so soft and buttery without being greasy. You get 4 good size biscuits with PLENTY of strawberry butter to douse them with. I'd order these again in a heartbeat! JO'S BUTTERMILK BISCUITS WITH SAUSAGE GRAVY (9/10) - I had never tried the sausage gravy before so I wanted to give it a shot and wasn't disappointed. It was a perfect Southern sausage gravy... it was the right consistency (not too thick or thin) with plenty of sausage crumbles throughout and I loved the fresh cracked pepper on top. You get 3 good size biscuits (same thoughts as above) with plenty of the sausage gravy. I'd order these again in a heartbeat too! BREAKFAST SANDWICH (8/10) - Overall, this was a great sandwich. The croissant wasn't the best croissant I've ever had... it was flaky but a little flat. The arugula was super fresh, the tomato slice was nice and juicy, and the garlic aioli was delicious! I had my egg cooked over easy and the runny yolk really made the sandwich! You get a generous side of breakfast potatoes as well. I probably wouldn't order this again only because I'd rather try other things. JO'S CRUNCHY FRENCH TOAST (10/10) - Phenomenal! The caramel cornflakes have the perfect level of sweetness... you don't even need the syrup because the actual French toast with the whipped cream is enough on its own. You get 6 halves of French toast which is plenty to fill you up. I'd definitely order this again! FRENCH FRIES WITH FRY SAUCE (8.5/10) - The French fries were cooked well and weren't overly greasy. The fry sauce is the star of the show... so good! I'd order these again if I were in the mood for fries. The cappuccino and latte were surprisingly good as well! Definitely worth the $5 each! Of course, Magnolia Table is incredibly aesthetically pleasing, but I'm happy to report that the quality of service and taste of food match and even exceed expectations. Ordered some French toast and the farm breakfast. Loved the seasoned potatoes. The flight of mimosas was just that. The snicker doodle donut holes remind us of churros. Definitely worth it to make a reservation. It's easy to do so on their website. At 11am on a Tuesday morning the place was packed. Everything about our experience was excellent. Lovely interior decor, clean facilities, yummy food and kind service. The only things that gave me pause were that the pothos (which are gorgeous and living their best life) were encroaching on our table, also it was loud in the restaurant. 10/10 experience! I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Magnolia Table! I was a little nervous because sometimes with famous celebrity restaurants, they're overhyped and overpriced. Not the case here! It was everything it was cracked up to be and more. Plus SUPER reasonable prices! The restaurant is located about 10 minutes from the Silos. The parking lot is pretty big but if packed might be hard to find a spot. Speaking of packed, make sure you make reservations! We went at 2:30 on a Wednesday and it was the last available for the day (we made the reservation well in advance!). The space is gorgeous. Very clean, elegant, cozy, and homely all in one. I haven't been a huge Gaines follower but can see their style and values shine through here, but totally not commercialized or overrated. The food! Farm Breakfast - very tasty! Great options. The strawberry butter is unique and delicious. Chicken Tender Plate - phenomenal! The chicken was so juicy, tender, flavorful, and dipped in the hot honey and fry sauce. YUM!! That sauce is to die for! The fries were also well seasoned and the biscuit was buttery and flaky. You really have to check out this place if in Waco, Gaines fans or not it's truly outstanding. I thought for sure this was going to be a 5 star spot for me. Visiting Magnolia Table was a bucket list stop for my wife on our Texas trip. If I was basing my review on the service and the beautiful ambiance, they definitely get a 5. But when I factored the food, they just missed being the perfect breakfast spot for me. Having said that, I loved this place. I was able to make a reservation several months before our trip, which was very nice. My sister lives in Texas and I heard stories of having to wait hours to be seated. So be sure to make your reservations ahead of time. The restaurant is beautiful, inside and out. Lot's of patio seating the inside dining is a pretty good size. This place will give you a nice home fell to it. The staff is amazing. Everyone had the friendly attitude that we came to know and expect all throughout Texas...people are just genuinely nice. The Food. One of the things we heard was "you have to try the strawberry butter." We ordered an appetizer that was several biscuits and a flight of butter. The strawberry butter is not included in this flight. There were 4 other butters that I didn't really care for with the exception of the herb butter. You can order the biscuits specifically with the strawberry butter if you want. The strawberry butter will also come with any of the meals that includes a biscuit. The biscuits are great but I personally did not care too much for the strawberry butter. But that is probably a personal problem on my end. lol! For my main breakfast, I ordered the Farm Breakfast and a breakfast taco. The Farm Breakfast was a basic breakfast meal to me. Nothing special, but it was hot and everything tasted good. The taco again, nothing special. Very basic with just egg, meat in a tortilla. I was hoping there would be a signature sauce or something to go with it. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and my daughter ordered the Crunch French toast. Both of them liked their meals. I don't want this to sound like a negative review...it really is not. I am just trying to convey my honest opinion. It really shouldn't cost $70 for 1 adult and 2 children for breakfast. That's a bit much. They are banking off of the Magnolia name. The ambiance is eh....they cram you in, table upon table. I've found that when I visit Waco the restaurant foods to be subpar so I was pleasantly surprised when I ate at Magnolia table. The wait on a weekend is like 45min to and 1 and 30 minutes so be prepared for that and be patient and kind to staff. I really enjoyed my breakfast sandwich on a croissant bread and my cold brew. The Donut holes were a bit dry, I poured some milk on them they quickly absorbed it and that helped. The atmosphere is light and cafe modern. They have family style seating and non family style. I personally love family style and don't mind sitting with strangers, it's a good opportunity to talk with people. Would visit again to try other parts of menu. read more

Magnolia Table far exceeded every single expectation we had!! The experience always starts with the hostess and she was genuinely welcoming with a smile and sweet greeting. When we were seated after a short wait, our server greeted us quickly with such a warm and wonderful smile we truly felt welcome and at home! We were incredibly disappointed with our experience. Upon being seated, we noticed a dead fly on our table--definitely not the welcome we expected. The hostess removed and wiped it with the same hand damp cloth, which raised some concerns about hygiene. Unfortunately, the food didn't redeem the situation. Both the steak and salmon were overcooked, dry, and lacked flavor. The pasta was equally underwhelming--overpowered by garlic and noticeably dry. To top it all off, the bill was surprisingly high. For a restaurant that doesn't meet five-star standards--something we're very familiar with--it came with a five-star price tag.
