I struggled with how to start this review, not for any bad reason, but because from the second I…read morewalked in, everything was excellent. The decor, the service, the food, the wine, all impeccable, fun, and quirky in the best way. The setup is very odd, seems like a wine bar you could find in a mall, but it's cute and endearing immediately upon entering. The nice woman inside the bar took my order quickly and politely ignored how awkward I am. I was asked if I was opting in to the wine tasting so OF COURSE I said yes, and was treated to a vast array of the best wines I've tasted in a long time, along with complimentary cheese and crackers. I got the antipasto plate which was prepared by a chef with a bedazzled headband the appeared to have wandered in looking for the Doobie Brothers concert, and while the antipasto was anything crazy it was very well priced. The house cabernet was also a perfect dry red and well worth the price. My main was a muffeleta which was perfect. Warm and salty and every flavor shined through and paired perfectly with my dry wine. Everything about this place is warm and cozy. Even the ambient music is at the perfect volume; loud enough to break the silence, quiet enough to chitchat. This would be a wonderful place to bring a first date to make them think you're way more cultures than you really are. Great wine, great service, great ambiance, and great food. This is one of the friendliest most inviting places I've ever had the joy of visiting, highest of recommendations; I know it's out of the way, but well worth the stop.

Five stars, though that hardly captures the vintage of this place…read more From the moment you step inside, it feels like an uncorking--there's that soft release of the day, a subtle pop of tension giving way to warmth. The room breathes. Conversation aerates. You settle in the way a good bottle opens up after a moment in the glass. The food has depth, the kind that suggests it's been allowed to develop properly. Nothing rushed. Nothing overworked. Homestyle dishes arrive layered and generous, as if they've been patiently aged rather than assembled. There's structure to the menu--comfort as the body, flavor as the finish--and it lingers in the best way. The service pours easy and steady. Attentive without overwhelming, like a thoughtful decant that lets everything open naturally. Recommendations come with care, never pretense. You feel guided, not sold to. And then there's the crowd--the true terroir of the place. Warm, grounded, unassuming. Neighbors, first dates, old friends--each table adding its own note to the atmosphere. By the end of the night, the whole room feels blended, balanced, harmonious. Some establishments chase trends. This one feels like a good vintage--crafted with intention, allowed to mature, and shared generously. You don't just visit. You savor.

Dreaming of a lovely lunch on the Rive Gauche, but stuck in central Florida? Come fill your soul…read morewith some Parisian pleasure. The Bistro dining room is charming and stylish. Generous seating and calm, peaceful music make for a very intimate setting to enjoy with dinning companions. We started off with the Charcuterie platter. Beautifully prepared and served/explained by Chef John. This included an oven fresh baguette, served in its own delightful paper bag. For entrées we shared the Beef Bourguigon, and Ratatouille. Both were delicious. I have so much respect for Chef John. Operating a small high end restaurant in 2026, must be the toughest job around. From the competition around him, the high cost of quality specialty foods, rent, staff and providing experiences. You can feel the love in every bite. Go treat yourself to a wonderful dinning experience. A Votre Sante' Chef John.

That level of care is increasingly rare, and it deserves real credit. Where the experience faltered, unfortunately, was the food. The prefix menu included many dishes, but most missed the mark. They felt lackluster, missing the depth, seasoning, or execution that would match the charm of the service. Nothing was outright bad, but nothing stood out either. It's the kind of meal that leaves you wishing the kitchen's ambition matched the front‑of‑house enthusiasm. It may have been an off night, but there was only one other couple in the place on a Friday dinner service, so that may have been a sign up front.

I guess this place is now called Scooters Barbeque @ Crossroads 44 Music & Sports Bar. The main building is closed; I heard through the grapevine that the owner just shut it down like a week ago and a new owner will be taking it over soon. Around back, there is a decent sized covered bar where we were hanging out. There are two pool tables and several other games out there, plus TV monitors for watching the big game. There is no air conditioning as it's an outside bar, but it is covered and they have several fans to help keep the stank moving. There is also a stage available for live entertainment. Although some of this place is newly renovated it's still a dive bar and there is no indoor restrooms only two porta potties out back which are long due for exchange. Drinks are reasonable, about $5.50 for a well whiskey and ginger ale. The young girl working the bar was sweet as sugar, but I felt bad for her because it was super hot out today even in the shade and with fans going. All-in-all, this is a pretty cool bar to check out if you like biker bars and want to swing by for a cold drink and some fun with your riding buddies.
